Tru Care Painters

We couldn't be happier with the interior and exterior work by Rich and the TruCare Painters team! We hadn't worked with TruCare before, and contacted them after reading many positive reviews online. We started with a phone call then an appropriately socially-distanced onsite visit due to COVID. I work in tech, and was particularly impressed with the detailed proposals Rich was able to generate and email to me while onsite. Pricing was consistent with what we expected, and we were able to schedule the work pretty quickly after accepting the proposals. We have a traditional New England saltbox house. The exterior project included cleaning and staining the cedar shake siding, and painting the foundation, gutters, and trim. The interior project included painting walls, ceiling, and trim throughout much of the house, including a 20' living room ceiling with exposed beams. We appreciated the advice with regard to color selection, and assistance obtaining samples and testing them in various areas and lighting conditions to ensure they were right. The crew was professional and polite, fun to have around, and always went the extra mile to answer any questions or address issues we were concerned about. It was a great experience overall. Highly recommended!

First we made it as easy for the painters as possible by removing all covers from electrical outlets, all ceiling fixtures, including fans , venetian blinds on windows and a sliding door including the hardware. We did not remove the door knobs on a couple of doors that were to be painted, but asked if they would loosen the knobs so that a little paint could be put under the plate. In addition, asked that the screw holds for the header of the vertical blind not be filled in as we planned to use them as a guide for raising the blinds when we put them back. We even penciled around the holes as a reminder not to fill them in. When we found that they had been filled in and painted over, we were upset about it. I also found that a repair of a dent in a window sill had been filled with wood putty and painted over with out having been sanded smooth. This too was pointed out to the foreman- Donald. There was a crew of 3 who were diligent workers but not skilled painters. At the end Donald signed off on the job and I thought it was OK until several days later when we were sitting in the room and the sun shined on 1 wall and we could see that the paint job was very splotchy. I called Rich and he came out with someone and looked the rooms over and in the one large room he immediately pointed out spots missed in the ceiling and a poor paint job on another wall. This was in March and the state was beginning to shut down or reduce the work some non essential businesses could do. However Rich said he would come back to redo the painting. Not hearing from him I contacted him a few weeks later and it was then that he began to have excuses as to why he couldn't come back, that he didn't like the way my partner had disrespected him by being upset with their filling the screw holes in the wall that we had asked them not to etc. Actually I believe it was Donald who was offended because he didn't like being criticized. As it was Rich sent me a check for $ 250.00 , I guess as a sop to his conscience because he had promised a "pristine job". It is rather interesting in that Paint Life was on the letterhead of the quote that I was given and that was the name in Angie's List. Later as I did a little on line research I found another paint company by the name of True Care Painters , but with same phone number as Paint Life and I was told it was the new name of the company. Another interesting thing is that I wrote to Rich after cashing the check which had his home address on it to explain why I was accepting it rather then taking him to small claims court and the letter just came back as being undeliverable with no forwarding address. As for Donald Bing I don't know if he is an employee or a part owner of the company I would like to think that Rich Bardy was sincere in thinking his crew could deliver a pristine paint job, but when he saw it wasn't a pristine job he really wanted to correct it but someone made him change his mind and I suspect it was Mr. Bing who probably was also not pleased that Rich had found the job Donald had signed off on needed to be redone in places So , no I would not recommend his company what ever its legal name is Paint Life or True Care Painters.

We are thrilled with our new interiors! Paint Life Inc. had their work cut out for them with the bright and dark colors that we needed to paint over in our new house. Our interiors are now stunning! The team at Paint Life Inc. was professional, prompt, fast, and clear about every step of the process. Rich and Donald took the time to advise us on the best colors for each room and we are extremely happy with the service. We were especially pleased that they were able to start painting right away. This allowed us to start moving our furniture into the house and set it up quickly, rather than wait for an opening in their schedule, as we would have had to do had we gone with another service. We would definitely recommend Paint Life Inc. for any painting project you need!

Our experience working with Paint Life was above and beyond our expectations. From the initial meeting, we knew we were dealing with professionals who really cared and wanted to be fair. The pricing was transparent through the use of the client portal and we did not feel like there was anything being hidden from us. Rich and Don helped us choose the right product and were there every step of the way to make sure we were 100% satisfied. Seeing the team at work was very impressive. Our entire house was covered and properly cared for while they worked, everyone was very nice and polite. They even went the extra mile and returned after the job was completed to walk through and inspect and touch up where needed. Our home looks beautiful. Thank you Paint Life. We will refer you to our friends and will have you back in the spring to help with the next phase of our remodel.

Clean prep and job, would recommend or utilize again.

We recently hired Paint Life to paint our entry way, kitchen and family room, which has about 18-foot-high ceilings. Right off the bat, I was impressed with Paint Life. From their response time on a request from an estimate and the extremely detailed proposal to the follow-up calls after the work was completed to see if everything went as expected. Rich is extremely professional in everything he does, and you can tell he cares about his clients with the personal touch he adds in conversations and suggestions. From start to finish, the project went smoothly. The project manager, Johnny, was professional, courteous, very friendly but above all, extremely talented. Some of our walls were in extremely rough shape with nail pops and the previous owner doing sheetrock repair on their own so they needed a lot of work. After the job, there are very few spots that we even notice anymore as the walls now look phenomenal, even with the Satin finish which tends to show more imperfections. The attention to detail and willingness to take feedback on spots we’d liked touched up was refreshing. It truly felt like we were a part of the project from start to finish. Johnny took the time to explain what was going to be done at the end of each day and discussed what would be getting done the next day. They maintained a rather clean and tidy work area as well. Even after the job was done, Rich called to ensure everything was in order and scheduled a time to come out and fix a few minor touch-up spots we noticed after the work was done. Rich is also always trying to improve the business and accepts constructive criticism from “very particular” clients like myself. I would not hesitate one second in hiring Paint Life for my next interior paint project or to recommend them to my friends and family. Can’t thank Rich and the team enough.

Great. Would definitely hire again

This a professional well run operation from start to finish. Rich and Don are knowledgeable, experienced, and fantastic people to work with who care about the appearance of your home and your satisfaction with the job that they provide. My wife and I are picky people with high expectations and I am a perfectionist. Despite that, they were still able to satisfy us to where I’d hire them again. You won’t be disappointed, worth every penny. Hire them to be worry free that your house will be painted right, the way it should be for everyone.

Turned out beautifully! This was a large job with a vaulted ceiling. The workers were punctual and pleasant. The painting was done quickly. The supervisor regularly checked in with me. I will use Paint Life again. I highly recommend.

I had a great experience with Paint Life Inc. The company did an outstanding job from start to finish. Notably, the cleaning and all prep work was very thorough and the painting team was very experienced and skilled. The manager was present everyday to oversee the work and was very accommodating with my concerns with color selection and problem sections of my wood-paneled house. They are a friendly and competent service. I am very satisfied with the job well done. I highly recommend this company.

Rich and Don were very responsive via text and email as well as site visits. Jonathan who did the work was quite passionate about getting everything right. He worked hard and over the weekend as weather was an issue. The deck looks great!

We recently purchased a home built in the 1950's that while well taken care of by the owners who lived there 60+ years was now in need of freshening up/brightening/updating. Rich and Donald were extremely knowledgeable in their estimate for the work required (painting and beyond normal scope of painters), timely in the estimate and their timeframe determination and professional in the presentation of their services. Marlow and Terry who were the two main "workers" (along with the team of Rich and Donald) were amazing in their expertise and the detail oriented work with a few challenges throughout the job. They remained professional at all times while adding the perfect touch of kindness, caring and personal approach with many laughs at times shared with us and the many other "characters" who appeared to give other work estimates, make deliveries and visit to see work in progress. Everything went well. Rich and Don were good to work with in the pre & post-painting phases. Cesar and team were good to work with in the painting phase. We also had 7 intercoms removed from the walls and with the repair work the team did, you would never know there was anything in the wall. The walls were perfect. They also offered up an alternative for one of the holes left by the intercom, since that one was in a paneled room. They made a nice inset shelf and trimmed it - looks like it was meant to be there. Another room was wallpaper border which they removed and painted. Again, looks as good as new. It was important to the teams to make sure that as the customer I was happy with the work. They were neat and made sure they cleaned up everything before considering the job complete. I would recommend and have recommended Paint Life to others.

A night and day difference. I received a few quotes from other companies in the area and they were no where near as punctual or professional as Rich and his crew. From day one, getting the quote, to day three, a finished product, these guys are top notch. I’ve had multiple neighbors I’ve never met before stop by and tell me how nice the house looks. I highly recommend them for your painting needs.
