Dint complete the job even though he was paid in full, DO NOT PAY HIM ALL THE MONEY UNTIL YOUR PROJECT IS COMPLETED, he takes on multiple projects and can't accommodate for all, I called and text him to see when he's coming back he tells you the next day, then nothing not even a call, or text to let you know he's not coming. He does your work in stages, then ask you for money after each stage even though the payment agreement was half up front then the other half when completed. Had to hire another contractor to complete what he started. Waited over 4 weeks and still a no show. Then sends me pictures of other projects he has going on, meanwhile mines not complete.

I contacted him on a Thursday and he came to do the job the next Monday! Took 1 day to get it done. It’s exactly what I described that I wanted and pricing was fair. Will definitely use him for future projects.

Not only did this man show up and park in our neighbors driveway, he also did a very poor job in ‘fixing’ our stairs. He poured concrete the day before a snowstorm and said it would be perfectly fine which obviously we had doubts about but he insisted. Ever since, we have tried to get him to come back to fix the awful job that he did and he has not communicated with us whatsoever. We got another contractor to take a look and he let us know that the stairs need to be completely redone because there’s simply no fixing them. I cannot say this enough; do NOT hire this person. $300 down the drain, these types of ‘contractors’ give honest ones a bad name. UPDATE AS OF 3/26/22: I'll be honest, the contractor gave me confidence during the review of the work I requested at my property. My first concerns were the weather regarding concrete work, of which I was told it would not be a problem. The work was scheduled despite knowing it was going to snow the next day. I was also told it does not need to be covered. I made sure the steps were not to be walked on by my family as well as the post office or any other parcel delivery services. Snow did accumulate on the steps from the storm though. I had to ice some areas like my walkway and main porch / landing above the stairs but nothing got onto the concrete steps. From there, I noticed some flaking on the top of the stairs of which I mentioned to the contractor and stated we probably should not have scheduled the work when we did. From there, he still had to come back and remove the wood shaping for the concrete steps. He said he was going to address the top flaking of the steps. I was then told the way the concrete was poured did not settle correctly because the concrete was poured with broken concrete he took from destroying the old steps. Quick side-note, I got the opinions of two other contractors and was told that the way the steps turned out would warrant them being destroyed and poured again the right way. After four rescheduled dates to "touch up" the existing state the steps were in, which were during a beautiful weather week for pouring concrete, he came by during a time when it was going to rain and be cold temps again. This time I bought tarp and covered the steps for 72hrs along with keeping people off of them. Unfortunately, the touch-ups looks messy. I'd also like to add that both times the steps were worked on, I had a mess to clean up around the stairs and the first time had a huge mess on the street. I'm assuming this was due to disposal of old concrete in their utility truck. My review is very detailed because I have photos of all this info mentioned and this cost me a bit over $300. If you choose this contractor, maybe seek elsewhere for concrete work. I can't really speak for anything else if I can be honest. All in all, I do work in and around my home to a point. I'm completely fine with admitting when certain work should involve a "pro" rather than myself. Although I will not say I could have done a better job, I think for someone that never poured concrete before, the end result would have probably been the same as this job.
Response from Uzis Contracting
"We had gone out to correct the matter on the steps as well the day before the weather came customer was told not to use the steps. Which needed time to cure. It was explained in detail to not do anything on or around the steps. When I went back to remove the form some of the concrete needed spots filled which has been done. The customer had placed salt on the main landing for the door which also made the first step flake and damage it before it was cured. The steps we washed down and then applied [Member Information Removed] concrete, we could not do anything with the rains prior to correcting the issues."

Overall, it was ok besides all the bumps in the road. The only thing I didn't like was that when he said he was coming by to discuss the job he never shows up. To him everything that went wrong can be fixed. But I feel that if it was done correctly the first time he doesn't have to worry about fixing it. Another situation was that I had put blue tape on some tiles because they were popping every time I walked over them and his workers removed the tape. Also I have requested invoices to be submitted to my insurance company and it took him over 6 weeks to provide me with invoices. So in reality I been paying out of my pocket which shouldn't have been the case in the first place. So now I have to wait until I get the money from my insurance to pay the rest of the job.
Response from Uzis Contracting
"All the corrections have been made. The customer made many complaints and each issue has been resolved. Project has been delayed by the customer herself and has violated the contract several times. Has not paid on time and has harassed my staff since day 1. The customer still owes money and I’ll be placing a lien on her house."

Uziyah and his team gutted and renovated a vacant apartment I have in Brooklyn. I had a tenant there for 8 years and it was time to renovate and modernize the unit, making it fit for the tenants coming in from abroad. I would hire and recommend this company.

He was good. He was on time. He kept his word. There was one to two things that wasn't done the way I imagine and he came back the next day to make it to perfection. He's a man of his word.
