Rubem and team were excellent to deal with and completely transformed our outdated guest bathroom into a modern and very functional spa-like retreat.

Upperroom Construction recently replaced rotted wood planks, stairs, and railings on our large backyard deck. Rubem's team was extremely professional and worked hard to complete the project in a timely manner. After removing the rotted deck, Rubem's team discovered the deck joists were not properly supported and brought this to our attention. They made the necessary adjustments to the supports and continued to complete the project with a minimal increase in cost for labor and materials. I will be recommending Upperroom Construction to anyone needing renovation work to their home. Extremely satisfied with the work.

For our small bathroom renovation, down to the studs, we were amazed by project manager Rubem Smith's ability to maximize space usage to the inch. He transformed our measured drawings into a precise reality: a spacious square shower next to a tall, deep closet built above the wainscot walls using three Ikea door panels, with ample room for a rolling cart, laundry basket, and more in our master bathroom. He oversaw the installation of a large medicine cabinet, positioned just 7/8 of an inch from a tiled wall to accommodate a towel ring and an outlet, while improving ventilation in our second bathroom's washer-dryer area. We're grateful that Rubem's team coordinated with our vanity countertop contractor to ensure perfect alignment of faucets, access panels, and backsplashes. The fire-grade lighting design beautifully highlighted the tiles, and the moisture-guard painting provides us with peace of mind. We achieved everything we wanted, in the right places, and successfully passed 12 inspections in our conservative town. Thank you, Rubem, and your team!
