<p>I was in need of a total repainting of our townhouse.  A call was made to USA Painting, and I was able to make an appointment a few days later for an estimate. Lou arrived shortly before the scheduled time, was very professional, and took is time during the estimate process.  We discussed paint colors, and decided what would look best in each room.  He then went into detail of each room discussing the conditions of the walls, what if anything would be staying on the walls or would be removed and holes repaired.  This proved to be a great time saver when it came to putting the room back together.  He also discussed what colors the trim, ceiling, and walls would be and also asked if we wanted the closets to be painted white or the same as the other rooms.  I would have never thought about that until it was being done.  The next day I received an email with a very professional, very detailed estimate of the work that I had requested. Every detail matched our conversation, and there was no wondering if what we discussed was included.  I had it all there in the estimate.  </p> <br /> Upon approving the estimate Lou and his crew of painters were back out within a few days. They arrived at the scheduled time prepared for the job.  They moved the furniture away from the walls, took down the window coverings and used drop cloths throughout the house.  The work was done very quickly, professionally, and all of the workers were very polite.  <br /> Once the job was completed and everything was packed up I could not believe the improvement of a good quality pant job made to the entire townhouse!I could not see a single blemish in the wall or paint lines anywhere.  The edges around the trim looked like they were made with a laser, and the walls looked like we had replaced everything with new drywall.  Everything was so neat and clean when they left it did not look like I had just had everything painted.  They even cleaned up some paint splatter that was left over from a previous painting!  The price of the project was a little high, but you really get what you paid for.  Absolutely worth every penny spent.  I would highly recommend using USA Painting for any painting project.  When you want a quality job done call a professional. <br />

EXCELLENT!!! I was very happy with the work Lou and his team did. Lou did a great job meeting my schedule as I was having several other contractors working at my house and had to get the painting done at a very specific time during the other construction projects. The quality of his work was excellent and I would definitely recommend him.

They were able to accommodate my deadline of when I needed the painting completed. I was set on using the same paint finish on all the walls, but Lou recommended a different paint finish for a part of the hallway wall because of some of the imperfections of the drywall. They prepped all the walls as needed, and they worked quickly, but diligently to complete the job. During all the painting, I basically lived on the couch in the living room. They thoughtfully planned where to start painting so that i could still be somewhat comfortable when I was home. They pay great attention to detail and you can tell they take pride in what they do. It was a good experience working with them and I would hire them again.

Lou and his guys did a wonderful job. The basement is back to pre-flood damage condition, our front room stairs look straight out of a Pottery Barn catalog and we could not be more pleased with the bookcases. They were our biggest concern since they involved co-ordination between two vendors and would become the focal point of our family room. The entire job turned out superb.

Lou is an absolute professional and a true craftsman in his trade. I found him to be honest, direct, and straight forward in every interaction I had with him. He did such an awesome job on the exterior of my house I decided to use him for the interior as well. I am an extremely demanding customer. If something does not look absolutely perfect to me I bring it up to the contractors who are working for me and ask them to fix it. There were very, very, few instances where I had to ask Lou our one of his guys to touch up work that did not look right. Which in and of itself is a miracle given how complex my painting job was with all the plaster walls and rusted steel I asked Lou to paint. And when I did see one or two things I thought needed to be touched they fixed any and all imperfections immediately without any attitude or pushback. Lou and his crew showed up at 8:00 am sharp everyday and they worked hard non stop all day long. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and they had to work around my family and all our stuff because we lived in the house while he was doing the job. Lou's crew is top notch and they take a lot pride in their work and the finished product they produce for customers. I never worried about my house or the things in it when I would leave during the day when I had to run errands. Lou completed everything he said he would do when he said he would do it as stated in both of the contracts I had with him. Ignore the 1 or 2 negative ratings you see for Lou and focus on the sheer amount of positive reviews he has collected from his customers through out the years. These positive reviews speak volumes for the kind of businessman Lou is and the work that he and his crew do. I can not say enough great things about Lou and his team. Hire these guys for any and all painting work you need done. I promise that you will not be disappointed with the end results.

WARNING: I realized after I submitted this report that the company changed their name as indicated below. What I didn't realize 'till I started telling my friend about the experience is that this is a HUGE red flag! Companies typically change their name if something bad, like a law suite happens. I also saw the owner's comments below. Yes, when someone does a crappy job, they should re-do it for free or at some sort of reduced cost, taking accountability for their part in the mess-up. To reiterate, I asked him to show me the color early on in the process and he didn't. When he finally did, and I didn't like it, he assured me that it would be better once the job was done. NOTE: This report replaces the one I submitted to USA Painters, I didn't realize USA Painting Company had more reviews. This is the company I used I had used USA painters once before and was happy with them, so when I needed my bedroom painted, I went strait to Lou, the owner to see if he could help. After three years of working hard to start my own business, working 60 hours a week and only spending money on the business, I finally decided it was time to do something nice for myself - making over my bedroom was most important to me. I went out and purchased new furniture and paint color to give my bedroom a fresh look. There was a quick turn around on the job since furniture (and carpeting) were being delivered next week. He told me that he could fit me in on Thursday and he also gave me a quote to paint the room for $225. So I figured that sounded fair given what I had paid for painting the whole place. When he got there, he noticed that I cleared out my whole room, including the closet. He had painted my closet before, so of course I was expecting him to paint it again. He then said that the closet isn't included in the price and that he didn't have time to paint the closet -- THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST RED FLAG. Totally crazy that you would quote someone on the room and not include the closet. At that point I was really unhappy, but wanted to get my room finished since it will be much harder to do so once the furniture is in the room, so I told him to get started. The color I picked, looked good on the chip, but I wasn't totally sure about it, so I wanted to see how it looked on the wall. I asked Lou to show me how it looked once he put some on the wall and he said he would. I when in a few times to look and he kept telling me that he would let me know when he had a little on the wall, so I went back to my desk in the other room to look. It had been while, so I went to check on things again. I was totally shocked to see that he had completed an entire wall and it looked TERRIBLE. I asked him why he didn't call me in sooner and that I didn't like it. He told me not to worry and that it would look a lot better once the 2nd coat was on. Long story short, the 2nd coat didn't make it look better, then he gave me some story about needing softer lights -- I shouldn't have paid him, but did in good faith because he said I should give it time to dry and then it would look better. SECOND LESSON - I asked to see what the painted looked like on the wall and he didn't honor this request -- I should have demanded that he stop after one coat and not listened to him while telling me the BS about it needing a second coat, needing to dry and needing softer lights. This guy is a JERK LESSON THREE - Don't pay someone if you aren't happy with their work. BOTTOM LINE The work wasn't even that great. There is total overlap between the walls and the ceiling which is white. Shoddy work. The worst thing about the whole situation is that I called him to work things out and he gave me MORE BS about it taking possible three weeks to make things right and that it would cost an arm and a leg. This it total BULL if he messes up, which he did by NOT LETTING ME SEE the color like he promised and then giving me BS line after line about the 2nd coat, etc. Then, when I said that I was happy to pay for the paint, but didn't thing I should have to pay for the labor, he freaked out and said not to call back and hung up. This guy has NO integrity. Messing up happens, but to not event take the time to try to resolve things is criminal. I do not recommend doing business with this guy and if you do - proceed with caution. If you ask him to see a sample of the paint on the wall, make sure you stand there and watch him. DON'T pay him unless you are completely satisfied. Once he has your money, you are screwed. At this point, I'd just like my cost for the labor back so I can get someone reputable to fix the job. So disappointing. It's almost like I'm working with a completely different person from last time. I give fair comments. They are good when they should be and bad when the should be.

Lou was easy to work with - a nice guy. We were trying to decide between two colors, and Lou helped us make the right choice. The work was very good and completed in a timely manner. USA was not the lowest quote but reasonable for the job. I would hire USA Painters again without hesitation.

I've used this company three times in the past 2 years. Communication is always good with USA Painting. If you have to leave a message they respond within a reasonable time. They showed up right on time and get the job done within their estimate.

We are very very happy with USA Painting and the job they performed. The quality of the work was excellent and Lou was timely and responsive to questions. We received estimates from other painters, and USA Painting's price was extremely competitive. His team also worked very fast, getting what we thought was a rather large amount of work done in only three days. He was also able to start early in the morning, to accommodate our family's schedule. We would definitely use USA Painting again and would recommend them to others without hesitation.

Overall, the experience was great - - Lou was very responsive, able to come over relatively quickly after we spoke on the phone to perform the estimate. I anticipated a few days between his visit and receiving a $ amount, but within about an hour or two, he gave me a call to let me know what the price would be. Following a couple of additional estimates, no others could compare to what Lou promised from a price perspective along with how quickly he could get the job done -- while I don't want to sacrifice quality just to save on time, if I can avoid having work done in my home over multiple days and trust that the person can do it, I'm all for it! The day of, Lou & one other person arrived right on time and ready to go. I was working from home that day in a separate area, so Lou was able to check in with me if he had questions or concerns, and I was able to see the progress throughout the day. Lou also mentioned beforehand that they never stop for lunch - they just go straight through and make sure to get the job done - and by mid-afternoon, the work was completed! Being a bit skeptical, I was expecting to see errors or the blue showing from under the new light yellow paint, but I never saw that (the only thing was a bit of paint dripped onto a screen door, but that was easy enough to scrape off) and was totally impressed. Every day now, I go into those rooms and it is like a breath of fresh air, and I have Lou to thank for his help.

Lou did an absolutely wonderful job. I was looking for someone who took pride in their work and he and his assistant completely did. They did a very thorough job and paid attention to details. He was very responsive and always punctual. Very clean and considerate. I am highly recommending Lou and his company to all my friends and that is saying a lot as I tend to be somewhat of a perfectionist. I trust Lou and will use him again to complete the painting of our other rooms.

Lou and Nina were outstanding. They were prompt in quoting, prompt in service and excellent in professionalism and neatness. We had had a problem with one of our newly installed windows that didn't arrive on time and Lou came back himself to do the job. We changed our mind mid course about what we were going to have them paint but they were excellent in adjusting. I would highly recommend working with them.
