Because I was trying to meet the time schedule of dry-wall and electrical installation, I hastily hired a carpenter under the Angie's list promotional of, "hire a contractor for a day" at a heady price of $299/day.   I needed a gutted, upper floor of a small house to be framed for the electrical and dry-wall.  It is an old house, and things are usually not square initially, but I had hoped the " contractor" could manage the wall framing for the two rooms of framing.  <br /> First day, it was clear, he was slow.  He worked a second day, and because it was over a year ago, I only recall he was slow and that I spent a good deal of time re-doing what he framed.   I understand not all carpenters are the best, and maybe this wasn't his finest hour, but this didn't work out for me.  It was costly, and not very well done. <br /> Finally, although I paid for three days, he never returned my five or six phone calls when I tried to schedule the third day.  Granted, we had some scheduling conflicts, but never did he call me to see about scheduling. <br /> Of course, I should have been more pro-active about scheduling and I should have notified Angie's list that I was not satisfied with their promotional, but time had passed, and I had hoped it would work out.  It didn't.   I moved on although, I still have this disappointment, and now, I have vented about this bad experience.  <br /> Caveat emptor! <br /> <br />

He did not seem to be equipped with all of the tools; I did have to supply some of them. He did do a good job on installing the new toilets. He also gave a bid on replacing some flooring and replaced some smoke detectors. I did have an allotted time with the deal, he was done early. I feel that he could have at least walked around and checked additional things out. I just wish there was a little more initiative on his part. He was a good guy, good personality, competent, and cleaned up well.

I thought with this deal I thought I could have odds and ends jobs done, when he arrived he mentioned he usually only does flooring and bathroom remodeling.   I wanted a new door put on my garage; I purchased the wrong door, he said if I purchased to correct door, he would come back out and try to install it. But here were some issues with getting it to fit. I also want a small corner piece of wood put up where some wood had rotted; he said I would have to call a soffit/fascia person to come out to perform the work. He did fix a lock on a door for me and also took my door back to the store. He was very thoughtful for the jobs that he did do for me. I don't want to hurt his reputation. The things that I wanted done just weren't in his scope of work. I would like a refund please.

Kevin did a great job working thru my wife's general to-do list.  Very professional and would hire again. <br />

That worked out really well. He took a lot longer than I thought he would but the thing is he was doing it himself rather than bringing in a group of people. But he did a really nice job and the key thing there was that I thought that he was very well priced. So he showed up at the same time everyday. He put the tile and everything; I provided all the tile so I just hate him for the labor and everything and he did a really nice job on it. Like I said I thought it was a really good price, he came in much lower than five other contractors who I ad this subject. He was on the job for five days but he is very good. He did the whole thing himself and so I paid much less for the job, so I was very happy with that, that somebody else might want to pay more and have someone do it in three days.

It was awesome. The guy was fantastic. He was very upfront and honest. He gave us a very good estimate on how long it was going to take him to do certain things. He was very honest upfront about the one thing that he wasn’t sure he would be able to do. He told us that he will take a look at it and see if he can fix it but if he can’t, he would ask me to get somebody that was more experienced in that particular thing.

It turned out good. He came out immediately. He was very nice and he did everything good. He is basically driven to do what he came to do there and once he completed it. He was very pleasant, nice, professional, no problems. I would use them again in the future.

He did a great job, was very punctual.  He painted some very tall walls for me, had the equipment, and did a great job. <br />

Kevin did a great job and I would hire him again.  Unfortunately, he's moving out of state.

We were very pleased with the work.  Even though we received a special deal through Angie's List for 6hours of Handyman Service for $199, we would love to bring him back at full price to complete our never-ending list of jobs.  The time saved and quality of work are well worth the money. <br />

I called Kevin at 5:00 pm on July 3rd because my husband had purchased a new front door for our house and could not get it installed.  Kevin quoted me a price and said he'd come over on July 4th.  He arrived about 15 minutes earlier than he said he would and he helped my husband with the door.  There ended up being a problem with the door and the door had to be taken back to the store and exchanged.  I'm sure this caused the job to take much longer than he had originally expected, but when he was done, he still only charged us the amount he had originally quoted the day before.  I thought that was very nice of him, especially since it was a holiday.  He is very professional and very polite.  If he weren't moving away, we would definitely continue to use his services. <br />

I think he did an okay job. The price was good. My husband was there when they came and he mentioned that he shouldn't have done with Angie's list because of how much money he was losing, which I thought was kind of in poor form. I would not use them again.

The experience was terrific. I was very happy with the service and will be calling him again for more service. He was excellent. He was very versitile and that was what I needed.

He was prompt and did a great job. We would have liked to use him again, but he is moving out of the areas a few weeks. <br />

He was one-half-an-hour late but I will use him again in the future.

Kevin, came over for 6 hours of work for me, he completed the  installation crown molding, chair rail and baseboard in two rooms. took care of caulking, and painting. Of course I had more work than what could be done in 6 hours, but he did a great job. <br />

Kevin was very professional , neat and clean. When realizing the existing bathroom lights were not properly installed (needing a plate behind it for support) He was happy to go to the hardware store and get what was needed to hang the new lights. This was something neither of us would have known in advance without taking down the old fixture. He also chose a better weather stripping for my door than the one I had bought (worked better for my door) I paid him for these items when he returned. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> He worked quickly and got everything done <br />

It went well.  It was a bit more involved than  the original estimate so we agreed to a fair price. <br />

The handyman's work was good but I am not sure if I would recommend them for bathroom grouting  work. Their price was reasonable. They were very punctual. I had no problems communicating with their quality of work. They did a good job. I don't want him to contact me. The grout work that he did was not very good.

Kevin was very professional and all work was done in a timely fashion with attention to detail. What impressed me,  was that when the job was done there were no remnants of the project lying around.

Kevin was very professional and went above the call of duty. He changed the front door to my home which was tough. I bought the door at Home Depot and it would not have fit in my suv and kevin offered to pick it up. This caused him to make an xtra trip. Spent close to 6 hrs on the job and a part was due to his standards for the job. Thinks through the project carefully then moves on. <br /> Will definitely use him on other projects that will need to be done. <br /> Won't go wrong if you have a need for someone like kevin.
