I can easily recommend Ultimate. They just did a terrific job for me! I came home from a trip late yesterday....noticed a lot of insect activity....and then one of my dogs got nailed by what I thought was a wasp. Turns out it was a yellowjacket...coming from a nest that wasn't there 5 days ago! I called Ultimate at 8 this morning...and they were super responsive and fit me into their schedule this morning. Byrd and Richard were here....suited up and removed it. Very nice; professional; extremely responsive both in making the appointment and doing exactly what I needed. I used Ultimate last year on a nest that was up under the siding of my house and was impressed then too. Great experience w/ them.

they come one time, and left traps. We paid for weekly checks and were expecting them to fill crawl spaces into home. They returned one time after 4 weeks, and that was after numerous calls. In two months and a few hundred dollars, they caught one rat. they simply used rat traps as I had done. I caught more on my own without their help.

The owner Grant was nice and explained what he would do. Initially they were to follow up every few days. Their employee came once and set traps. He never returned for a month. A new employee contacted us, Blake. He said he'd been in the business 20 years and he would take care of us. Once again a month passed and there was no action on they part and no contact. When they billed us for the monthly payment we explained that they had not followed through on what they offered and we paid a hefty payment up front. The rats are back. It was a waste of a couple (or more) hundred dollars. We will go back to setting our own traps. We caught more than the one they caught

Ryan and Byrd were awesome! I called early today as my regular person who does routine pest control couldn't access the dead opossum due to duct work that was in the way. They provided service within two hours of my call and were able to successfully remove the animal! I'll definitely call them again if needed and will be using them for routine service just as soon as my contract ends with the other company. THANK YOU!!!

Ultimate Pest Control? Try ultimate rip off artists. After several years of good service, Blake the guy who had been handling this area turned it over to a new guy. Blake had always been great. The new guy, not so much. When Blake first came out here years ago, he set us up on an every other month, only in hot weather, schedule. He did this because all we need is wasp control, and that's the only time they can treat for wasps. Then the new guy starts. <br> <br>1)the new guy showed up at our door unannounced, in Oct, and was rude when we told him we did not need service in the cold weather. <br> <br>2)he called here in Feb and again his attitude was that we were doing something wrong by not having him come out for a service call in the cold weather (I had snow on the ground the day he called). It seemed as if he wanted to come up and make some money and he expected everyone up in this area to accommodate him and agree to a service call because he was going to be up here anyway. <br> <br>3)when I called him in April to come out, he was again rude and insulting and informed us that since we had refused service in the past they would have to charge us at the one-time rate for service calls (over $250 per call) or I could pay a "reinstatement fee of $100 some odd, for the first call and $70/month thereafter, as long as I did not interrupt service again (IE monthly fee all year long). <br> <br>His entire attitude was rude and he acted as if I was treating him badly by not buying new unwanted services, accommodating his schedule, and for wanting to stick to the schedule we had been using for several years. I was made to feel as if I was the bad guy for not just doing as I was told. Now maybe this works in some areas with some people, but it is NOT good business. Nor is trying to coerce customers into buying unwanted unnecessary services. Nor is changing the rules in the middle of the game. <br> <br>I called Blake to find out what was going on and the new guy called back immediately after I spoke to Blake, but his attitude was not much better, and the attempts to extort added fees and costs, and more frequent service, was only slightly diminished. <br> <br>Yesterday he called back again, apparently in response to my having left a message for Blake, telling me that they would do me the favor of only charging me a $90 some odd "reinstatement" fee. He was unclear if they would still insist on a $70 monthly fee, or if they were going to charge me $70 per call after the "reinstatement" fee. He was also unclear as to whether they would charge me a "reinstatement" fee every year because I would not continue service through the cold weather, or if they would honor the schedule I had had with Blake after the first "reinstatement" fee. <br> <br>What I am asking for is exactly what we have been doing for years now, the same schedule of service (every other month only in warm weather, essentially March through Sept) at about the same fee (I have never had an issue when Blake tells me he needs to up the price because of inflation, that sort of thing is understandable and expected, that is not what I am talking about). The fact that my wanting to continue the existing service under the existing terms, is now seen and treated as bad behavior, and that it requires punitive "reinstatement" charges, is not only insulting, it is unprofessional. And to try and make it seems as if this unprofessional behavior is my fault for not having honored a new schedule that I knew nothing about, that I do not and have not ever wanted, needed or discussed with the company, a new schedule that is not about offering me better service but is instead designed to line the company's pockets at my expense, is adding insult to injury <br> <br>Frankly at this point I no longer trust Ultimate Pest Control, and I want nothing to do with this new guy. I do not like him nor do I trust him. I have serious concerns about his honesty and the quality of service I will get from him even if the company does agree to continue the service and fee schedule we have been using for the past several years. He has continually blamed the company, saying these decisions are out of his hands. Yet we never had any such issues with Blake. The sad part is I do not know if he can be believed and the company is the one pushing this, or if he is just trying to pump up his income and doing this on his own. Bottom line though is that it doesn't matter. I will not have him on my property, nor will I work with any other UPC employee other than Blake. I realize that Blake is not coming up here anymore, and I appreciate that his servicing us would be a hardship for him, so I fully understand his not wanting to come up here. Given that, I will look for another company to service our property, or I will start doing it myself.     <br> <br>Sad that they destroyed a business relationship that had been ongoing for years. Sad that they treat customers so poorly. Sad that a once decent business has become a scam factory. <br>

<p>Grant was prompt, friendly and professional. He did a good job.  My only problem was a bit of a communication issue on what the 30 day warranty would cover.  I did have to have him come back to do another nest that materialized near the old one.  He did that promptly.  After talking we resolved the warranty issue to my satisfaction.  I appreciated his willingness to talk and his customer service approach.  </p> <br />

Grant came out soon after my call to give me an estimate and got started on the job right away. He was always very prompt in returning my calls and checking the squirrels traps that he put on my roof. He trapped and transported the squirrel humanely and according to ODFW regulations. Once the squirrel was trapped, he immediately sealed up the openings in the eaves of the house. I haven't heard or seen any squirrels up there since. I won't know how well this works to keep the birds out until spring. <br />

It took two trips: the first was on a Thursday and should have been a free inspection, plus price of supplies and labor for repair of vent screen, since nothing was found (in spite of the strong odor). Grant put in a couple of odor absorbing bags, and repaired the vent at a reasonable fee of $25. Total charged this visit was $135. I should have made it clear that I assumed this would include a second visit by his worker to find and remove the animal. While I approve his use of eco-friendly chemicals, they have not proved to be 100% effective for getting rid of the odor in my house. On Monday I called him again about getting his guy to go in and do more since the odor by now was overwhelming inside the house. I called Grant twice to see when the other man could come out; he had trouble getting in touch with him, apparently, but late that afternoon he did show up and found and removed it, but the odor has not yet (August 1st) completely dissipated. I subsequently received an additional bill from Grant but negotiated with him for a reduction, which he allowed.

"I'm sorry this customer has not had a more favorable experience with Ultimate Pest Control. We have gone above and beyond trying to work with this customer to satisfy her complaints and each time we think we have addressed her complaints, she comes up with a whole new list. As a small business owner with what was a great reputation on Angie's list, I went out of my way to satisfy this customer so she would give us a favorable review on Angie's list. She received the check from the insurance company, yet she never paid us one dollar of the $1300.00 bill and now she wants Ultimate Pest Control to pay her $2000.00 so she can hire another company to do the work that we have already compleated. I have before and after pictures of the crawlspace clean-up we did under her home showing the work has been compleated as agreed. Please look at our other Angie's list reviews and you will see that this customers experience with Ultimate Pest Control is not typical."

"While we try to make every customer happy, some are tougher than others. I worked with this customer from start to finish on this Wildife project. I worked with her insurance company to get them to understand that it was wildlife damage, not rodent damage that had created the odor, so that it was covered by her homeowners insurance. I even reduced my price $300.00 to help with her deductable. When I did not receive payment for over 3 months, I sent her a statement. She called back and said she had spent the insurance money on other things and because she was on a fixed income she could not pay her bill. I set up reasonable monthly payments with no interest so she could pay the bill without having to sell her car. When I stopped by at Christmas to drop off a gift of a bottle of wine, I noticed the crawlspace cover was opened up. I asked if she had done that and she said no. Worried that wildlife had re-entered the structure, I set up traps at no charge and I came back to remove the traps and secure the crawlspace cover. I worked hard to take care of this customer and I find this review rather unfair."
