One person spent the entire time on the second visit trying to hang the gutter in the rain.  Since this repair was done in the winter, I did not check it out until the Spring.  The gutter was not on the house.  I had to hire someone else off of Angie's list to fix this problem.  All of the closet doors, and the towel rack failed.  All of the closet doors were off their hinge within 3 months of the repair.  I have a big hole in the wall where they tried to hang the towel rack. The rack fell down when it was touched.  I was never able to hang a towel on it.  I hesitated to write a review, because they were very nice people, but the quality of their work isn't worth any deal they offer. <br />

We bought a $159 coupon for drywall and stud work to repair a closet that had been partly demolished in order to fix a leak in the wall behind it. We had the materials for this work. The provider came and said it could probably be done in the time allowed in the coupon. <br /> We also asked for some insulation to be added in the attic and he told us how much to buy and said this work would be done with an additional charge at the same rate as the coupon. We did not hear from him for about 2 weeks. We called him (he seemed to have forgotten about us) and eventually two men arrived and said they were there to do the insulation. They did this and were polite and efficient. We were satisfied with their work. Then they had to leave without doing the drywall repair they did not appear to know that it had been ordered. We never heard from the company again, and were not interested in trying to contact them. <br /> It was difficult to rate this company, because of the lack of responsiveness. (Although we were satisfied with the work that actually got done). <br />

It went well.  Scheduling was easy.  They sent a two man crew.  They painted and repaired the drywall within eight hours.  They were professional.

It was okay. I knew that I would have to buy additional time from them since I had more work for them to do. I didn’t feel that I got enough done for what I paid. They have not finished the job and I am still deciding if I am going to call them back to finish the job. The sent 2 people out to do the job. The workers were nice and pleasant, but they seemed to take a long time to do the work.

They were timely and neat. They cleaned up after themselves and the whole nine yards. They brought the proper tools and equipment to ensure that the carpet and flooring wouldn't be damaged. I surely would use them again! I wasn't charged other than the price of the deal.

Be-careful of the this company. they are misrepresenting themselves.  I would not recommend this company for anyone to use. I have tried calling several times, and they have not returned my calls or finished the work.

Once the work was finally scheduled, it was done very well.  The mechanics were conscientious about cleaning up after them selves, and did very good, professional job. (though one did leave his drywall square here!)  The problem with the experience was with their office/scheduling.   It took them nearly 30 days to respond to our repeated request to schedule the work after we purchase the Big Deal, and only after contacting Angie's List, did we finally hear back from them.  Once we finally got their office on board, the workers were great. <br />

They reattached a piece of drywall in the ceiling that had been cut when the garage door was installed.  They had to add a new stud so they would have something to attached the drywall to.  They also repaired one wall which had several holes from insulation repairs and misc dents from cars and kids. <br /> They called the day before to confirm and to go over the materials i needed to complete the job (my suppling materials was part of the deal). <br /> <br />

<strong>BUYER BEWARE! </strong> I initially found this provider from an online  deal for painting.   When scheduling for painting, we were informed that they also offer additional packages for handyman services.     We wanted to get our ceiling fan and bathroom fan installed, so we decided to purchase the additional packages.     The fans were eventually put up, however, this was after making many calls and texts to chase them down and try  to get them to come back out and finish the work.   When they first attempted to put up the ceiling fan, it was left lopsided and it took several calls, a no show, and then another round of calls to get someone to come out to correct the issue.   After about a week, another representative came out and  re-positioned the fan, however, our bedroom light switch, which used to work, before they came out, now no  longer works.  I now have to pay an electrician to come correct their mistake.   They promised to give us a call back in one day, after talking with their electrician, to try and see what they could do to remedy the problem.   That was over a week ago.   I have since then, left voice mail messages, emails and text messages, asking them to at the very least, provide an update as to if they are able to fix the problem.   There has been no response from the company.  This company has demonstrated very poor communication skills in this instance, are not responsible, and did a very unsatisfactory job.  I would not recommend this company, especially if you are getting anything other than painting done.  The end result has turned out to be horrible and costly.

We had a leak from the bathroom above, which we didn't know about until the water was dripping on the dining room floor!  <br /> The guys arrived on time and started working right away.  They had to cut out the bad dry wall from the ceiling, replace it with new and make it look like new.  They were able to do it without having to take down the crown moulding along the ceiling, which kept the cost down.  We also had them patch the small hole the plumber made in the bathroom wall when he repaired the problem.  They returned a second day to do the sanding and painting.  The guys were friendly and let me know exactly what they were going to do and how they planned to do it.  <br /> I will definitely use them again, either personally or with my clients. <br />

I purchased a deal from Universal Remodeling Pain and Drywall to repair a ceiling that had given away. I received a call from the owner after sending an email in which explaining to me step by step how and what the process involves. Mr. Wright, the technician, called prior to arriving for the appointment. He was punctual, professional and courteous. He looked over the work area, took some notes and got supplies to start the work. The work that I needed to have done took multiple deals to complete. They did two bedroom ceilings. Overall I had a very good experience. The workmanship is great and the ceilings look like they were never damaged.

It was sort of so, so. I had them come in, because I wanted a door put up. He told me that it would definitely not fit. So, I had them do some other things. They were okay. I did not have to pay anything extra. I did not know anything about doors and he showed me why it would not fit. It is an old house. They were happy to do the other things. They took care of everything that I wanted them to do. It was a fair price. They were on time. I would use them again if I had the need.

They were excellent, very punctual. The guy did an excellent job. He was very neat and clean. I was very pleased with them!! I would definitely use them again!

They did an excellent job.  Were on time and their work made it very easy for me to come in and paint when the spackle was dry.  Would definitely recommend them. <br />

Good job working in awkward space with little room to work around radon removal system outlet pipe. <br /> The downside: Area clean up was slightly below average and drywall material was left in splotches on wall (perhaps hard to see because of similar color) and also left few small splotches on floor (not hard to see). <br /> Frankly most contractors do a poor job of protecting your belongings and cleaning up and I should have bird-dogged them more. <br /> Also area of drywall tape near baseboards under window was not covered sufficiently and I had to get them to improve coverage before they left. <br /> The job they did around the pipe was a B but overall, have to give them a C or C+ for quality because of visible tape and splatter issues. <br /> But both men were very nice and polite as was the owner or manager with whom I made the appointment. <br />

Overall the job got done but not without some interesting notes. Workers showed up on time and we had all the materials prepared for them per their list of needed items. They didn't have the proper (or any?) drywall screws and took an inordinate amount of time to install first of three ceiling sheetrock pieces. <br />

It's difficult for me to write this review. I am unsure if the contractor just forgot to follow up with me or didn't received my messages. While I can't complain about the professionalism of the two men that came out to my home, I am disappointed on lack of follow thur on completing the job. I had purchased six hours of labor to complete repairs on a section of drywall. While the work on placing new drywall and the initial taping was completed. The mud work was never not completed. I received a call from the contractor stating the mud work needed to completed at a later date. I called and left a message to  have the remaining work to be completed but no return call. While I understand they may have received a high response to there offer, it doesn't explain the lack of follow-up. I am working with another contractor to completed another job I originally had wanted them to do. I have to say I am disappointed. <br />

Purchased the Angies List deal, workers took their time to start work, took too long to do the task, cut holes for downllghts/ceiling registers incorrectly.  Can still see tape/seam lines in drywall.  What should have been a 2 day job turned into nearly a week.  They told us it would take 16 hours to do the work, then came back after the job was halfway done to tell us it would take much longer. We ended up over $800 LABOR ONLY (versus their original quote of $318) total to finish what they already started.  <br /> <br />

Two gentleman arrived a bit late, but they stayed later to make up for it. One clearly was a trainee, although I had purchased a coupon for 6.5 man-hrs. of work. This disappointed me. The experienced handyman did good work, although they scratched my living room floor with the new cabinet -- a floor that I had just had refinished by another Angie's List provider -- and they punched through the back of the bathroom wall into the living room, making a hole in a wall that had just been painted by another Angie's List provider. Both are small but annoying problems that I will have to repair. For these lapses, I couldn't give them my highest rating. But as they worked hard to make my medicine cabinet fit and the results very much pleased me, I definitely would try them again! <br />

It went well, but I supplied materials like drillbit.  I subsequently had to tighten some screws.  They were very pleasant. <br />

I purchased a Groupon for interior painting for one room measuring up to 13' x 15' x 8'.  I paid extra for USA Universal to patch up and paint the ceiling. <br /> The crew arrived late (outside of the time window), however, the lead crew member DID call me in the morning to explain that they were having transportation difficulties.  The two men painted the room using the supplies I purchased (paint, rollers, painter's tape, plastic covering).  They were pleasant and worked quietly.  At the end of the day, after they had cleaned and packed up their things, they asked me to sign-off on the work.  I noted that they had not painted the inside of the closet and had missed some spots near the footboards.  Since they had to move onto their next painting job, the crew lead Andre offered to return the following morning, which he did.  He worked diligently and did a great job. <br /> I would use USA Universal and Andre specifically because, in the end, the job was well done with a helpful attitude. <br />
