TruGreen Lawn Care - 5619

We used them for a few years to service the lawn. The first year everything was fine. No weeds in the yard and they aerated and over seeded in mid September. The second year they came in August and aerated and overseeded. August is too early for that, and they gave no notice that they were doing it. I didn't have the grass cut, and of course when I cut the grass the dirt plugs got chewed up and sprayed all over the place, as well as the grass seed that was sitting on top of hard, dry August ground. This year they called on 9/18 and left a voice mail to tell us they would be out on 9/21 to aerate and overseed. Called back immediately and rescheduled for the following week because A) we had just gotten back from vacation and the grass needed to be cut, and B) we were having an outdoor party on 9/22 and we didn't want dirt plugs all over the place and having people track them into the house. We also asked them NOT to overseed, as we were going to use a different seed than they use. Got home from work on 9/20 (not 9/21 like they originally said) and the yard had been aerated and overseeded. Called customer service and was basically told "Sorry. Sometimes mistakes happen". Well, they won't happen a second time, as we've canceled our service with TruGreen.

They were just here this morning. We have a contract. Overall, their prices are very, very high compared to other services. They're here when they say they're going to be here. They can respond better to concerns I express to them, charge less than they do and not hound you with sales calls all the time.

They are good. The price is right. I call and they come right out.

They leave a document on what they did when they come.

It?s fine. On punctuality I don't know how to respond to that. They just come when they come, they don?t give me a time, just a day. On professionalism, I don't know how to answer these questions. My contact with them is minimal. They call me on the phone. They say they're gonna come out the next day. I don?t talk to them. They send me a bill; I pay it. That?s all, that?s all I do. If that?s professional, I don?t know.

They do almost all of our lawn care, and they do a fantastic job, and we have no complaints at all. They're here every couple of weeks for different things. They spray our shrubs, they do our fertilizer and grub control, and stuff like that. They do a nice job. The thing that stands out is that they call ahead so you know that they're coming, and if you're not home they leave paperwork, or if you are home they will explain what they're doing. They're pretty thorough. I think they're pretty good, the lawn looks beautiful. They charge by services, so like the mosquito cost, for the whole season, they'll be out 4 or 5 times a week to spray around the yard at like $300, because we have an ongoing package with them. So they'll do all of our lawn, and aeration, you know, basically anything but cutting and trimming, and all of our plants for pest control for on the ornamental plants we have. We probably spend about $1200 a year on everything. I don't want to touch any of that stuff and the equipment to put it down, it would probably cost just as much. There's not a day that they said they were coming and didn't show up, and they tell you when they call and leave you a message that they'll be out tomorrow weather permitting. If the weather is not permitting, they are out the next allowable day.

They started sprayed the bushes even though we did not want that service. So he left and the company has been calling us consistently and I have explained many times for them not to call again. I may consider them in the future.

They do fine, but they do show up a lot. They kill all of the weeds in my yard. The grass looks good.

It's not a so good experience so far. I have not seen any ditches in my lawn at all and I think this year, I had the waterfall guard system installed and they came and did the irrigation. I had a sprinkler system and they did irrigation on top of it and two of my sprinklers had gone bad after that. I had to go and complain about it. It took some time but they now promised me that next year, they would fix it. Price is expensive. No quality at all.

All in one deal, he takes care of everything. They aerate the lawn, put the plugs down, and reseed the lawn and all. I have had to call them back a few times. I have had weeds, so I tell them you sprayed for weeds, and they come back, and take care of the issue, but they should have taken care of them the first time around.

After a year, my lawn looks worse than when I started. Scott/Truegreen has 100% satisfaction guarantee ...if you can get someone to call you back. A rep came to view my lawn....claims it was "his" district but he had never serviced my property. Seemed more concern that the other company hadn't turned the account over to him. Anyway, asked for him to come when I was home....claimed he rang bell?? Left note stating my lawn wasn't " burnt" as my lawn service co told me. I had cold weather grasses that were a diff color. I didn't have the cold weather grasses all the other 7 years I lived here?? I took pictures before, but can't get a manager to call me back to show them. If I cancel my service( technically up) then the customer service rep states no one will call or come out???? Seems the merger btwn Scotts and Truegreen makes everyone blame the other company. Out $250 bucks. Lesson learned though. Won't recommend them. Def won't renew my contract

I had called them two weeks ago about the weeds that have continued to pop in our yard that the promised to have that taken care of. I called again a week later and spoke to a representative in regards to the removal of the weeds and she promised that they would take care of it and that someone would be out there on Thursday. The representative called me on Monday and said they would send someone out on Wednesday. I asked her to not send anyone out, and to cancel the severe immediately. Someone from TruGreen came to my home on Wednesday anyways and performed the services I didn't want. I called on Thursday during normal business hours from my home phone, and I kept receiving a voice message stating to call during normal business hours. I called three different time from my home phone. I then decided to try my cell phone and got right through to a representative Antwan. Once I gave Antwan my name, he immediately hung up on me, and then my cellphone was also blocked. I have heard nothing from the company whatsoever.

Their pricing is comparative for what I’ve seen.

My lawn looks worst after over a year of treatment than before. I hired Scott to treat my lawn for bad weed and some dead spots. When I originally called them their sale pitch was that they would do anything to get my lawn looking perfect. I asked them from they reseed the dead spot (about 1x1ft) they said definitely. That never happened. I got their lawn treatment service for the whole year (6 applications) the first 2 was OK not great. I called them about the weed not dying they said it will take some time. During that year they kept calling me about extra services I need to purchase ( grub control, insect treatment, soil ph treatment) I got all. I even hired them to aerate and reseed the whole lawn. But they wanted to do it in mid summer ( against all recommendations) and I told them I need it in fall. That year passed with very little improvement in my lawn. The year after I continued with the same package. After 3 applications o was seeing new types of weed growing. I never had lemongrass in my lawn before I got their service now my lawn is filled with it. Yellow flowers and some sort of a vine growing everywhere. I called and I ended their service. They did not even offer to make it right. Waste of time, effort and money
