Hard to agree on appointment. Lot of confusion there. Bit scattered. Great guy. Did good work when he finally showed up. Knowledgable, thoughtful and reasonable. <br />

I bought the deal a few months ago because I have numerous home improvement projects that I wanted to get done.  I was in touch with Dan over the last few months but the long winter made it difficult to have anything done until recently.  I decided to have him work on replacing some damaged siding on my house.  He came by and gave me an idea of how much it would cost and what I would need.  He asked if I could get the stock that way he could get to work and get as much done with time of the deal that I purchased.  I thought that was a good idea to save a little money by picking up the materials myself.  He quoted me a price of $200 on top of the deal I had purchased to replace a section of the siding.  I picked up the siding, some nails, and some caulk.  He came by with a helper and started work last week (3/17).  In total he worked 2 days with a helper and one other day the helper came and worked by himself.  He also found some rot in the window sill and water basin so replaced those as well.  For the three days of work, replacing the siding, sill and basin he ended up charging me $500 on top of the deal purchased (which was for 6 hours worth of labor, or 3 hours 2 guys).  Although it was more than I expected, I think it was reasonable for the amount of work that was done.  Dan was very easy to work with and seems to be very fair and honest.  I would recommend his services and would definitely use him again. <br />

<p>I bought the Angie's list deal and planned to use it sometime in the spring.  I got a call from the company's owner, Dan Twiss,</p> <p>inquiring when I'd like to make arrangements to perform the service.  This is very  unusual for any other purchase of deals on Angie's list.  The merchant usually waits for me to call them.  In addition to calling the first time,  he made a few follow-up calls to ask questions about the details of my requested services</p> <p>Dan and his partner arrived on time and stayed through the completion of my list.</p> <p>They were both very efficient and talented.  I love the look of my closet.</p> <p>They were extremely polite and made a point of including me in the details of all work they were performing.</p> <p>I  already made plans for them to come back next week for other jobs/tasks needed for my home.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />

The service did not turn out as good as it should have. I don't think I would call them back. Daniel was good, but the helper he came with was not good. I don't think I would let them do anything for me.The guy was nice and everything, and if  you are hiring him, stick to carpentry, and small jobs. He showed up on time, and called me on time. Daniel was professional.

Well the traps are set and Dan Twiss will be back soon to remove the traps. I will report how it all goes when I come back to Angie's List to submit my review how it all goes but based on how Dan Twiss works, I expect to be submitting a happy ending with the squirrels safely relocated. In a nutshell Mr Twiss had to be the sheriff and serve eviction notice to the squirrels that took up residence in my attic. Stay tuned.

I was quite pleased with the service and very grateful that the problem was solved so rapidly. It was freezing cold that night and Dan Twiss never complained about the cold. He really helped me out in an emergency situation.

The work was excellent. They installed some crown molding and boxed in a HVAC vent. I actually called them again to do some more work. The first time was just one handyman and the second time, two came out. They came when they said they would and the work was great.

This was a complete nightmare from start to finish! They were very hard to get a hold of. When I finally got in touch with them they were more than 2 hours late! Then they took 5 hours to do a job that shouldn't have taken 3. They never got around to installing the door they agreed to do either. I bought an outlet and wire opening kit for behind the tv. It turned out that it was very difficult to hide the item I bought behind the tv since our mount was very large. So instead of telling me this (I explicitly said I didn't want the outlet showing...obviously!) they hung it up anyway with the outlet complertely visible. The only fix we could do was lower the tv to the farthest setting on the mount and now we can se the top of the mount and will have to cut it. I trust in my contractors to tell me if something I bought is not the best for the job. This would have been a simple fix. Now we have to hack away at our brand new tv mount and we have screws protruding from the wall that are luckily behind the TV and not visible. One of the guy (I believe his name is Dan) was very rude. Lots of mumbling under his breath about Angies list and always getting screwed etc. etc. Very unprofessional. They obviously did not know what they were doing even though they advertise this as one of the handyman services they provide! I was then asked to pay for their extra time even though it took so long and completely screwed up my day (the day before our holiday party no less!) all because of their incompetence. All the while he is complaining to me that these deals through Angies list are horrible for him, he makes no money, they take a fee...blah blah. Not the consumers problem!! <br />

It went very well.  I actually have contracted with them to do another job that should be completed this week. <br />

What I did not appreciate was having to call him several times to remind him, re-book because he had 'issues', etc.  nice guy but I would not use again.

Dan did a great job.  He was flexible with the work, charged an honest price and did a professional job. <br />

It went well.

They had to install the double door. It had to be level and balanced to make a correct fit. <br />

Initially Dan returned my call promptly and set a time. He then called me 15 minutes before he was due to delay his arrival 1 hr. He arrived 1 hr and 15 minutes after that call. He did a nice job in the designated time. We agreed on some additional work for a future date and his price was reasonable. We agreed on a date and time. Unfortunately, he was a no show and no call. Approximately 20 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, I left him a voicemail. He returned my call 1 1/2 hrs after the scheduled time. Although he was apologetic, he said he was "overwhelmed" w/ work, had worked until 10pm the night before, didn't get out of bed until the time he was due to arrive at my home and felt ill. I will not be using his services again. <br />

Dan & Paul had previously done repairs around the house and was impressed by his responsiveness and quality of work. Subsequently, asked them to help prevent rain water getting into the basement. They stopped by and gave me an estimate. As work progressed, both realized they needed to address other problem spots - window, ground incline, power line inlets etc to prevent all water seepage. They explained to me the details and upon approval did a thorough job. Dan and Paul stood by their work and offered to come in and fix any future seepage for free. We have had a few heavy rains since and no problems thus far. Will be happy to call on them again for other jobs around the house.

Daniel and Paul were great!! They did exactly what I asked for and made recommendations to make it look better. Daniel even offered to cut the concrete down so it looks even better.

Initially, contacted Dan for building repair work - stem rot and repair a small section on the exterior of the house. Dan showed up on time, gave an estimate and actually was a few dollars below the estimate. Did a thorough job. Dan also helped with repair work on the driveway, and main door of the home. Each time finishing the work on time and below/on budget. <br /> Subsequently, Dan also helped with bathroom remodeling, painting and kitchen repairs. Thorugh impressed by his professionalism, integrity and responsiveness. Won't hesitate to engage him in future projects big or small.

I called Daniel Twiss because he had come highly recommended by a friend who kept raving to me about the quality and integrity of his work. I was desperate and called him. He came the same day. We went to Home Depot together and he helped me pick out the right hot water heater for my house. He was responsible, respectful and even though it took longer than he thought to do the job he stuck to his quote and charged me what he said he was going to charge me.    I was very pleased with the work. <em> </em>As a single woman who owns a multi family home I have needed several repairs on my home  and feel I have been taken advantage of and even ripped off by repair and remodeling service men in the past. I am grateful that I found Daniel Twiss I think God sent me and angel. It is with great confidence that I highly recommend Daniel Twiss services.
