I would not hire Triton Landscaping or John DeMarco. While he seems like a decent person, he is not. The service and deliverables are horrible. Here's what will happen. They will show you a great rendering. They will provide you with a fairly expensive budget, but this is a mirage. As you can see from the renderings the plan was nice but the images are what I actually received. Nearly 60% of all plants died, tons of weeds, tons of roots and nothing resembling the rendering and proposal. My bid included removal of all old existing plants and shrubs. We pulled out at least 5 major roots after the work was done. Weeds - we paid extra for weed removal and I now have more weeds than before. The worst part was the design and plants used. John claims to have his own nursery, which supposedly saves you money, when all he is doing is giving you what doesn't sell. The plants and shrubs I got could have been purchased at home depot. I think the images speak for themselves but I've already paid extra to another landscaper to repair some of this mess and will have to do another round this spring. His crew delivered several arborvitaes trees that were bare at the bottom with broken limbs. I was told that the trees would put out new growth and this has yet to happen. In addition, the trees were not evenly spaced. John never returned to the site (physically) to see the final landscaped area. Why would you not want to see your work? His responsiveness after getting paid was awful. I would never hire him again... I'm only asking for what I paid for... full healthy trees! At this point, a refund on these trees would be nice but I'm sure that will never happen although it would be the right thing for him to do.. See the picture below of the 10-12 ft arbs that were delivered. Would you want these? PS..I sent John pictures of these trees and have yet to receive a response....
