We had two chairs that were custom built circa 1940 by my wife's grandfather. We wanted to keep the chairs, but upgrade them a bit for a retro/modern feel. The original style was vinyl upholstery with a border of tacks all around the edges. With the help of Gina, we selected a micro fiber fabric that would tolerate our cats and compliment the existing furniture in our living room. The chairs were completed and exceeded our expectations for quality of workmanship and the look we were going for. I would highly recommend Twin Cities Upholstery for friendly service a top notch job.

I had Twin Cities Upholstery reupholster a rocker that I inherited this fall. They did an amazing job! I was happy with the service, price, selection of fabrics, quality of the work, etc. I even had some scheduling difficulties with pick-up and she got there early just for me. I have some other similar work that i need done, and I plan to use them again!

The work took longer (28 days) than the estimated time (15 days) and one piece was not done as originally ordered. They were willing to work with me and come to a mutual satisfactory solution. The craftsmanship of the work is excellent and the cushions look beautiful. This is a nice family-run business and I was treated pleasantly and respectfully by all I encountered.

Great experience and I'm thrilled with the final product. ! I communicated via email with Gina first to get some initial information and to learn about the process/timeline. Gina was very responsive to every communication. I dropped the chairs off and picked them up myself to save a little money; the team at the shop unloaded and loaded the chairs for me once I arrived. Gina provided a thorough estimate and clearly explained what she thought needed to be done - new foam; new board on at least one broken chair base; glue some parts that were wobbly. I also carefully reviewed the website for Twin Cities Upholstery before dropping off my chairs. They have lots of fabrics to choose from in the shop and even more online via the fabric companies they use; and some fabric company partners will send free samples of fabric. This was REALLY helpful for me and I actually selected one of the fabrics from the samples I ordered. I recommend either reviewing fabric samples online or spending time in the shop looking at fabric before dropping off item to be upholstered. There is just so much to choose from. The chairs were completed well within the timeframe promised. I would use this company again in the future!

The furniture looks great! Workmanship was outstanding and the price was fair for services performed.

A smooth process overall. I appreciated the clear communication with Gina about timing, costs, etc. They were familiar with the style and construction of my teak chairs and did a nice job refreshing them with new padding and fabric.

The finished product is beautiful. I had already stripped the old material and cushions, so they really started from scratch with pictures as their guide. There were a few delays with the project, most beyond their control. The project took a bit longer than anticipated, but quality work does take time. And they did a wonderful job on the two pieces.

We needed to have our six dining room chairs re-apolstered. They came out and showed us samples of material and we found one that was almost identical to what was on the chairs. They also noted that the foam was worn out and perhaps some minor structural repair might be necessary once they got involved on the job. We were pleased with quoted cost, and they loaded the chairs into their van. We told them we were hoping to get them back in late October ( ~ 6 weeks") for an important dinner party we had planned. They called to say they were done and could return them within our specified time period. They brought them to our house in their van, CAREFULLY carried them in and placed them around the dining room table. The job looked great, and very nicely done. Here is where the problem started. We did not use them until a few days later when we had our dinner party. One of our guests leaned back slightly ( chair still had all four legs firmly planted on the floor ) and his shirt got caught and pinched in the back of the chair )! Upon closer examination, the top crown of the chair was cracked on both sides of the top of the chair. I called Lee's and talked to Lee (owner) and told her the story. I just wanted the chair repaired at my cost, I wasn't blaming anyone because I didn't notice the cracks when they were CAREFULLY brought back and set in place around the table. Lee said she would talk to their repair person and call me back. I had to call again three more times over 6 months with the same response from Lee. FUNNY? I finally gave up and took them to Ackerman's where the chair was repaired for $180. The repairman said that the cracked back could only have been caused by sharply knocking it over onto its' back onto a hard surface ( workroom floor???) or dropped from a height onto its' back. Since our dinner party consisted of six diners over the age of 65, it wasn't a "wild throw the chairs around" affair. Very poor professional response from Lee's, especially when I agreed to pay. Never called us back!

The team at Twin Cities Upholstery was so helpful, friendly, and responsive. They have many samples to choose from, and helped narrow down my fabric choice offering very helpful tips. It was such a great help to have a professional's opinion while making me feel like I was working with a good friend. The process was clearly laid out before hand, and my chair was completed ahead of schedule with quality workmanship. Thank you so much for restoring my vintage chair, making it something to be proud of again.

Santos and family at Twin Cities Upholstery were great to work with. They listened to what we wanted and ensured that our items came out as we had hoped. We had two matching Kitchen Stools Upholstered. They were willing to work with fabric we provided, but had a lot of selections to choose from if we had needed to keep looking. We also had an old wooden rocker seat cushion rebuilt/upholstered as well. The kitchen stools far exceed our expectations with pattern matching between the stools from the seats, the back cushions as well as the covered arms. The removable cushion on the rocker was shaped to match the flowing curve on the front. Great people and great work!

The folks at Twin Cites Upholstery were friendly and the work was beautifully done, on time and on price. They had a broad selection of fabrics and natural and man-made leathers from which to choose. The finished product brought back great memories of my childhood and my grandfather.

I would highly recommend Twin Cities Upholstery. From start to finish, I found TC Upholstery great to work with. After shopping at many furniture stores and not finding the style or fabric I desired, I decided to stay with my Queen Anne style, and have everything (fourteen pieces) reupholstered. I found the TC Upholstery fabric selection to be outstanding. The staff, especially Gina and Carolyn, answered my questions promptly and to my satisfaction. Each piece's upholstery specifications were clearly spelled out in a very complete invoice. The project took five weeks from pick-up to delivery, which I thought was reasonable, considering the number of pieces I had reupholstered. The furniture is beautiful and beautifully constructed. There was much attention to detail in its construction. Did I save money by going with upholstered instead of brand new furniture? That's hard to say, because I never found what I wanted at furniture stores for comparison. However, I now have exactly the style and fabric of furniture I was hoping for. I am very satisfied and will enjoy my living room, dining room, and sun room for many years to come.

They are fabulous!

The chairs we dropped off were badly broken and worn out from teenager usage. The work done has them looking brand new again. We would recommend their work to anyone needing repair or recovering of your furniture.
