They were good. Scheduling was fine. They came out and did the job fast. They were thorough. There was one person here doing the work and he was on time for the appointment.

The work turned out fine. They were really nice to work with. They stayed in contact with us as the work had to be delayed due to weather. They got the work done quickly, once they were able to.

My experience went okay. The staff was professional and friendly while visiting.

Arrived on time and peformed work efficiently, leaving no mess.  Reported problems with the chimney crown and supplied quote but no pictures.  Willingly came back and took pictures so I could see the chimney crown problems without climbing up high on a ladder myself. <br />

They were thorough and explained their work.

I just don't like it when a company trash talks previous work, then tries to upsell based on the trash talk.

They were nice and professional enough during the cleaning and inspection. They seemed to have a nice lady working in their office who helped keep things organized and she was pretty on top of it. Unfortunately that is where our positive experience ended. <br /> First of all, after the chimney cleaning, we have not been able to light a fire in our fireplace. It seems like the chimney is clogged up somehow. Maybe the flu is stuck shut? The fire never catches -- just smolders and fills the house with smoke. NOT GOOD. <br /> When they originally (during the September cleaning/inspection) gave us a bid of ~$600 for repairing the bricks/mortar on our chimney, we told them we wanted to get the work done (the damage can be seen from the street) but needed to save up the money first. We called in November and contracted with them to complete this work, and paid half of the money as a deposit. The second half was to be paid on completion. <br /> We also explained the problems with lighting a fire but asked them to take a look at it when they came out to do the repair. They agreed. <br /> The first appointment we had, they were very late and then called to explain that they had gotten backed up with work and could not make it to our house that day. They rescheduled for the next Saturday and promised to put us as the first appointment of the day. <br /> Saturday, later in the day, they called to say that the snow on the roof made for dangerous conditions and they would put us on the next Saturday. <br /> The next Saturday, it had snowed again so I emailed them and said that we didn't want to wait around the house if they were going to have the same problem with snow on the roof and it didn't seem safe so could we just go ahead and cancel? I didn't get any response until I sent a follow-up email a few days later. His response was, "Well I didn't call or email because it seemed like you understood the weather conditions." I did, but a little communication would have helped us know how to plan our day. AGAIN. By this point, we were sort of annoyed with blocking out time to be home and them not showing up or canceling ahead of time. <br /> Since then we have heard nothing. Their nice office lady seems to be gone. No one calls back. (Don't bother leaving a voicemail -- they aren't returned.) <br /> We have emailed and called multiple times. Today, their phone seems to have been disconnected. We have paid nearly $300 in deposit and are trying to figure out how to get a refund. (We did not pay that through Angie's List -- only the first coupon.) <br /> We are more than willing to resolve this with them, but fear they are gone, gone, gone. <br /> BEWARE. <br />

After about two months they finally came to give an estimate .  They said they didn't have enough people to complete my job, and refused to do itThey wanted me to invest in their company so they could hire more people!  They said the problem was with Angie's list .  They said they had ask Angie's List not to run the ad.  I don 't Know about the ad but I was disappointed in how the chimney repair was handled, I would never use them again

Evaluated 90 year old home, 2 chimneys. Seemed very knowledgeable. Prompt w/ estimate, and provided very thorough explanations of all that is required to be safe and structurally sound, and meet code.

The work was as expected. They had to work a different job in the morning unexpectantly and we received a phone call that they were late. They forgot to cover he downstairs fireplace and let a lot of debris down the chimney. It was vacuumed but there was still some remnants and a lot of dust. Some of the paint on the hearth was left chipped. I have called and am waiting for a call about the chips. <br />

They showed up on time and did the work they said they were going to do.

They were prompt and efficient.

My house is 90 years old, and after recenly buying it and remodeling it, I needed some input on my fireplaces.  These guys came out and gave a great and thorough inspection so I know where to go next.  Unfortunately I have to save up to make some more repairs, but if I had started to use the fire places as-is, I could have had a dangerous situation, OR a lot of black smoke in my house! <br />

Everything went good.  They seemed very knowledgeable in their trade and helped us decide when would be the best time to make the necessary repairs.  Cost seemed little high until after I made a few calls and did a little research myself.  I'd definitely hire them again at the time I'm doing repairs. | |thanks for your help |

Old SLC home. Chimney was in disrepair, crumbling in some places. Did a great job fixing it and also some cracks around the brick home.

They found problems caused by the builder cutting cost corners. <br />

Very punctual, friendly, and clean.  Was good with the kids and dog.  I would definitely use again. <br />

Their work was very professional and very well done.  I particularly appreciated that they were able to do the job on the weekend.  They rebuilt my brick chimney, which was in very bad shape, as well as lining the chimney for venting the furnace and capping the chimney appropriately.  Great work, very attentive on returning phone calls and great service. <br />

He was very quick and clean, and didn't ask me to pay a cent more for the service!  He was honest and took pictures of our chase cover which was in need or repair, but he said it wasn't an emergent replacement, jut something to replace soon.  Gave me a quote for that which seemed very reasonable.  Overall very good service, and he even gave my son a chimney sweep coloring book! <br />

Pro <strong>vider performed services well.  He recommended an additional $800 in chimney service which I purchased!  He was able to provide photos and provide good evidence that the work needed to be done.  I have an appointment for him to return in early October.  I feel this provider is honest and reliable. </strong> <br />

Arrival was punctual, service was professional, and they didn't try to sell me any expensive additional services.  In other words, they didn't use the two chimney inspections to create unnecessary future "repair" work.      My only negative comment, and it is a minor one (the reason for a "B" rating on responsiveness):  The person handling telephone calls was very sweet, but she was never available in real time.  I always had to leave a message, even when calling during regular business hours, and the return call was seldom prompt (more like a day later than an hour later).   I don't know whether this was unusual or not. <br />
