Underground Services First

I would highly recommend Underground Services First. They did a great job, and they found a couple of other plumbing issues in our house that weren't found initially, and fixed them for free. They were good at explaining what needed to be done and how they were going to do it in layman's terms. They were very thorough and made sure everything was functioning, not leaky, and clean before they left. It was easy to schedule an estimate and it was easy to get on their project calendar. Everyone was kind, responsive, and professional.

I contacted Underground via e-mail and got a call from the owner, Ms Holt. She was going to have the office contact me. JoAnn the office manager contacted me to see what dates would work for the assessment of the job. We were not charged for the assessment visit. I must say from the office to the Technician Bruce and his team, we were extremely happy! So helpful. Bruce arrived on schedule. He let me know he would flush the pipe and run a camera thru the pipes to diagnosis the problem, what the price would be. Great news, the pipe was clean, and whole. No tree roots. The problem was caused by the secondary pipe being jammed into the main pipe blocking it from functioning properly. So the secondary pipe was installed incorrectly, causing us a lot of damage. Bruce made a small hole in the black top where the two pipes were connected installed a ‘Y’ connector and flushed both pipes! It works. Thank you all.

It went fine. They were able to come out and fix the same day I called.

Very well. They got all the permits, contacted the city to mark all the utility lines and finished in 1 day. They came to the house to inspect our current line and provided and estimate that same afternoon. We were very pleased that the work was finished in 1 day and we did not have to remove any plants from the front yard. They repaired the sidewalk before they left and cleaned up the area.

It went very well. Eric and his crew were professional and did a good job. They also cleaned up afterwards and hauled old line segments away and put down grass seed and straw where they dug up the yard. They let me watch the screen as they sent the camera down the line during the inspection . They also did the digging by hand on a very hot and humid day . I am impressed by their efforts! I will recommend this company to family and friends and hire in the future if needed! They also came out a day earlier than I was expecting which worked out well for me .

Excellent service, competent, professional,friendly crew; on-time, did not disturb or break the lawn. Worked very closely with customer to reschedule job when the customer experienced an out of state death in their family, owner/manager worked v very closely with customer. Excellent provider. <br />

They went under my driveway and sidewalk without causing any damage. That saved me from having to pay someone to fix my driveway and my sidewalk They were great and I highly recommend them! <br /> <br />

I had Donna come out and scope the pipes and she let me know that i had a "belly" in my old terra cotta pipes. My house is 95 years old, and the pipes were original to the house. It was time to replace the sewage pipe, or face a back up of sewage into my home! No thanks! <br /> Joanne and Donna worked with my schedule to find a time to do the work that met my needs. Donna, the owner, and Joanne the office scheduler have a ton of experience and advice. Donna's company really wants to do a good job for you, and they were really stand up contractors. Donna's whole team was a real pleasure to work with.  <br /> The first day, we thought that we were going to be able to do a pipe bursting technique, but as it turned out, i was not a good candidate for this type of work due to the damage to the pipes. Instead, they ended up having to dig a trench from my house to the alley- which was quite the production! <br /> It was a huge mess, but Underground Services First's workmen were total pro's. They worked hard and diligently, and did their best to avoid any areas of landscaping that they could- in fact, they painstakingly avoided my garden, which i really appreciated.   Additionally, they had to remove the fence in the back, and remove 3 sections of concrete to get to the pipe (2 outside the home, and also inside). At the end of the project they got the work inspected (and i was given a copy of both inspections) they  backfilled and compacted the yard, reseed my yard and put hay on it, replaced my fence, re-poured the concrete sections, and install a clean out near the alley and a backwater preventer. My only complaints are that they left some of the materials in the yard from the dig- a fence post, and some lengths of concrete- which i am not strong enough to move, and some of my brick contained gardens were broken and dislodged- but it was very close to the active work cite where the fence met the cite, so i was pretty sure that they would be broken in the process already. All in all this project took about a week, and i was only without use of my toilet for half a day (what a relief!). <br /> While this experience was incredibly stressful- for both my pocket book and myself, Underground Services First did a great job minimizing the stress, and kept on working until the job was done. They kept me informed of their progress, explained the processes, and were respectful and polite in my home. I would absolutely recommend them to any person facing a sewage replacement. I'm looking forward to seeing grass in the back yard again! <br />

When I called Underground Services First, I explained that my water bill had jumped up $25 in one billing. The owner, Donna, asked me some questions and based on my responses, knew exactly what the problem was - Qest pipe. She explained to me the issues regarding Qest pipe and what they would do to remedy the leaking water (due to Qest pipes). The crew came to my house promptly and completed the job in a few hours. Everyone from the office staff, the crew and the owner were very professional and accommodating. I found everyone at Underground Services First to be extremely knowledgeable and skilled. They did an excellent job and my water bills are back to normal. Thank you Underground Services First! <br />

We were overall happy -- they were right on time and did good work.  The drain has held up fine since they came out to do the work.  There were no issues with scheduling and they were pretty professional.

From my first contact to completed project Donna, Jo Ann and the team were the epitome of professionalism.  They answered my emails, were proactive with phone calls and gave reliable info on my project.  The crew took time to introduce themselves and explain the project.  No wonder they receive the reviews they do. <br />

<p>The process started with the owner coming out to my home and surveying the lawn and the extent of the water leak. After a through examination of my crawl space and front lawn, She asked if it would be ok for her foreman to come out the next day so that the two of them can compare notes. He did that and I received an informative and detailed proposal of the work that would be needed to correct the water leak. The proposal had two options in it. I decided that the full replacement was more advantageous then a spot repair.</p> <p>The crew arrived on time and began work immediately. I asked them a few questions as the work continued but chose to stay out of their way as much as possible. The crew was professional and very understanding with my questions. The work was finished before the end of the day and all repairs to my driveway were also finished. The crew cleaned and hauled away all refuse and debris from the work.</p> <p>I am happy with the quality of the work and the price. I would recommend them to anyone needing a waterline replacement and wanting the no trench bore method.</p> <br />

They came out when they said they'd come out, they finished at schedule, they did everything they said they would do and they gave me 10% off for Angie's list. They did what they said they're gonna do and they did it on time, they're friendly and conscientious of my property, they answered all my questions big or small and they did all the work by hand.

their proposal set them apart. most quotes were simply written replace water main, theirs was very detailed. they explained what they would do, how they would do it, the time it would take and what i should expect upon completion. their price was the highest but they did it trenchless so there was very minimal yard disterbed. the hole at the meter was much smaller than i expected and they removed turf before digging and compacted after and placed the turf back. well worth the higher price. the people i had contact with were very professional and nice to deal with. <br />

I first spoke to this company on Sunday afternoon after being without water since early Saturday.  The lady whom I spoke to was very cooperative and did her best to assist me.  They were eager to assist me with my problem and worked to get people to my home on Sunday.  They were unable to get someone to respond on Sunday and after several phone calls to me they promised to have someone at my home at or before 08:00 am the next morning.  They arrived at 9:30 am.  Once on site I was impressed with the team they sent.  They worked very hard to restore water to my home and worked with me and the county utilities folks to determine where the felt the break may be.   Since my meter is 1500' from my home a new line would have been around $14000.  The young man who was foreman spent some time and was able to locate the break and repair it for around $1900 and then they honored the Angie's list discount of 10% so I ended up with a $1700 bill instead of a $14000 bill.  I was very satisfied with their work and professionalism once they arrived on site. <br />

All of the folks that I dealt with were very knowledgable and professional.  Ms. Elmore and Joanne (Office Manager) were very helpful throughout the process.  All this happened just before Christmas and they were not sure if all the required permits, etc.could be obtained before the holiday due to early closing by local government on 12/23/13.  Received a cll on 12/26/13 that the crew would be at my home on 12/27/13.  I informed my kids who were visiting that this would be happening, and to answer any questions that may arise since I would be at work.  <br /> The crew members arrived on time as specified and started immediately prepping the work area and then beagn the work.  My  oldest stated to me that the work was accomplished very well and when all was completed, she said that the foreman cme over to the house to inform her that they were done but were waiting on the County Inspector.  The crew while waiting finished up cleaning the area or any waste and when the inspector showed, he passed everything with flying colors.  The foreman came back over and had my oldest turn on the water in the kitchen and dowenstairs toilet to be sure the water flowed smoothly and the pressure was up to where it should be.  She told me that with the exception on a bit of sputtering at first and some discoloration evrything was outstanding. <br /> Will definitely use again. <br />
