University Painters did a terrific job. Their attention to detail, friendliness, cleanup and administrative communication throughout the job was outstanding!

Going into our retirement years we had two choices. Move to a new area and home that would be mostly maintenance free and designed for people with physical disabilities. The alternative was to remodel and upgrade our present home to be as maintenance free and safe as possible. We decided to remain in our present home and hire a contractor to remodel and upgrade the home. We talked with several home remodeling contractors and the decision to hire Andrew Jones dba University Painters turned out to be probably the worse decision ever. Over $50k was pulled from retirement policies which included close to $20k for remodeling and upgrading the master and 2nd floor bathrooms and installing a tile mosaic backsplash in the kitchen. There are issues with the interior painting work done throughout the home, but the biggest issue is with the installation of the tile. After a few months we began noticing cracks in the grout tile floors and shower walls which continued to become worse with each month. Within about 6 months entire pieces of tile from the bathroom floors could easily be removed. Additionally there have been water leaks from the 2nd floor bathroom showers damaging the ceilings on the lower floor. The labor cost alone from a different contractor who specializes in installing tile is approximately $2,600.00 plus the cost of materials to replace the tile floors in the bathrooms and resolve the grout issues in the showers. Attempts to resolve the issues through Andrew Jones and his subcontractor’s dba University Painters has been completely unsuccessful.

The crew arrived on time and got straight to work. They prepared the area with drop clothes, filled all the holes, repaired the drywall areas, caulked the seams and moulding and did a very good job on all. Then they painted the entire basement, walls and ceilings. We could not be happier with the results, and we would hire them again in the future.

The quality was really good. I would absolutely use them again, probably will in the future.

These guys are great! I've used them twice now...once for outside painting and this time for inside work. They did a great job both times. No mess, very clean.

No complaints would hire again. Reasonable price.

It was fine. I used them a couple of times. It was excellent! A lot of painters I had to have come back and touch up thing because maybe they missed a spot. I never had that with them. They were very good a following through with little details. They made sure everything was proper the first time. I never had to call them back.

The lady that made the estimate was very good, but the people that came out I was not as happy with. They over sprayed a little bit and got it on my concrete. They had to scrub that off the concrete and didn't get it off the brick. My advice would be to get other estimates because you will find somebody that can do just as good as a job for $200 cheaper.

Work was very sloppy. There work is crap, average homeowner can do better work than they do. Do not waste your money I cannot stress enough how sloppy the work was: drips, roller marks, un-sanded drywall patching, lack of straight edges because work was free hand, lots of areas lacked proper paint coverage. Work was poor and quality was poor. AVOID!

The painter was meticulous, careful and cleaned up each day. Painted the deck in 100 degree weather. Only had one problem-- they didn't paint a very visible area of the outside of the deck, the end of several boards which looked awful. After I complained the lead painter spoke with his supervisor and agreed to paint the boards-- and did a great job.

I'm glad they did it because of the height of the 3rd floor.

From the estimate to final touch ups, working with Andrew and his team was a true pleasure! Andrew is professional, respectful, and communicative. I am so impressed with the whole process. They got the job done right on time and on budget. I will absolutely work with University Painters in the future, and have already recommended them to my friends and family.
