"Dear Mr. [Member Name Removed], In response to your review for mold testing & remediation, I am sorry to read that you were unhappy with the services National Mold gave you. I would like to begin by explaining why there are two different company names. We are Tri State Flood Inc, the company you contacted through the Angi app. National Mold is the company that we use for mold testing and remediation. They are a very reputable company and we have never ever had an issue working with them. From what I was told, you and your sister Missy have a very old house and was trying to keep any repairs as "authentic" as possible. Regarding the price, we were told the job total was $5375, not $5500. The job was originally quoted over the phone according to pictures that you provided and conversation. Lynn negotiated the mold testing with you as well from $200 per test to $50 which is not common in this industry. Air scrubbers, fans, containment equipment, disinfectant, encapsulation was done in addition to removing the board, sanding, painting including 4-5 coats of staining. After the remediation services were provided, we were told that you were very happy with the work. The initial quote of $4500 - $5000 was provided to you over the phone before actually seeing the project and did not include the testing. Regarding the odor that you smell, it could very well be the paint. I was also informed there was a strong smell of cat urine in the home. I was told that copies of the mold testing report and invoice was provided to you as well. As far as payment, I was made aware that you were upset that you were being held responsible when it is actually your sisters house. Your sister signed a Work Order Authorization, as it is her house. I hope that you were able to work things out with her. Please let me know if my reply to your review was accurate.
