USA Insulation of Indianapolis

We contacted Angie’s List for recommendations for Blow-in Insulation to refresh older insulation in our attic. Three companies we recommended to us. Two phoned the next day. I never heard from the third. I told both I was gathering information and would call to schedule an estimate. I called and scheduled two companies, including USA Insulation, to come make an estimate. One company called one minute before scheduled and wanted to re-schedule. Chris from USA was on time. We were pleased with his offer and accepted. He scheduled the installation for the next day. William and his helper arrived, set everything up, and went to work. I checked regularly and photographed the attic. When they were through, they thoroughly cleaned the area. We were quite pleased. Shortly after completion, Michael, a company inspector, arrived to check the work. I would give the company an A+.

The installers were absolutely great. The office staff were terrible. They explained that when they spray it in the switch does not work, they had to send out an electrician to fix the problem. I put on their site that I would not hire them to insulate a dog house because of the office personnel. The insulation is an A, the responsiveness is terrible.

They did a good job. They ran the vacuum after they were done, they laid down guards to make sure none of the insulation got anywhere else in my home and wore hospital booties so they didn't track anything in. They helped me take down my drapes and made sure that they had guards in the attic so the insulation wouldn't cover the ducts. I was greatly pleased with their work and I can already tell a difference in the temperature in my home.

There was a slight difference between the original agent and the work crew regarding where the holes would be drilled into the siding surrounding the Bay Window Out Crop.  However the Forman of the work crew explained why the difference of procedure existed and we were satisfied with his explanation.  They cleaned up any debris they left and took great care to not disturb any of the flowers my wife had planted in the area surrounding the Bay Window.   I might note that before they came out, we put a thermometer in the cupboards adjacent to the North wall and recorded the temperatures at different intervals of the day.  After the Insulation had been installed we repeated the recording of temperatures and we had a noticeable difference in the indoor temperature. It was much more pleasant to eat in the dinning area during the winter evenings and not have to wear a sweater or light jacket to keep warm while partaking of the evening meal.

The crew showed up & explained what they were going to do, step by step, and did a professional job.

The crew was polite & clean. Very professional and knew what they were doing. Cleaned up after all day project. It will be interesting to see if the product works in winter.

Good.  Prompt.  Answered all my questions.  Explained the process & good clean-up. <br /> Feel it is overpriced.

Insulation was installed in attic, there was an accident with a light fixture and they promptly took corrective action to make necessary repairs, to our satisfaction.

They arrived on time. Did an excellent job. Cleaned up afterwards. They were personable very efficient.

although not hired directly from Angies List I wanted to make others aware of this company in any form I could.----------------------- DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.  The hit a wire in my garage when installing insulation on 11/10/15 and as of 11/18/15 they still have not came back to repair.  the had an electrician out 3 days after they hit the wire and he as supposed to call "early" the following week to set a tiem to fix the problem.  as of 11/188/15 I had not heard from them.  I called them and am waiting on a "call back".  they were more than happy to take the check  but failed to fix a problem they created in any kind of a timely manner. wanted to make others aware of this company in any form I could. <br />

They did an ok job but towards the end of the job they punched through some drywall and the repair work they did was not great.

Overall, they've done a very good job, and their work has made a noticeable difference in my home's energy efficiency.  However, I've noticed that my windows still permit some air into the house.

<p>My experience with USA insulation was a disaster.  I had an addition done to my home 10 years ago that was not well insulated.  I hired USA to add insulation and we scheduled a date for the work.  Shortly after that, the salesman called and asked to move up the service date.  I told him that I could not be home the day he proposed and that my wife wasn?t comfortable making decisions regarding the work.  The salesman assured me that she wouldn?t need to do anything and that any questions the workman had would be directed to him.    </p> <p>When I arrived home the night that the work was done, I was greeted with a terrible surprise.  The worker had drilled 48 separate 2 inch round holes in the wood siding all at random points around my home and filled them with plastic plugs.  I immediately called the salesman and was told they would do whatever was needed to fix it.  After waiting a week and hearing nothing, I called the office. They know nothing about the problem.  Eventually, they sent the foreman out who agreed the plastic plugs were wrong and suggested that I go out and buy ?bondo? to cover the holes and repaint the area. I called the office and getting no results, asked to talk to the owner.  After a number of conversations, the owner accused my wife of choosing to have holes drilled in the wood siding and picking plastic plugs.  </p> <p>After weeks of complaints, the foreman returned, replaced the plastic plugs with cedar and covered them with the ?bondo? patch.  I talked to the owner again about the damaged areas needing to be repainted.  He refused to have the areas painted and sent me a check for $50 to ?buy a can of paint.? </p> <p>The outside of my home has been damaged and devalued.  Stay as far away from this bunch of clowns as you can.  </p> <br />

It went extremely well. The showed up when they said they would. Did what they said they would . They were very professional and cleaned up when they were done. I wish all contractors were like USA Insulations

They did such a good job that I couldn't even tell that they put out our siding, put the insulation under and put the siding back on. The house is quieter, we don't hear too much noise from the outside. I would use them again. <br />

My experience with them was good.  They were timely.  They were careful, considerate and professional.  They were clean.  The price was a little too high.
