Horrible!!!! Initially I gave this lousy company an A but today my roof leaked for the 4th time since Bob Laurendi's company did the work. He"fixes" it but it still leaks. The roof he replaced was almost 40 years old and had a very small leak in one spot. He told me the last time that zI would have to pay if it leaked again. ***? You need to warn people never to do business with this jerk because he obviously doesn't know what to do.

Bob arrived promptly. He went on the roof, inspected. We discussed the leak problem that we were having. He patched areas that could be contributing to the leak. 3 weeks before any significant rain fall. Then it rained buckets. No leaks. Bob's a genius. <br />

We bought a deal on Angie's list for a roof inspection that included fixing minor issues. They came within a week of paying for the deal and were prompt, efficient and totally fixed the leaking roof issues we had been having. They also gave us general information about the quality of our roof and what issues we might expect over the years. Great service, we would definitely use them again. <br />

The 35-yr old roof of our co-op tenement building was failing after years of patches and temporary fixes. Several contractors proposed installing a modern thermoplastic commercial roof sealing layer over the old roof. We also had a few other jobs that needed doing on the roof. Vandelay's proposal and pricing were competitive yet realistic. *Everything* for the job had to be approved by the co-op Board; Bob was extremely patient and diligent about answering all questions, explaining and personally demonstrating to Board members what work would be done. When worked was finally Board-approved,it proceeded quickly and finished within the promised time frame. Our roof is now leakproofed withe a 30-year guarantee, we have a nice new skylight, and our rain drain is working again. . <br />

Vandelay's team was very professional and arrived on time both days. Not only did Bob explain exactly what I needed but he also provided before and after pictures. Its been 4 months and not a leak (which is great). Not only did he provide me with a 10 year "manufacturer's" warranty Bob also gave me a 2 year "craftsman" warranty. Will definitely recommend Vandelay to neighbors and family. Am very satisfied. <br />

To many other roofers in the NYC Greater region- take note, Vandelay has you beat by quite a bit in terms of understanding a client and the particular needs of the job. I went through a half dozen estimates and site visits; Vandelay and one other contractor where the only ones who were able to produce a timely, considered estimate. And this was in the down season! <br /> Regarding the job itself. It presented several unknowns that Bob and his crew were able to work through and develop solutions to in a timely manner. The demo went smoothly as well as the new installs and final flashing and chalking details. At this point, the new roof has been through several storms and seems to be doing quite well. If there is a problem, Bob seems more that capable to address per the contract, which I certainly appreciate. <br /> Its clear he has a lot of experience doing what he knows, and doing it well. He has good intuition and understanding of a job and the individuals and characters that might be involved, and how to work with them effectively (including myself likely :) <br /> I've been through a couple of roof jobs at this point on various structures, and felt confident with Bob throughout the job; there were no instances that I felt were be minimized or neglected. And importantly for a Condo building in NYC, Bob's crew made sure that they premise was CLEANER than when they left which is often a big deal with testy unit owners. <br /> Overall, very pleased with both the estimation process, keeping on budget and timeframe and delivering a sound roof in material and craftmanship. Highly recommended. <br /> <br /> <br />

Bob Laurendi and his Vandelay Roofing team are an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were very responsive to my inquiry regarding my roofing needs, coming over and inspecting the existing roof within three (3) days of my first telephone call. At that time, Bob explained the various options I should consider in installing a new (flat) roofing system, including cost variances and environmental considerations. When I made my decision regarding the system I wanted, Bob told me he would have a formal quote to me within the week. <br /> Less than a week later, Bob sent over his proposal and simple contract; I made one or two revisions to the specifications, which he readily accepted, and we scheduled the work for two or three weeks later. Right on time, he and his crew called and advised me of their intent to start work the following day. They worked over two (2) days, removing the old roofing system, repairing the wood sheathing where necessary, and installing the new TPO roofing system I had decided upon. They worked quickly, efficiently, and cleanly, photographing every aspect of their work for my review. <br /> I heartily recommend Vandelay Roofing to anyone seeking the best professional roofing service available today. <br />
