<p>Throughout the building process we were very pleased with Steven's work.  He provided the best competing bid and was a very personable guy to work with.  Additionally, he regularly provided us with a detailed status of our project's progress.  I was initially very pleased with his work, but over the course of the summer several pieces of vinyl siding fell off.  Steven was initially fairly responsive in fixing the problems, but more problems soon arose -- the biggest problem has been with the vinyl ceiling that sags due to either being too flimsy or not having enough supports. Initially, I told Steven that we could live with it, but problem got progressively worse and pieces of the ceiling began to fall out.  Steven has agreed to fix everything, but it has been a couple months and getting him back out to fix the shortfalls now that he has been paid has been impossible. Repeated phone calls and emails now go unreturned. I resorted to having to use screws to re-attach some of the vinyl siding in order to avoid water damage. In doing so and upon closer inspection of the problem, I also noticed some seams were not caulked and a piece of the flashing was never even nailed down.  So much for quality workmanship.  At the end of the day, Steven is a nice guy, but it is hard to get him back to fix the initial shortfalls that should not have occurred in the first place.<br /> <br /></p>

Steve was very punctual, showing up early every day. The work didn't exceed the estimate, and he was very good about explaining any needed changes as they came up. His knowledge of construction standards was very helpful and one of the main reasons we chose Townside. The projects listed were not done in a single contract, but over three seperate visits. The fit and finish of all of the projects are second to none. We will definitely use Townside in the future. <br />

Steven did an awesome job on our basement. He was very professional, flexible, and most importantly his work was quality for a fair price. I would recommend Townside to a friend without hesitation.

Exceptional service!  We originally called Steve to ask if he could tell us if a certain wall was load bearing, as we'd never had to make that determination before, and didn't want to risk making a mistake if we took on the project ourselves.  He said he could, and we arranged a time for him to come to our house.  He was prompt, friendly, and professional, and he took a look at the wall (plus another one that we were also considering removing), and let us know that one was safe to remove, while the other wasn't.  We thanked him, and asked how much we owed him for his expert advice.  He said that we didn't owe him anything.  Since that was the only reason he'd come to our house, we were really amazed.  Out of curiosity, we asked him how much he would charge to take down the wall and get it ready for paint.  He said he'd put together a quote and let us know.  We heard back from him the same day with a quote of $1200, and said it would probably take a couple of days to complete the project.  We asked if he had a military discount, and he said he'd see what he could do.  We heard back from him very quickly, and he said he could give us a military rate of $1100.  We decided we were better off hiring him than doing the work ourselves, and made arrangements for him to come out in a week, when he had free space in his schedule.  However, a couple of days later, he called and said that upcoming rain had delayed another project, and he asked if we'd like him to come out earlier.  We said that would be great, and set up a time.  He arrived promptly on time, did the work quickly, kept our home as clean as possible during the project, and cleaned up after himself when he left.  He worked essentially 2 1/2 full days, then came back in the evening on a 3rd day to finish sanding after the mud on the drywall was dry.  His work and professionalism were exceptional.  We also asked him to take a look at an outdoor faucet, which he took apart and then explained which piece was broken and needed replaced.  He was willing to do the work, but explained how we could do it ourselves.  Because he didn't actually repair the faucet, he again refused to charge us for his advice.  The same was true for a couple of other issues in the house--he evaluated them, and told us how to fix them, then refused payment for the advice.  He was certainly willing to do the work; he just wasn't going to act like it was something that wasn't simple for us to do on our own.  We would absolutely hire him again.  He was prompt, honest, set a fair price, and did great work.  He was also an absolute pleasure to do business with. <br />

<p>One of the best things about Steve is he showed up when he was suppose to! </p> It was nice to watch things go so smoothly ....There was nothing he couldn't do. I thought I was going to have to hire a plumber to install the shower toilet sink water heater etc but I didn't.

Steven did an amazing job at a very competitive rate. He set a work schedule that was convenient for us and always showed up on time. His estimate for labor and materials was spot on. We did not end up with excess material or waste. Steven was great to work with, friendly, and easy to talk to. We had never taken on a project of this scope, but he was always happy to lend some advice and answer our questions. I had no problem leaving Steve to his work while I had to leave the house to run errands. Completely trustworthy. I would use his services again and recommend Townside wholeheartedly.
