This is our second time working with Victor. UNIQ helped us renovate our kitchen several years back and this time when we were looking to install garage cabinets we immediately thought of UNIQ. Victor's team once again exceeded our expectations. Kept us well informed throughout the project from cabinet selection to delivery to performing the work. Arrived on-time, worked super efficiently, and the project turned out perfect. We would 100% recommend Victor and UNIQ to anyone looking for home improvement projects.

The project entailed electrical, lighting, laundry room build out, powder room update, kitchen counters, back splash, and appliances, bedroom reconfiguration, custom barn door installation, total interior painting and baseboard replacement. We were very pleased with every aspect of the service from the initial proposal through final inspection. Victor's professionalism and great communication were evident throughout the project. His advice on selection of materials and design decisions really helped take the stress out of the remodel. Victor and his team of subcontractors are master craftsmen who paid attention to every detail yet still managed to keep the project on track. The final results greatly exceeded our expectations.

Finding Victor with Uniq Interiors to oversee our whole house renovation felt like a bit of divine intervention. He quickly responded to an email inquiry I made after finding his website. Once I met with him to walk through the house and explained my wish list, I looked no further. Thankfully, my gut was right! Neither my husband nor myself are handy, and we have never done more than change a paint color and some landscaping in any of the previous six homes we’ve shared. I can paint, and he can install small pieces of hardware. However, this house we had just purchased needed to transform from a slightly beat up and somewhat unloved house with tons of potential into our retirement, forever family home. We needed someone to rearrange walls, completely rework the kitchen, add a shower, update three bathrooms and a laundry room, and completely replace every square foot of flooring in the house, along with new window trim and baseboards and light fixtures. We also needed specialized painting of cabinets and stair rails, and a complete exterior repaint. To accomplish all that, Victor and his wonderful team tackled each task with such attention to detail and the kind of love and care you would only expect if you were doing the work yourself. Over the course of four months, it was my pleasure to work alongside Victor, several of his family members, and a variety of contractors who were so delightful, I truly wish they were my neighbors. I personally met each subcontractor he brought into the house and felt the same each time: impressed – impressed by their respect for our home, their professionalism and their genuinely kind personalities. Victor had the experience and the resources to tackle every one of our renovation needs: demolition, carpentry & framing, electrical, plumbing, countertops, shower glass, intricate tile work, specialized painting, custom cabinetry, carpet installation and more I’m sure I’ve forgotten. We moved into the house about a month prior to completion, which was not the original plan. However, Victor communicated with us consistently about the schedule and worked with us to rearrange priorities so that we could have a fully functioning bathroom and guest room in time for my son’s school year to begin. His whole team was very respectful about our schedule in the house, and they took extra care to keep the job site tidy at the end of each day. I had several neighbors comment throughout the project what a respectful and hardworking crew they witnessed when I wasn’t there. Once the project was complete, we missed their cheerful banter and kind smiles, but months later, we still walk about our home with grateful hearts, seeing all the hard work and true craftsmanship in every room that exceeded our wildest expectations. We can’t wait to get back on the schedule for phase II of our renovations to finish the exterior patio and additional carpentry work that we delayed finishing last year. If you have to wait longer than you’d like to have Victor and his team complete your project, I would wholeheartedly advise you to wait. You simply will not find anyone else whom you can trust to complete your projects with such heart, professionalism and integrity.

My husband and I purchased a home in Bellevue in April of 2018. Although neither one of us had any kind of experience with doing an entire home remodel we decided to go for it and Victor was the first of several contractors to come bid on the project. From our earliest communication Victor demonstrated integrity, the first thing he asked was what our timeline was so he could be sure the project fit within his schedule so as not to over promise. Victor arrived for the estimate prepared, took measurements, and notes. Within a few days he had delivered a draft proposal for the project. After a few revisions to the first draft proposal we agreed to a budget and timeline. He also provided us with a list of preferred suppliers to source tile and trim. Work began in May of 2018 and completed in September of 2018, within the agreed timeline. The budget was largely on target, the only reason why it was a bit over was because we were willing to pay a little more to have certain things the way we wanted which is another positive for Victor and his team, what was delivered is what was asked for. Embarking on a project of this scope is a huge task to it was really great to work with someone who I could communicate clearly and efficiently with. The quality of the delivered result was beyond our expectation. The team of subcontractors that Victor works with are craftsmen, and very diligent and meticulous workers, the job site was always orderly and clean. Overall, I was impressed at how hard they all worked and kept the project on-track while delivering a high quality result. My husband and I took a risk embarking on this remodel project, I’ve heard many a frightful story but Victor and his team actually made the experience enjoyable. It was actually very fun to see the project progress, and watch as our house became our home. I would absolutely hire Victor again for another project.

We did a total remodel of our 80's master bathroom and updated the flooring/paint of our bedrooms. Overall the whole process went pretty well. There were a few short delays but the final outcome was exactly what we wanted. I especially like the tile work and custom cabinets/vanity. Victor was very easy to work with and pretty helpful with answering our many questions since this was our first house and remodel.

We had such a great experience with Victor and Uniq Interiors. He was kind, professional and a pleasure to work with and he had so much patience with me throughout our project. Victor even went above and beyond by meeting at a plumbing supply showroom to help walk me through picking out fixtures and rough-ins, something a contractor typically doesn't do. He arrived on time, kept us informed throughout the process and kept things clean at the end of each work day. Victor truly wanted to make sure we were happy with the job we had done and I can say that we were! I would hire Victor and Uniq Interiors again for any remodeling job we have in a heartbeat.

Victor did a fantastic job on all aspects of our remodel. We talked to three different contractors and Victor was by far the best choice. We really appreciated the way he understood what we wanted to do and also that he is clearly a craftsman who does high quality work. It was also a plus that he had extensive experience working with the cabinet company we chose - Superior Cabinets. In fact, when I asked our contact at Superior Cabinet who would be a good contractor to work with he recommended Victor "because his projects always turn out great". That certainly proved true for us. Victor not only did a great job on our remodel, he also did it on a tight timeline and right on schedule. Victor also took extra steps to help us continue to live there during the remodel, e.g., he managed to always have a utility sink working in the laundry even though that made his job a little harder. If we decide to do any remodeling in the future we will use UNIQ Interiors - we won't even bother to talk to anyone else.

Victor and his team has done an excellent job on our kitchen - top notch technical skills, communication, and customer service. We were informed every step of the way and always received prompt response whenever we had any questions. Our project was finished on time and within budget. Victor was very flexible even we added additional scope mid-way. We loved our finished kitchen so much. It has truly been a pleasure working with UNIQ and we would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Our experience working with Victor was excellent start to finish. We worked with Victor to design a new plan for our bathroom. We had our shower and tub moved to an entirely different location within the bathroom. The entire project took about 8 weeks. Everything went pretty much according to plan and budget. The final result exceeded our expectations.

Everything went smoothly. Initially had trouble contacting Victor, the chief project manager, by phone, but then everything went well by e-mail.

Victor Popa and his team were always very professional, courteous and responsive.  From the written contract to the final installation of the shower door by his subcontractor, Victor was attentive to detail, something my husband and I, who are both attorneys, greatly appreciated.   Not only did all the work turn out well, but Victor was always concerned about trying to minimize the disruption to our household, even to the extent of asking one of his subcontractors to work on a holiday so that he could minimize the delay in getting the shower glass measured and installed.   One of his subcontractors mentioned how differently Victor operates compared with other companies he works for, in that Victor does his best to work continuously on his jobs to get them done as quickly as possible.   He does what he promises in the time he promises it.

I chose Victor and his team to do a full kitchen remodel on my <br /> condo. My kitchen is small, and my hope was that a few changes including <br /> raising the dropped ceiling, and installing a counter-depth refrigerator would <br /> help open things up. Victor also installed all new cabinets, counter top, etc. <br /> The outcome was wonderful. My kitchen looks fantastic. Everyone on <br /> his team took the time to get the job done right, particularly when it came to <br /> blending the texturing on the walls and ceiling. My kitchen opens in to my <br /> dining room, and after the ceiling was raised, I was concerned the texturing <br /> between the two rooms would not match. But Victor?s team matched the texturing <br /> brilliantly. Also, after I requested that they remove an old phone jack panel, <br /> they showed the same attention to detail: sanding down the area and building up <br /> the texturing so that it blends with the surrounding wall. <br /> Victor?s team also went out of their way to correct issues with <br /> the floor before they installed cabinets. My original plan was to keep my <br /> flooring in place, but his team showed me that the floor was very uneven. They <br /> could have easily just proceeded on course and installed things as I requested, <br /> but they notified me of the impact on how my cabinets would be installed, and how <br /> my flooring would look, and we discussed several solutions. Ultimately, I asked <br /> them to install a new floor and they took pains to make sure it was even before <br /> putting in the cabinets and appliances. <br /> His team was very respectful of being in my home. It?s always <br /> disruptive to have work like this done, but Victor and his crew were consummate <br /> professionals and minimized that hassle. They also did a great job of cleaning <br /> up after themselves daily and when the job was done, which I really <br /> appreciated. <br />  I am delighted with my new kitchen and will definitely ask Victor <br /> and his team to help me with future projects. I would recommend him without <br /> hesitation.  <br /> <br />

I strongly recommend NBC and Victor Popa for your next project. I found Victor, his skilled team and the subs he called in were very professional and left the area clean at the end of the day. Every precaution was taken to keep the disruption to a minimum. All were enjoyable to work with and forth-coming with explanations and suggestions when asked. <br /> Victor had the work well organized and sequenced as the project went along. As I had little experience on re-modelling and the new materials available I found Victor to be a valuable resource to assist me in making an educated decision. <br />  Victor is not only a  professional, but also a skilled craftsman and problem solver. They did all their subs. They have a variety of subs I am not sure what the names of them are on Angie?s list. They are great. They are very good. They are very professional. Their owner (Victor) is super nice. He is super prompt and very responsive. They did their job right. The only reason why I give them a minus is I didn?t not like one of their subs but other than that they are really good. Price is fair.

This is the second time we've used them. We also used them last year. They are excellent. Their work is impeccable and they are outstanding in all areas.

When he was referred to me I was told I would not be disappointed and that is exactly true.  In fact, New Beginnings exceeded my expectations. <p>We used NBC for a remodel of our 3 bathrooms in our house and installing new solid wood doors throughout the house as well as baseboards and trim around the doors.  We are very glad that we used NBC.  This was a project that grew as time went on.  Victor showed tremendous patience as he was required to work around the various other contractors we retained (installing new carpeting, installing granite countertops, refinishing hardwood floors, etc.)  Victor did a great job of sequencing his work with these other projects.  We really enjoyed working with Victor, his partner Catalan and his tile setters. They did a beautiful job.   We felt totally comfortable having them in our house for what turned out to be almost 4 months.  Whenever we had a concern about an issue, Victor was very attentive and wanted to resolve it in a way that would meet our desires even if this meant redoing some work because we had made a change after seeing the result of the design.  Victor was also very responsive  to emails or phone calls.  Victor was very fair in his pricing for the project.  </p> <p>We started this project without a lot of experience in remodeling and we learned a lot from the experience.  For financial reasons we tried to source  much of the work that went into the project such as finding our own cabinet maker and granite.  In hindsight I wish we had known from the outset of Victor's ability to provide these services.  We had already lined up these sources by the time Victor came on board and he was very respectful of the decisions we made.  He never tried to convince us to change what we had arranged.  What we didn't realize is the value of having the contractor manage as much of the project as possible so that they are in control of the sequencing of the work which could make the project run more efficiently.  Be sure to ask Victor to bid on as much of the project as possible.  </p> <p>We are hoping to use Victor again soon.  </p> <p><br /></p> <br />

The job went well overall. They accomplished the job in less than 14 days. I was housesitting at the time since my only bathroom was under construction. The job was completed as my housesitting ended and I was able to move back into my apartment with a usable bathroom. The bathroom looks great; crisp, clean, and fresh. Victor Popa was generally available by phone or email. <br /> My only quibble is tha they did not use any dust barrier. I was told the space was too small and the ventilation would be too poor if they used dust barriers. As a result, I had to spend a day cleaning my furniture, floors and shelving in my apartment. <br />

<p>Originally we had some time constraints with a big event happening at our place.  He worked well with us to understand our schedule make sure that he could get it done in time.  We worked through the schedule of what pieces we needed to pick and order at what time in order to get the project done on time.</p> <p>Once the project started things went extremely quickly and at about the expected pace.  Demo went by without a problem and after every work day things were completely picked up.  There were a couple of snags hit due to oddities in our house but they did the work required to keep things on schedule.</p> <p>The folks who worked on the house were all very professional and very friendly.  Victor uses some specialists for things such as tiling or plumbing but they were all very good and people he clearly has a well established relationship with.  They all had good follow through and good attention to detail.</p> <p>We threw a slight curve with regards to the shower door at the end (originally we hadn't specified it) and he was able to accommodate us quite reasonably.  Finally we had one issue after the fact relating to some caulk that matched our grout ending up being a bad batch.  Once we mentioned that they came out very quickly and replaced it.</p> <p>Overall a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Victor and his crew were fantastic.  Once Victor starts a job he stays on the job and sees it through to completion.  This project took about 5 months. Victor and his crew, including his subcontractors, were always punctual and responsive throughout the whole process. Victor has very high standards for his own work and for the work of his subs.  All the work that was done had excellent craftsmanship and all of the workers were conscientious, respectful, and for the most part, a pleasure to work with.  As will happen on any construction project we ran into a number of unexpected structural or building issues and Victor addressed each issue professionally and promptly.  He always keeps a level head and takes everything in stride.  We are absolutely thrilled with the work Victor, his crew, and his subcontractors did and we are loving our new space!

The project went very well. They worked with us from the beginning to figure out how we could get the most accomplished within the budget we had. They helped us through the process of selecting the granite and the appliances. Overall, they were very prompt, efficient and easy to work with. As with most projects of any size there were a few small glitches, but they were very responsive and resolved them quickly. <br />

Victor and his team were a pleasure to work with. We received several bids on our project - Victor's was in the mid to lower range but did not include a lot of the material that other contractors included. I am very happy that we chose his team. They were always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Most importantly, I felt comfortable having them in my house on a daily basis for several months. They were fantastic with our children and even friendly with our crazy puppy. Well into our project we made significant changes to our original plan. Victor did not flinch - his team's experience and extensive knowledge in construction shined through. Its rare to find a company that has stellar customer service, craftsmanship, and a very fair price but NBR exceeded in all of these areas. The pricing and billing was very detailed and clear (the only surprises were services performed without a fee) and despite being very busy with multiple jobs, Victor was easy to reach by phone and responded quickly to emails. Victor was incredibly patient with us and really helped us to stay within our tight budget. My only regret with our basement remodel is that we tried to save money on the floors using a cheap flooring company (my husband found them in the international district) rather than NBR. Needless to say, you get what you pay for and both the floors and baseboards will need to be redone :( In the future my project will be completed from start to finish with NBR.
