Gave Paul a difficult shed to build, and he stuck with it and got it done!

Paul helped us design and build a pergola on the side of our house and it is awesome. He is a perfectionist and knows his craft. He could build anything. I should recommend him to anyone who needs a pergola. I am sure he can do many different styles and work with you to decide the best type to fit your area. We could not be happier with what he did! Paul is also very reasonable with the price and we appreciated that. Especially with all the higher prices out there.

Paul is a highly skilled craftsman with a wealth of home construction experience. He is professional, thorough and attentive to the preferences of the homeowner. I have hired him three times now: once to reconnect the fan on a gas fireplace, once to order, install and program a complicated floor thermostat, and once to repair a leaking window and to refresh the weathered front exterior of the house. This required new shingles, new fascia, new trim boards, and new paint, including application to three decorative gables and a front door with sidelights and transom. I am pleased with the outcomes on all of these projects. I would hire Paul again to solve any future problems this aging property presents.

Not as expected. First visit stove pipe installed wrong seal purchased he had to go get another. The next day did a burn off and smoke came out if the pipe and the stove. Second visit he brought 3 pieces to replace the one soild piece inside. First off when he removed the pipe there was wood in the stove pipe. When he cut the whole in the roof a large chunk had fallen into the stove. He hadn't noticed. We tried another burn off and it was worse. Went back to the sold pipe. I asked if he had put the stove back together right and he swore that he had. He left with a plan for him to return the next day adding more footage to the outside pipe. His thought was it wasn't drawing do to the height. After leaving he texted asking me to check that the stove was properly out back together. He returned for the 3rd visit while I was at work. And added 4ft to the outer roof. I now have 8ft. The heights of any of my neighbors. I check the stove that night and indeed was not put together right. Once I fixed it the stove draws properly now. I don't believe the added 4ft was needed. Quote was $1650 ended up being $2050. Mind you he didn't have a helper. I personally helped him move the stove install pipe and help install the roof struts. Also didn't show up on the appointment day recieved a text about him needing to go to Redmond to get tools. Then later that day car troubles. So a 3 to 4 hour project ended up takings days. Long story short I feel like I paid for his errors and my own labor.

I hired Paul Turnbull (Turnbull Enterprises) in March 2024 to do 2 small bathroom remodels. The job was still not completed by May 2024. Paul was unreliable, rude, argumentative, arrogant, and would not take responsibility for his mistakes. His work was sloppy and he damaged some of my brand new bathroom materials, which he took no responsibility for. I had to fire him before he finished the job and hire someone else to finish the job. DO NOT hire Paul Turnbull. I would not want anyone else to go through the horrible experience that I had. #ccb 171389

This gentleman was prompt, professional, experienced, efficient, highly skilled and economical. I am able to use and adjust the blower in my gas fireplace for the first time. Plus the unit now looks brand new. I hope he will return to address thermostat issues in my kitchen and bathroom floor heating. Would certainly recommend him to any homeowner.

It took longer than expected it but it turned out well.

Paul is the best handyman in Bend, OR. He installed a TV wall mount in my studio apartment and performed it perfectly. Highly recommend and plan on rehiring again for my next home improvement

He examined the window, outside and inside and figured out a solution.

We did almost the entire house through Paul. Some of his workmanship - especially the fine details like small paint splatter, garage floor epoxy coat application, and cabinet painting - was 3 stars at first. Other work he did - installing new plumbing fixtures, bathtub sliding doors, sheet metal exhaust for kitchen - were 5 stars. Paul consistently worked to get it right and make me happy. He was always responsive and available. His attitude is 5 starts. He was open about his costs. Some things dragged on but most remodel contractors suffer from this ailment. Because of the scarcity of tradesmen in Bend/Central Oregon, I recommend learning the history about his subcontractors before they start work on your house. Most were good but a couple did not have the right experience.
