Wanted Two Zone high end system and my regular AC guy was not able to do it. Larry lives by me so I looked up his reviews online and all were excellent. Larry got me the exact system I wanted. He did an excellent job, completed same day with his helper, cleaned everything up and followed up. I highly recommend him.

Mr Trost is very professional and courteous. He repaired my AC when others said it couldn’t saving me money. I would definitely recommend him for your AC needs.

My AC wouldn't cool and a repairman from a different company diagnosed the problem as a bad compressor. To get a second opinion, I called Larry Trost and he came over the same day and found it was just a bad wire. Larry got the AC running within 15 minutes!

Larry came and gave a second opinion to see if my daughter actually needed a u/v light installed for about$900 + so I called Larry from Angie"s List.He said no we do not really need one ,just a regular cleaning as some accumulation is normal.But he said his price would be $385 if it was needed. in the future.Larry is the owner and has no desire to up sell customers .This was my first experience with Larry and I am pleased with him being up front for not trying to sell me something we do not actually need..His good reputation is important to him and his reviews all see Larry as an honest professional.I would recommend Larry for a second opinion if you are ever in doubt as I was with the other company..

Evidently Larry figured out there was a Freon leak. My previous air conditioner repair company wanted to replace the entire unit. Larry came out and repaired the leak and my system works perfectly. He is an honest guy and works hard to help people save money. I highly recommend him and his company.

I got home at 11:30 P.M. and house was at 95*. I called Larry at Trost Heating and Cooling. Larry came to my home at midnight, diagnosed the problem and replaced the fan within 30 to 45 minutes. Eureka ! A cool home in which to sleep . Thanks a lot, Larry ps I have also used Larry for my business, Pup In A Tub for several years. We at the shop have always received excellent service at awesome prices.

Larry was great, super responsive and solved our problem. All other companies wanted to replace the central air unit but Larry was able to fix it in no time. He was really professional and efficient. We would highly recommend him for all projects.

Excellent service - extremely knowledgeable - quick response time (and this was the first time I ever used them) - more-than-fair price - A+ for customer service, from the moment I placed the call - they surely knock the socks off any possible competitor!! Can you tell I am thrilled with their service and now a customer for life? Larry is the owner, and he is the A/C pro you'll get to do all the work. I was without A/C since yesterday, and called my usual company in Bradenton... the same company that sold me the unit 2 years ago and has been servicing it since - but NO longer, now that I know of Trost Heating and Cooling. Get this - I hadn't heard back from my company about a service time for over 3 hours, so I called Trost. Larry immediately pinpointed and fixed the recurring problem I had been having with my unit - and did so even before the other company finally got back to me. It turned out to be the drain line hadn't been pitched properly when installed. Also, Larry told me I've been using the wrong size filter, and installed a correct one for me. Again, that dang company that installed the unit (LP??) never once told me it took an irregular size, and their techs were out here several times putting in the filters I provided. They sure lost me as a customer...and you better believe I will spread the word about how good Larry Trost is. Bottom line: great company - unbeatable customer service - excellent price - prompt and reliable - customer for life!!! Plus, when you use them, they won't try to upswell you like so many others do. Larry Trost the owner is exactly what you want in an Air Conditioning tech: He is trustworthy, professional, reliable, cost efficient and the guy who does most of the work. The guy you pay, is the guy doing the work. It's a beautiful thing. My Trane Air Conditioner was sucking the money out of my pocked for years, and finally ceased functioning completely. The estimates to get it replaced were high. I asked a total of five companies to submit bids, and most ignored my request and gave me bids on things I said I did not want. Also most sent out salesmen. Larry was the one company where the guy who was going to do the installation was the guy who showed up. I checked his background, and He has a great HVAC education, he came out in a truck that screamed “Hey I can do this right now”. Then He gave me a great price. Next he showed up on time and finished in one day. Then he cleaned up after himself. It went so well that I had him replace a second AC unit, in a rental I have in Ruskin. Both jobs on time under budget and done with high quality workmanship. I could not ask for a better HVAC guy. Now I just give him my tenet's phone number and he repaired the hot water heater instead of replacing it. So he set up the repair time for me (saving me a bunch of time), and did the work the next day, way under what I thought I was going to pay. Whats not to like? Would recommend him in a minute to my brother. Sounds like BS, but it's not. He is so good I just spent about 30 minutes writing this review, that got to tell you something.

Here is my story. My tenants from my investment property located in Sarasota FL reported an AC issue which is not cooling for cold air. I picked up a phone and called a service company who fixed same AC but different issue for me about 3-4 months ago to check it out. The owner then called back telling me that since the condenser coil was leaking and it seems unfixable therefore he recommend to replace a brand new Ac which would cost me between $4500 - $6000. I also went to Angie’s List made several price quote inquiry for comparison, and Larry is one of the picks to be contacted. When I was almost ready to hire someone to install a new AC, I got a call from Larry from Trost Heating & Cooling LLC. He asked me if he could go to the property and takes look at the issue first then let me know what he can do. Short after that Larry called me back saying he believe the coil leaking issue can be fixed instead of replacing the entire system, he also quote me very reasonable repairing price. I was so shocked and hardly to believe that someone I never knew and first time contact him all of sudden saved me thousands of dollars. Larry came back next day not only fixed the tube leaking issue, also performed a full maintenance on the system, the AC has since been up ruing with no issues. While living in New Jersey and having an investment property located in Florida, it’s impossible to be presence when this kind of issues happening. Thus, the decision-making judgment relies so heavily on the service company in which not only they can provide high quality of service, most crucially they have professionalism and honesty work ethics. To my case described above Larry could scam me so easily and make much more money should he is like the first service company guy I called. Larry, again greatly appreciate the great service and most importantly to your honest and professionalism.

My A/C went out on Saturday evening... which is very annoying timing to get somebody to come fix it the next Sunday. Larry to the rescue. Called him at 9am on Sunday. He picked up the phone and arranged to come by at noon. He came at the time he said and discovered it was a reasonably simple fix and got it taken care of quickly for a very reasonable price, especially considering the Sunday morning call. He was helpful, honest and will be our go-to hvac guy in the future. I always go with smaller contractors who do NOT subcontract if I can. Larry was just one more confirmation that this is the way to go. He's professional, prompt and I'm happy he came by to help out.
