We used turf masters for many years and loved them and the job they did on the lawn. Unfortunately I found out like many they were bought out by Tru-green. A quick review of Tru-green tells you all you need to know about them. I prefer to deal with local businesses and try-green is a national operation with very poor reviews. Sadly turf masters is no more. I ended canceling tru-green and signed up with a local service out of Manchester for next spring, they are bit more expensive but I refuse to do business with true-green. RIP turf masters you'll be missed.

I signed a contract with TurfMasters and they have been bought out by Tru Green. I now have weeds in the lawn and it is not the same service and product that I received in the past. I am really dismayed that this went on in the middle of the season. I like to be here when I get my lawn treated. I like speaking with someone at the actual company instead of talking to a call center rep. I like continuity! I definitely will not use them again in the future.

My husband and I agrreee to try trurf masters after seeing their workers in our neighborhood. We specifically needed a grub treatment and they sold us on a fall fertilizer. We had recently seeded and aerated our grass and we had a cookout coming up so we agreed to contact them when we were ready for the treatment (hopefully the following week). They came THE NEXT DAY (unexpectedly) while we were out, dropped the treatment on the grass but simply went around our 2 hoses/sprinklers that were out, kids bikes, wheel barrel, and all our kids toys including a kiddie pool that was out in the yard. They didn't move anything nor did they tell us they were coming so that we could move the stuff. We hadn't moved a thing because they weren't due until we called them---WHICH WE HADN'T!!! Not to mention we were supposed to be having a cookout right after and now had fresh chemicals on the yard and a sign placed by them stating to stay off the grass d/t chemical application. <br>When we contacted the office, they basically said 'too bad' and would not come and re-apply the treatment to the grass that had been covered in yard toys and equipment. They knew they messed up because a worker mentioned their mistake to my neighbor when they came back to our neighborhood. The final word I had with the office was that we would simply go our separate ways. <br>Now here it is over a year later and I get a letter from a collections agency saying they are suing me for $188.77. For WHAT???? <br>They are crooks that do a crappy job. The people in my neighborhood that use them DO NOT have grass that is any nicer than the people that do not use them. <br> <br>

"In response to this review, here are the facts: We have not serviced this account since 2013. Service was agreed to by the client on 9/17/13. Mrs. agreed to an Early Fall Fertilizer and a Grub Control. As promised, this application was applied on 10/10/13 NOT the next day. With that being said, the client had plenty of time to contact TurfMasters to let us know they would be having a cookout. Further, our Service Technician left a message at the number we were provided with letting Mrs. know we would be applying the application on 10/10. As far as the hoses, sprinklers, bikes, wheel barrel, and kids toys, our Service Technicians always pick up as much as they can as best as they can. In addition, if items were not picked up and in fact product was applied over them, why didn't Mrs. give us a call right away? Clearly that was not the case. Rather, she decided to not pay the invoice. Lastly, it is clear Mrs. is now writing a negative review and disputing the balance because her account was sent to collections for non-payment."

We pay $85 per service. It's keeping our lawn green, so that's what I like. I kind of wish I knew what their schedule was for when they come. They do a lot of unsolicited sales calls for additional services. That's what I don't like. The overzealous sales calls are kind of what I don't like.

"Thank you for your feedback! As I'm sure you are aware, having a good lawn is a process that takes time. We have your initial lawn rating as a 2 on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being poor, 10 being excellent). With that being said, your lawn is in difficult shape that will take time to develop. We have recommended that your lawn get seeded this fall to augment the process. Additionally, you started service with us at the end of May missing the first application that contains a broad spectrum weed control and the pre-emergent crabgrass control. A level a realistic expectations that we can deliver given the circumstances must be considered. In order for the lawn to develop it will take staying on our program, following our recommendations, (mowing, watering & seeding), and most importantly patience. Regarding responsiveness, we do in fact offer free service calls in between applications. You called for a service call on June 8th and we responded extremely timely performing the service call the following day on June 9th. I hope this information is helpful and you will remain a client. <p>From the moment my husband placed his first call we were impressed by the prompt response. We have tried other lawn services in the past and had horrible experiences with them either not doing what they said, lawn looking terrible, can't get them on the phone, etc.</p> <p>So far we are very happy with Turf Masters, we can already see an improvement in our lawn and we have only had (2) applications. The gentleman we spoke with on the phone from the very beginning was extremely professional, very thorough and very knowledgeable and we felt very confident in hiring them to perform lawn services. He also mentioned that at any time if we had a problem or was dissatisfied we could call and they would come back right away. We haven't had to call.</p> <br />
