I would highly recommend Candace. She is a professional in her work and pleasant in her demeanor. She listens to you as well as offering advice and helps you see different possibilities while staying in your budget. She personally checked in when contractors were working to make sure they were doing the job to her expectations. I felt in very good hands with Candace and will be using her again for other projects.

I have worked with Candace Hillier of Urban Interiors for several years; she has redone my entire home in Davie. As soon as people walk in they remark on how beautiful and serene my home is. It is easy, breezy, Floridian style and truly gorgeous. My elderly father recently purchased a condominium and I contacted Candace for advice on whom to go to for window treatments, as I thought this jib was too small for an interior designer. I was wrong. No job is too big or small for Candace to handle. She came out and discussed my fathers needs for privacy, temperature control, and aesthetics. The resulting window treatments and trim were absolutely stunning and suited his needs perfectly.

Excellent. The quotes, estimate and final work were scheduled in a very timely manner - very professionally. Once finalized, and the installation date was set, the work was completed in a very high quality, professional manner. The selections of window treatments recommended by Candace Hiller - were stellar!

It went very well. Candice came to my house and we discussed various options which would allow me to have privacy but not lose the light and view. I decided to go with sun shades, and she took me to a wholesale vendor so I could see options in person and then gave me samples to try out for a few days. Once I picked the product I wanted, she arranged for the measurements and the installation. Everything was prompt; she herself is very responsive and the crews doing the work showed up on time and were very professional. I wold definitely work with Candice again. In addition to having creative yet practical solutions, she's friendly and approachable. She will listen to your wants and needs and find a way to meet them with good design ideas. On a separate note, during the project she also directed me to a great painting company and helped me get a small furniture piece upholstered. Her referrals were spot on.

Candace was great to work with. She referred me to wonderful craftsmen who carried out an amazing job. She helped with the kitchen design and layout, countertop selection, wall colors, floor tile, window coverings...... all of it!! She had great insight into the little details that make a project stand out from the rest. With her great knowledge, patience and understanding of the process, the project proceeded without a hitch. I love my new space and will definitely work with Candace again!

Overall, the transformation went extremely well. The interior of the house had not been painted for seven years, and the coloring throughout the house was what was popular in the late 1990's when we had the house built. We had previously had the kitchen remodeled, so Candace had to work around that. We found that she was very willing to propose ideas and then listen to our thoughts before proceeding. One of the main benefits of working with Candace is that she works with a team of subcontractors who are not only high quality but extremely nice and accommodating. We still have a couple areas of the house that need to be upgraded, so I'm sure we will be working with Candace in the future. <br />I think the highest compliment we can afford Candace is that when the six month project was over, we looked at her as not just a designer but a friend as well.

I am very satisfied with the work.  The project was done very well, at a reasonable cost, and in a timely manner.

<p>We found Candace and Urban Interiors through Angie's List and hiring her was the best decision we did.  We undertook an ambitious addition of 1,000 sq ft over 2 floors and Candace handled everything!  Since we both work and we have small children, we weren't in a position to make the hundreds of decisions needed to coordinate with the builder and contractors.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Candace did all of this for an extremely reasonable fee!  She was constantly at the house when we weren't there and met the suppliers, contractors, and delivery people and did all the ordering and installing, too.  Her cabinet maker is top notch and all of her advice was spot on!  The place looks fantastic!  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>She even recommended additional paint, lights, and furniture for the family and living areas which made the house 100% brighter and helped improve the flow into the addition.  Every guest we've had has commented on how beautiful everything is and we couldn't agree more!  We will use her again when it's time to redo the other bathrooms and the master bedroom.  She is the complete package...professional, trustworthy, reasonable, impeccable sense of taste...you can't go wrong!</p>

Candace has been working with my husband and I for a few months now. We bought a home to remodel and then found out I was pregnant, and got overwhelmed with all of the details. Candace not only coached us through the process, but also was very accommodating so we stayed within our budget. I highly recommend her!

Candace Hillier, the designer/owner of Urban Interiors, was nothing short of the consummate professional. From the moment she met me at the new condo, she listened to my vision for the interior decor and, on the spot, offered some incredible suggestions that were totally in sync with my vision. Her ability to create a design plan and to work within budget constraints was exceptional. Candace has an amazing team of professional sub-contractors working with her. She renovated the kitchen and designed a large granite kitchen island with an attached 138" granite table and storage cabinets at the base. The kitchen was completed on schedule and on budget, and her highly skilled team installed it on the date promised. Candace's follow through and attention to detail was remarkable. She responded to every text, email, and phone call within minutes. Her ability to communicate was unparalleled. At one point during the renovation, Candace was on a vacation (out of the country), yet she maintained email contact with me throughout her vacation and even placed a lighting order! Candace provided me with detailed invoices throughout the renovation. I loved her energy, enthusiasm, ideas, creativity, and her organizational skills. She's one-of-a-kind and created a totally "WOW" kitchen?from design to installation?.in less than one month! I would, without hesitation, recommend Urban Interiors to anyone who wants a seamless, collaborative experience with an interior designer. It went great!  Candace is extremely trustworthy and doesn't pull any "funny business".  Everything was invoiced, with her design fee clear and included.  She passed along discounts to me and didn't try to secretly work them into her fee.   If something was wholesale to her, it meant that.  I saw all the receipts that she had when she went on shopping trips. It was all upfront. Every person she brought into my home to do services was ethical, prompt and trustworthy.   <br /> One of Candace's strengths is that she is chock full of good ideas.  Simple fixes to long standing problems , such as having the cat litter in the house...no problem to install a cat door leading to the back room.  Solved a 3 year longstanding problem in a matter of a day.  I had the challenge of a long wall in a 1950's home, she helped to fill up the room and make the room look more balanced.  My bedroom has a dreamy quality to it, just like I had wanted.  On top of that, I have found now that my house is so beautiful, I take pride in cleaning my home and feel more at peace here.  The house has a great atmosphere.  Everyone who has visited has commented on how relaxing it feels.  

As expected, the job ran seamlessly. Candace is so organized and her vendors are top notch. She really understands what we want and gave us a beautiful new bathroom with the storage we needed.  I love her style and product choices.  We couldn't be any happier with the results. <br /> <br /> We'll definitely be using Urban Interiors for Phase III of our remodeling!

Candace is a full-service professional. Whatever we needed to get done, she had a professional to do the job. We had new lighting installed, walls painted, new furniture and an overall redesign of our entryway, dining area and home office. Candace is very professional, works fast and relentlessly follows up. I could not have dreamed of a better partner for this extensive remodel. Candace came up with beautiful designs, fixtures and details as well as great solutions for storage. Her contractors did exactly as they said and she managed the process so completely that I didn't miss any work during the construction - which was completed in an amazing five week period. We would consult in the morning and Candace would put everything into action.  Even with all the work in the kitchen, we were only two days without access to full cooking facilities.  <br /> I put this work off for so long because of my previous experiences with construction and contractors (I had fired the first contractor I hired to do this work). Candace is a breath of fresh air and provides great ideas, design and can bring them to fruition in a timely manner. I highly recommend her! <br />

This was a great experience.  We went from just doing fresh coatings of paint to redoing an entire room, replacing the fireplace, refacing pillars, updating chandeliers, and lightening up the window treatments.  Candace made every step very easy for us and the work was done well within time limits. <br />

We had just purchased a new home and needed some help with the interior design of the home.  We needed help with the wall colorings and furnishing the entire home with new updated things.  After doing our own research on designers, we were impressed with Urban Interiors style.  We were looking for contemporary style.  Even though Candace was located about 100 miles from us, she spent the time coming up to see us throughout the design process.  We were very impressed with the quality of the furniture and we was able to stay within our budget.  She has an eye for seeing what colors look good together as well as room design.  Candace was personable, easy to work with, always a phone call away and taught us a lot about design.  We look forward to working with her in the future on other home projects. <br />

While living in the Bahamas, we purchased a home in Fort Lauderdale that needed a complete overhaul -- opening a wall in the dining room, new tile flooring, modernizing an existing fireplace, replacing fixtures, replacing baseboards and choosing paint colors for the walls just to name a few things.  Candace helped us with all of these things and more.  She was instrumental in hiring contractors, supervising work and, overall, helping to transform a dated South Floridian Georgian Colonial to a beautiful, warm, coastal, elegant home.  All of the workers she works with are professional, courteous and do extremely beautiful work.  Candace herself is a very talented designer who is very easy to work with.  She  is always easily accessible via telephone and e-mail, is hard-working, extremely trustworthy, detail oriented and goes above and beyond for her client (even bringing her own air purifier after our house was covered in dust.)  Overall, Candace is an absolute pleasure to work with.  I continue to work with Candace on various smaller projects and, I'm sure, I will be needing her expertise much more in the future! <br />

Candace was very prompt and professional. She had great ideas on things that I would never have thought of on my own. I called a few people on Angie's list before I called Candace. Once she answered the phone with such a pleasent tone and easy to talk to without making me feel like I was wasting her time, I knew  she was the one that I could work with.  After she left she emailed me with her ideas on what would look nice in the various rooms.   I highly recommend Candace. Candace has a cadre of sub-contractors with whom she has worked for years. Everyone of them gave accurate estimates and did excellent work. Candace was on-site every day and kept the project moving along in a timely fashion . All of her recommendations regarding design and decorating were practical and beautiful. She was very responsive to my ideas and helped me keep focused on the end product.   <br /> I could not have taken on and completed this project without her help. She demands excellence from the people she briings into the project and that made my life so much easier. <br />

I own a ranch style, 80's home. It was transformed from a dark, dated house into an easy, breezy modern Florida home. The space was opened up to give direct view to the lake and make for an open floor plan. Working with Candace was a dream. After the initial consultation, she created a story board with her vision and we went from there. Her taste is modern, yet timeless. One of the benefits of working with Urban Interiors is that Candace's knowledge extends far beyond design. She knows something of construction, electrical, flooring, painting, etc. She brings in her own workmen, who are extremely professional, and arranges everything. <br /> Candace repurposed some of our existing furniture and added both higher and lower end furniture. She understands that comfort and function are as important as design. We love our new home and everyone who comes in shocked by the transformation. I think that people feel designers are too expensive. The truth is that a good designer, like Candace, can save you a lot of money and a ton of aggravation.
