U.S.Shingle sent out a representative and after a roof inspection he determined that the existing "chimney stack" was the problem and that they would replace the "chimney stack" for the minimum charge allowed by their company ($600.00). We agreed to that price which was for a new chimney stack and all necessary flashing and required shingles. He said they would schedule the work for the following Wednesday and we agreed to that. My wife scheduled that day off from her employer so that I could go on with my business that day. A couple of days later U.S. Shingle called and said that they would not be able to do the work on the scheduled Wednesday due to too much other work caused by the recent rains (those "recent rains" were before they inspected our roof and scheduled our work). Having already scheduled that day off, my wife had to take it and loose a day's vacation time. U.S.Shingles told me they would do the work the "following Saturday or Monday" and would call me to let me know which day. When I hadn't heard from U.S.Shingle by the day before that Saturday I called and asked what our schedule was. I was told that someone would call me right back and let me know. I waited four hours and called again. Again I was told that someone would call me back. At 4:00 Friday I did get that call back and was told that their crew would be at our house "first thing tomorrow morning". I called off all of my scheduled meetings for the next morning. Saturday morning I waited until 11:00 and never heard a word from U.S.Shingle, so I made haste to meet with the people I had asked to re-schedule our meetings. Monday morning I called U.S.Shingle to find out what had happened to our "first thing" Saturday morning, but no one answered the phone. Twice more I called back and no one answered the phone so I left a voice message that I wanted to resolve the problem and to please have someone call me. No one called. When my wife called them the next day she had to leave a message also. She pulled up her online bank statement and found the number that had been used for our credit card charges to U.S.Shingle. That phone number did get through to someone who told us that he, himself, had gone to our house on Monday and replaced our roof vent. He sent pictures via text message to prove the work had been done. The "vent" that had been replaced in the pictures was not the "chimney stack" as agreed to in our contract with U.S.Shingle, but was the water heater vent (a much smaller job). I was home almost all day Monday and no one ever called or rang our doorbell to let me know that someone would be up on our roof. I never heard anyone make any noise and when I asked our neighbor if he had seen or heard anyone up on our roof on Monday, he said he never saw a soul at our house (all day long), but he did see the workers next door and across the street. I believe that we are the victims of a scam. I haven't been up on our roof to see what if anything has been replaced, but I will be doing that tomorrow morning.

"This review is simply not true. 13 years in business with over 60 A+ rated reviews on Angies list. We ask you to look past this false review. Not only did we install the correct pipe the homeowner left a negative review 2 hours after we finished the small repair. Not only did he leave a false negative review he still has not paid us in full for the work we did. We went back to his house after he left the review to take a photo of the pipe we replaced proving to him that we did replace the correct pipe. He agreed but yet several weeks later he still has not removed the false review or paid us the remaining balance for the work. We are sadly turning it over to the small claims court in order to get the money owed to us. Its customers like this that has required most roofing companies to get a 50 percent down payment and even then we still have the risk of getting burned. 13 years in business Thousands of happy customers. Better than I could have imagined! I had called six companies - S I X - to request a quote before getting in contact with US Shingle. They either would not return my call, or did not show up for scheduled appointments, or both. US Shingle came out right away (for which I am grateful because it was late on a Friday) and within 15 minutes (literally) had inspected my roof and was in contact with my insurance provider. Yeah, my roof was in pretty bad shape. I am not exaggerating when I say that every bit of this project was handled with very little required of me. The work was performed within two weeks and they finished the job in one day. I couldn’t be happier. It looks beautiful!

I typically don't leave reviews, but these guys did a great job very quickly and for much less than I had anticipated. The last week has been very heavy rains and we noticed a leak in our upstairs bedroom. A friend had told us about US Shingle, so we gave them a call. They came out the next day and had us fixed up within a couple of hours, and it was a lot less expensive than we thought - we are happy to recommend these guys to anyone!

It went perfect! Joey confirmed the day the work would begin and end. His crew was punctual and courteous. The workmanship was exactly what I expected. He immediately addressed a minor concern I had and wouldn’t leave until I was 100% happy with my new roof. I would recommend this company to everyone.

The salesperson was initially helpful and responsive, but that went out the window once the contract was signed. We picked (what we later discovered) was a custom shingle that had to be manufactured on order. This was not communicated. After several calls concerning when work would begin, we were given a date. I needed some additional work done, and had my handyman drop everything to complete the other work before the roofers arrived. When they didn't arrive, I called the owner, who told me that the shingles hadn't even been ordered yet. When the shingles did arrive, the crew was quick to finish the job. However, they left nails in my driveway when they finished, and the yard was a mess. A few weeks later, their gutter contractor came out to look at the gutter work that needed to be done, and told me that US Shingle would call back in a day or so to schedule the work. After no call, and a couple of weeks of leaving messages, I ended up going with a different contractor to complete the work. I would never recommend US Shingle...poor communication, poor follow-through.

I think [Member Name Removed] for the business but i want everyone reading this to know we did a fantastic job installing his roof and it looks absolutely beautiful. We did have to come back to get some nails we missed on the first round and that was addressed to the homeowners satisfaction immediately. We stayed in constant contact and updated the homeowner on the gutter install situation. Two things happened that made the gutters go on a few weeks after the roof install. 1. over 50000 homes were hit by large hail in april of 2017 and as a result every single gutter company in town was 3 to 6 weeks out do to the amount of damage. We sub out our gutter work to a reputable gutter company that was 6 weeks out after the storm as he works for multiple roofing contractors like must gutter guys do. 2. The summer of 2017 was one of the rainiest summers we had in 50 plus years. It was raining 3 days a week sometimes 4. So with the rain and 50000 homes just about all the roofing and gutter companies were in the same boat. The homeowner sent me a text saying he found a gutter company himself and for us not to worry about the gutters. All was fine. A Few days later i get a email about a bad review on Angies list. For future customers considering us please note we have 45 A+ reviews on angies list and 5 star rating on home advisor. 13 years in business with an A+ BBB rating. we are not perfect but we certainly try to go above and beyond with all of our customers. This is a copy of my email to U.S. Shingle on May 22, 2017. As of May 26, 2017, U.S. Shingle has not responded. The Roof Tune Up package was purchased on February 18, 2017. Upon purchase, I received an email from Angie’s List stating that the provider would contact me to set up an appointment. This was not a pressing matter and a month went by waiting for U.S Shingle to contact me. After this time period, I called U.S Shingle at a number provided by Angie’s List, 205-358-3580. I left three phone messages that were not returned. On March 24, 2017, I sent an email to joey@usshingle.com. This email was answered stating that you were not aware of the purchase, but that it would be scheduled for the next week. On April 4, I sent an email asking for someone to call so we could get this scheduled. You replied that it was scheduled for Thursday April 6 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. When no one arrived by 2:00 PM, I sent an email stating that I needed to leave at 3:00 PM and stated it would be ok to reschedule. You called and said that storm damage had put you behind. That is understandable and I had no problem with that. However, a phone call would have been appreciated. You said someone would definitely be here between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. No one came, no one called. I waited until mid-afternoon on Friday April 7 and after not hearing from you, I sent a follow up email. I did not receive a response. On Friday night at approximately 8:00 PM I heard a noise outside and went to the door. Your truck was leaving. I don’t know what time your people arrived but it had to be after dark. No one bothered to come to my door and tell me that they were at my house. We have had our home broken into and items stolen from my vehicle parked in my driveway. It is NOT a good idea for someone to be in my yard after dark, unannounced. It would seem that it would be difficult to perform this work in the dark and obviously, there could not have been much of an inspection done on the roof. During our conversation on April 6, you stated that you would call after the work was performed. It is now May 22 and you did not call. At no time did I state this was an urgent matter and it could have been rescheduled at a time that was convenient for you and me, in daylight hours. I am attaching two pictures showing boots installed by your workers. Based on the information provided and the pictures, let me ask you a question. If you were the customer, would you be satisfied with the way this was handled?

"A couple of things. First one we were no longer offering or advertising the Tune up special on angies list at the time [Member Name Removed] contacted us. We never had a record of it because we were no longer advertising on angies list. As a courtesy i told him we would get him on the schedule for a roof tune up. Not only did we do the Roof Tune up we actually went above and beyond and installed a Pipe Boot cover over his torn original pipe boot. In the Angie's list Tune up it list we will inspect the roof and seal up to four penetrations using silicone. Pipe boot covers are not included in the Angies list tune up deal we used to run years ago. We do have our own 99.00 tune up we sell outside of angies list that does include up to 2 pipe boot covers. The homeowner took a picture of the pipe boot cover and complained that it didn't look good. Its literally a pipe boot that slides over the top of the existing torn pipe boot. No tools required. He was also very hostile and rude to our installer. He even made a point he owns a gun and someone could have got shot for stopping by 30 min before dark. Its sad when someone threatens you for trying to help them out. Some people you cant make happy no matter what you do. We encourage all future customers to look at our 45 A + reviews on Angies list and Home advisor."

It was excellent. We are very happy. We just had some huge rains and the roof is doing great. I would recommend them. They were really good. I didn't even see them. They came when I wasn't even there and they were all cleaned up when I got home from work. It was all done.

<p>U S Shingle sent Ken Proia to tell us why our Chimney was leaking down the fireplace and in our basement. Ken and one of his crew climbed on the roof, took pictures and explained to me what the problem was. Ken gave us two options: A quick patch job and hope for the best or eliminate any possibility that it would leak again. We chose the latter option. Ken and his crew was punctual and polite. They answered all questions that I had during and after the repair. After the job was finished, they said we will not see the leak again but the work was guaranteed if we did. They cleaned up the work site after the job was finished. Our roof looks a lot better from our new deck and we feel like our home is in better condition than it was. </p> <p><br /></p> <br />

The crew that did the work were wonderful! They did a great job. Very professional. I have several big dogs in the back yard and the guys made friends with them so they weren't incessantly barking. I am very curious and asked a lot of questions. Every question was answered and I was not treated like a pest. <br /> The crew boss, Jeremy Miller was very patient with me and very professional. I think he would make a great salesman! he could answer all questions any one had about the work before it's started. <br /> My Mom lives next door and she liked my estimate so much she asked for one. Her job begins tomorrow so we will see Jeremy and the crew for a few more days. <br /> We met Hank from U.S Shingle this morning to discuss my Mom's roof. Very nice gentleman. <br /> It rained over the weekend and no sign of a leak! <br /> <br />
