Valley Outdoor Design

I was very excited to find a company in the same town as our house that could remove leaves (and, in theory, be available for other lawn services in the future). Unfortunately, I was left extremely disappointed. After reaching out to Greg for a quote and being told he'd call back in two days, I heard nothing. I called again and was told, "I must have written your address down wrong." (Although he had my phone number, so I'm not sure why he didn't call for the correct address). I got the quote and it was a fair price (the same that I've paid another service in the past) so I gave the green light. We talked about how some of the leaves would likely be frozen to the ground given the recent weather, which I expected...my expectations were realistic based on others I've hired in the past. While most of the leaves were cleared a few days later, none of the leaves alone our fence and behind our shed were touched. To be clear, these were loose, unfrozen piles that were just left behind by Valley Outdoor. Giving Greg the benefit of the doubt, I called immediately and left a message asking if the truck had gotten full and if they were going to come back to finish the job. I then emailed him through the website asking the same question. The only response I received was an email with the invoice. I responded to that email. This time I asked whether the truck had filled and if they were planning to finish...or if he was going to adjust the invoice since the work was incomplete. In that email, I attached a video that walked him through the untouched section (see photo). My hope was Greg didn't do the work himself, didn't realize his crew didn't finish the job, and would address my question. I got no response to that email and video, so I left one final voicemail. Still no reply. I mailed in a partial payment, documenting my experience, and once again included my phone so Greg could contact me if he wanted to salvage a new client relationship. The check was cashed, and I've received no calls or emails. The price was competitive (A). The job was incomplete, however, so a (C) seems like a fair grade for Quality. I had to chase him for the quote, so (C) for punctuality. Otherwise, Valley Outdoor Design has to be given failing grades since they wouldn't provide basic customer service when I followed up with a question about whether they were going to finish the job.

Greg was extremely easy to work with, and got the job done quick and efficiently. He took his time with his work, and he made sure it was done to perfection. I absolutely love my fire pit, and my yard looks incredible. Thank you Valley Outdoor Design for your work, I will most definitely be calling Greg again!

Valley Outdoor Design did a very nice job of aerating our lawn and reseeding it, they arrived when they said they would and are always very quick to respond and very polite in doing so. They were forthcoming with lots of information regarding looking after our grass in order to obtain the best results. They have also been cutting our grass and tidying up, I will definitely use them many more times, great job.

Greg trimmed a hedge that divides two properties. Price was very reasonable.
