Had the whole house insulated in 2016. Just found out that there is now mold in the attic. Have had three different contractors come to look at it and ALL have said the reason is because when the insulation was blown into the attic they did not take the time to rake it away from the soffits. Now I'm faced with a major repair bill of $3000 to eliminate the mold. Plus, to make matters worse, my utility bill did not go down very much after having this done. Only thing I can say is that the house is more comfortable. So beware if you use this company and make sure they install the insulation into your attic correctly!

We had our insulation done and it came through two walls of paneling, we specifically asked if paneling would be an issue, the sales guy told us no and said if there was any issues they would repair them. Called and complained they sent out the rudest gentleman to look at the damage, he came out the next week to repair it. All he did was STAPLE the paneling back up to the walls and it looks AWFUL. Called to complain and the Manager didn't even care to apologize for the experience just kept saying you should review the contract, we aren't fixing it. I said the sales guy told me it wouldn't be an issue, she directly said "he is just a paid subcontractor, it doesnt matter what he said" SERIOUSLY so this company hires salesmen, lets them feed you a bunch of ******** and then tells you it doesnt matter what they say!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY they do NOT care about their customers AT ALL! They left me with a mess to clean up, two rooms to paint and one room with huge staples in my walls

It was horrible. I asked the guy for a quote and he came over here and he said I needed to sign a form that says that he did a quote for me. When I was on a business trip, I got a call from them saying that they were on their way to do the insulation. I told them that I didn’t ask them to insulate my home. Apparently he had tricked me to sign a form that they were going to come and insulate house. So, I called them back and told them that they needed to send the truck back because I didn’t want them to insulate my house. So, it turn out the guy that drove the truck didn’t start drilling into my house without me been there. If he had started drilling my house, that would have been a big problem. So, USA Insulation’s got some major integrate issues.

Talkedto Steve at the home and garden show and set up an appointment for an estimate. <br /> When he came out, he told me right up front that they were pretty backed up due <br /> to the bad winter. I was fine with that and set a date that was good for both <br /> of us to have the work done. They called the day before to remind me of the <br /> appointment and showed up on time and did the work in one day. They did a great <br /> job, cleaned up after themselves and you couldn?t even tell that they had <br /> popped off the siding to drill the holes for the insulation. <br />

I had a wonderful stuff with U.S Insulation. They were professional, we had an area that quite wasn't insulated right and they came out and took care of it. No questions asked and they cleaned up and they were wonderful. I would use them again in the future.

When the salesperson, Emmett Greely, came, he told me they do this kind of work every day. He led me to believe they do sound reduction jobs every day. <br /> <br /> They did the 1st and 2nd floor wall. They drill 2 inch holes in the wall and fill it in. They then finish the drywall. I still have spots where you can tell where the holes were drilled, so they didn?t finish the drywall well. The foam insulation did not help with the noise reduction at all. <br /> <br /> I called and spoke with the office manager, but received no help. I called several times over a 10 day period and eventually Steve, the owner, returned my call on May 20th. He contradicted what his salesperson had said about the noise reduction. He sent another team out to put more foam in the walls which meant they drilled more holes in the walls. One of the workers actually told me he wasn?t sure why they told me it would help with the noise reduction because he could guarantee me it wouldn?t help. He explained what materials help with noise reduction. After they left, there was no change in the noise reduction at all. <br /> <br /> The technicians were very pleasant and nice but if the salesperson would have been honest with me about the noise reduction and denied the work, I would have had more respect for the company. I felt like I was taken advantage of.

The service tech was really great. Overall the service and results were excellent. One area of improvement >> they need a 220v power connection. Most people with electric driers will have this plug, but it comes in multiple head varieties. They did not have the right head to plug in, so instead they plugged directly into my fuse box. While all turned out great, this was an area of apprehension. It would be better if they had multiple heads (and backups for when one truck steal the head from another truck). <br /> <br /> <br />

After initially not showing on our scheduled day (same day as a snow storm) and calling 3 hrs after the fact, everything else went great. I had also asked for a crawlspace estimate which was very reasonable, I plan on doing that this spring. They initially estimated it would take an hour, they were there closer to 2.5hrs. I also asked them to remeasure the space for the attic once they were up there, and saved 50$ off the estimate, so something to keep in mind. The estimate measurements were done on the outside of the home, very rough estimates. I do plan on using them again once the weather warms up. <br />

The two men arrived on the date scheduled and very much on time. They explained what they would be doing and asked if I had any questions after the explanation. They went about doing the insulation job and keeping me in the loop about what was going on. At the completion of the job they cleaned up all around the house. They came in the house and checked all of the electrical outlet and light switches on the outside walls to ensure everything was working. <br />

Updated review after service performed - initial review following: <br /> - I heard from provider the day after my review and was scheduled for the next day. They arrived on time and performed work agreed in a timely manner. <br /> <br /> I have made three connection attempts via email to schedule - and spoken to a live person TWICE with request for call back to schedule service. Have had zero response and thus no service has still been scheduled. First contact was 11/30 - most recent attempt was 12/17. <br /> I was told all Angies List customers are handled by the owner and my call would be returned the next day. The person answering the phone was unable to answer questions related to it or help me any further. <br /> If I ever hear back - I am willing to provide an updated review.

"Thank you for taking the time to update your review. We appreciate your business! We received a large response when we participated in the Angie’s List Big Deal promotion. Unfortunately, abnormally cold temperatures in the last few months caused a great deal of scheduling conflict, leaving us in a position where ALL customers who had already been booked needed to be shuffled around and rescheduled, not to mention to a number of Big Deal customers that were still waiting for install dates. Our equipment simply will not work when it’s -20° outside, and we haven’t had a break from these temperatures yet. The Big Deal promotion is under no time constraint and we have been operating accordingly. To this date, we have installed for everyone that participated in the offer, unless they withdrew. We apologize to anyone we were unable to connect with in the time period they expected and to those that had to be rescheduled."
