On 10/18/23 I consulted with Angi to find a moving company for a moving job on 10/20/23. I contacted a few on the approved list by Angi before I found movers who were available on the date I needed. I contacted Ryan Dubberly with Up and Go Moverz. Mr. Dubberly/Up and Go Moverz agreed to move me on 10/20/23. We agreed on 3-4 movers. Mr. Dubberly with Up and Go Moverz quoted me a price of $1,275.00 for the movers and being available on short notice. He required payment upfront due to the number of movers and short notice. He sent me an invoice and asked for the fee to be paid by Cash App. I was in desperate need of movers and after speaking with Mr. Dubberly he presented himself and his moving company to be trustworthy and competent so I agreed to the cost of their services and method of payment. I was provided an invoice from Up and Go Moverz once the payment was made and received by Mr. Dubberly. The job was scheduled for 12:00pm on 10/20/23 ~ 40 minutes before they were to arrive Mr. Dubberly/Up and Go Moverz texted me to say their vehicle broke down on the way to the job and would not be able to come at all. He apologized and stated he would be issuing me a refund. I had to find other people to help me move and had to pay these people ~ so I paid Up and Go Moverz/Ryan Dubberly and they did not provide the service and therefore paid twice. I allowed a couple or two days to go by before I inquired about the refund. I was hoping that I would have been refunded that same day. To this day I have never received any response from Up and Go Moverz concerning my refund request. I can see that Mr. Dubberly has “read” my text messages but has not responded. I still do not have the $1,275.00 I paid for the service that was never delivered. I am not a wealthy person and being out of pocket that much money is a financial hardship for me and my family. I am only requesting the refund amount. I am hopeful that by following the process set by Angi that I will receive resolution.

SCAM - PAID THE HALF UP FRONT OF $1,125.92. I spoke with Ryan Dunbar multiple times before the move to make sure it was still on the books. The Day before the move the other half of the payment $1125.92 was pulled out of my account without permission. The rest of the payment was supposed to be paid by me after his packing and moving guys arrived at the house. He said, he must have accidentally set his new Square up as auto payments. The next day the packers and movers never showed. I called him and he didn't answer. I called three times and he finally texted me back saying, "he had a family emergency" and he'd call me. I sent a text back asking for a refund. He has never responded in any capacity. We had to hire new movers on 24 hr notice and we ended up packing it as fast as we could ourselves. This is not a legitimate business. He is a thief and fraud. I'm contacting my attorney and filing police reports.

Do. Not. Hire. Paid for service up front, two men showed up to do the contracted work (driving from 30 miles away), however, they did not receive their up front half payment and tried to contact David—he refused to pay them. We needed out that day due to mold. We waited 30 minutes for the upfront payment and it still never was paid. I ended up paying the movers, this paying twice for this service. Angi should remove from list of “Pros”!

If I could give a zero I would. Ryan Dunbar is fraudulent. The night before the move of my elderly parents I called him to find out what time the movers would arrive. He informed me he did not have a driver. I expressed that this was a significant financial and emotional impact for my elderly parents. Ryan advised he would call me back that evening with a solution. He did not call back. I was forced to hire another moving company for my parents. I've called Ryan multiple times and he has not picked up and I was unable to leave a message since his mailbox was full. I've repeatedly requested my $525 deposit be returned since he failed to performed the contracted duties of moving. He is unreliable, non-responsive and fraudulent. Do not give him any money through Venmo.

If I could give a zero I would. This company is completely fraudulent. I paid a $525 deposit via Venmo, I should have known better. The day before our agreed upon move I did not hear from the company to advise on time of arrival. When I spoke to the agent, he advised that they did not have a driver and would not be able to complete the move. I advised the mover this was a huge financial issue and that we needed to move on the date we agreed to a month in advance. The agent said he would call me back that night to advise about our move. He never called back. I was forced to hire another moving company. When I call the number provided no one picks up and it states the voicemail is full and I am unable to leave a message. I’ve requested my deposit of $525 back through Venmo due to failure to complete agreed upon service. The company is not reliable and is non responsive at this time.

They demanded an exorbitant amount up front after finding out I was desperate and no-showed the next day. When I called saying I'd demand a refund suddenly every mover within my city was up and ready to move my stuff (which I had already gotten inside) and they then stated my refund would be in within 5-10 business days. It's been 13 business days and I am having to file disputes with Venmo and my bank because they not only never showed for a job but they aren't returning the money they didn't earn. Ryan is a cheat and a scammer, don't trust him.
