Half of their work is very good. The other half is mediocre. They patched, acid etched and coated our 58 year old concrete porch with polymer modified coatings. Less than 6 months later the coating is worn and chipping off. They acid etched and coated the garage floor and said it would probably crack someday. Someday was 3 weeks. They removed the old wrought iron railings and installed new aluminum railings whose angles and placement do not match. They still have not replaced the small railing gate protecting the basement stairs. They installed Unilock Pavers. The pavers are basically level. They were supposed to repair and reinstall our chain link fence gate. They dug out one post and reset it leaning north. The gate was worse than before they started. We had to pay someone else to fix it so that it stays closed. They removed and replaced the asphalt driveway and did an excellent job but we spent 2 weeks with the driveway dug down to the clay with machinery and debris everywhere. The two river rock sections are very well done. They work, when they please. They say “we’ll be here tomorrow” and finally show up days later with increasingly outrageous explanations. This project is not finished and we are very displeased with the quality of the work and the way that Uptime Builders do business.

Great very professional no problems

Below is my review for work done on my home a few years ago: I am a return customer of Mr. James DeLeo. I have selected him to complete multiple projects for my properties and this time I was trusting him with the huge undertaking of renovating my 1895 Chicago Row House. Once again, I was impressed with the quality workmanship and problem solving skills of Mr. DeLeo and the tradesmen that he chose to bring on as part of his team. I spent over three months working with his men on a daily basis. I opted to live in the row house while they completed an extensive renovation, so needless to say I spent a great deal of time with Mr. DeLeo and his team. I am so grateful for the hard work and vision they provided in order to shape my hopes for my home into a reality. I am thrilled with the outcome of the renovation and was very pleased with the efficient and considerate work of the men who loaned their skills to this project. The house presented some obstacles along the way, but Mr. DeLeo and his team were able to brainstorm solutions that allowed me to maintain the vision I had for my home. The estimate Chicago Pro Construction provided me at the onset of my project was honest and very reasonable. As the project progressed, he always provided me with the most cost and quality effective means to address the couple of unforeseen issues my house presented. All of the men Mr. DeLeo selected for my project were considerate and respectful. I had a dog and a cat living with me during the renovation and they even went the extra mile to make sure that my pets experienced as little stress as possible during the project. I have already recommended Chicago Pro Construction to several of my close friends who have enlisted their help in projects of their own, and would not hesitate to continue to recommend Mr. DeLeo due to his integrity in terms of business ethics as well as quality of workmanship.

This experience was rare. It was delightful to have such diligence in follow-up, as well as technical expertise. The drywall is seamless and the paint job superb. The paint color matches perfectly, as it should with the new technology available. But please let me ad this to support my satisfaction with the company and its work: My late husband was a general contractor for both commercial and residential space, as well as a home builder. I also have a degree in architectural and interior design. Therefore, I pay very close attention, to the customer service, technique, and punctuality of a company's performance. The estimate was close and all costs were discussed upfront before the final decision was made. I have no hesitation in saying, I would highly recommend this company for ANY residential or commercial rennovation. It could not have gone smoother!
