It was fine. Nothing in particular stood out about them. If I had more work of that kind to do I would use this company again. They were responsive and professional.

Vargas Landscaping & Maintenance did an excellent job. They had the machine grind the stumps and the price was reasonable.

Nato came on a Thursday and did an initial estimate. He was very clear that the garden would look a little bare for a few weeks as he'd have to cut things back pretty far. His estimate was 1/2 that of the other companies we talked to, and he was willing to come on the weekends, which made things much easier for us. He came back just three days later (on a Saturday) and two of his men spent 8 hours here. They left with a truck overflowing with trimmings, and even removed a small tree for us. Nato supervised them at the beginning and end, and the team was great to work with (we were working in the front yard while they were in the back) - extremely helpful and courteous. Total bill was just what he said - $500. We also gave each of the two guys a tip (though we were never asked to do so and I didn't even detect a hint of expecting one). The cleanup looks great though, as he cautioned, things are a little barren while we wait for them to grow back. For large cleanup jobs, this company is excellent. Though I use an all organic company for regular maintenance now (I would use Nato if I was not so into organic gardening), I will certainly call Nato and his team for the next large job. Highly recommend.

Splendidly! The work took 3 weeks from the first day, which is exactly how long he estimated. I cannot praise Nato Vargas and his crew enough. They were here working everyday, without fail from 8am to 5pm. At the end of each day they carefully closed the gates and left the place clean and organized. Nato Vargas was always available - every time I needed to talk to him he answered his phone immediately. On more than one occasion my husband and I changed our minds about various things in the plans and Nato was extremely positive and willing to do exactly what we wanted and offered his suggestions for the design as well. He was more than fair when negotiating prices. I have never had a more pleasant experience with a project of this proportion. I interviewed 5 landscape contractors for this project and chose Nato because he had the most competitive bid and was very punctual and courteous and professional. Nato has earned my respect as an excellent landscape contractor and businessman. I will recommend him to all my friends. I wish I could add a photo - I will try.

We were looking for a landscaper and Antonio was one of those we interviewed. We gave him the job and he was great and still does our maintenance.

Nato and his team were prompt, professional, and worked at a very reasonable price. He was not much for providing a detailed written contract, which made me very anxious. However, he was a good as his word and met his schedule as promised. The job required 10 circuits on a double lot filled with mature and dense landscaping and lots of pathways to cross under. We were impressed - in fact surprised - with how it was all done with minimal disruption to the plantings and it was almost invisible when it was complete. Well done, Nato!

We bought a 'fixer-upper' and of all the contractors (and we have worked with A LOT on this house) he is the top. He is prompt, he always follows through, his team works hard and gets the job done fast and well. If there are any concerns he comes out personally and takes care of them immediately. He is flexible and thinks on his feet. His pricing is very reasonable. There wasn't a thing that we didn't like about working with Nato and team. He is our official go to guy for landscaping and other projects. We trust Nato, his work and recommendations to us We would definitely recommend him to our friends. My husband found him on Angie's list and it was one of the best finds we have had in the 3 years we owned the house.

We were very pleased with Nato. He was professional, showed up on time, completed the job on time and also gave us some suggestions. We hired his company to do ongoing landscaping maintenence. We would hire Nato again and recommend him.

A great and very professional experience from start to finish. Nato and his crew from the first day to the last arrived on time, worked very hard, cleaned up every day after themselves, knew what they were doing, worked with us on design changes, provided suggestions that were value added and always respectful of the original design. It was a real pleasure to work with people that are very respectful and professional. Even thought we had a lot more rain than is expected for this time of the year, they continued to work and finished on time!! I cannot stress how easy it was to work with these people! I would not think of hiring anyone else and intend to hiring them again for our next project!

I am re-landscaping my yard and had used Nato before for a small project and he did a good job for me so I asked him to bid this project. His price was competitive. He and his crew arrived promptly, completed the job on time and did quality work. I installed some irrigation lines and landscape lighting conduit during their job and I was pretty slow and it delayed them from filling in their trenches. Nato and his crew were very patient and Nato actually helped me at one point since I was such rookie. My landscape architect wanted the drains to be done a certain way and while it was not the usual way Nato did drains he was fine doing it the way that was requested. I would definitely use him again and told him to use me as a reference.

Very well, Nato sent a good crew, they were very professional, timely and did quality work. I plan to have Nato bid on other work at my home.

We previously hired a contractor to install the sprinker/irrigation system. The same day the system was turned on, the pipe burst. The contractor promised to fix it right away; he started the repair job, but never finished it. After trying unsuccessfully for more than a week to get that contractor finish the paid-for job (which he had said could be done in less than a day), we gave up, and called Nato of Zarco Landscaping. It was a small project. But Nato came out for an estimate the same day we called him, and got the job done the next day. He was responsive, punctual, professional, and the job was well done. He was significantly more expensive than the previous contractor, but we were happy to pay more for good, solid service.

We were very pleased with Nato and his crew. They were prompt and worked all day for 2 days. The brickwork looks like it has always been there. They matched the existing pattern and had to take into account the slope and lift of the existing patio (it's 20 years old!) in making the bricks fit seamlessly. We would use Zarco Landscaping again!

Extraordinary! It went so well we are planning on continuing to the back.

They did an excellent job and were fast and clean. Nato is also an incredibly nice guy and their prices were very reasonable. I have already asked him to come back and do re-do our front porch.

We love Nato! He worked with me as I changed my mind about rocksfor the walls and stepping stone walkway and where I wanted plants to be located. He brought samples of rocks for me to see in person and he and his team did a beautiful job. We get compliments all the time. Nato also spoke up when he had suggestions (and we usually implemented) and always respected our wishes. He was friendly, totally responsive and he and his team are extremely hard workers. We had a wonderful experience and hired his team on to do continuing maintenance. If we do more work in our back yard, we will turn to Nato first.

Work looked initially good but turned out the details were missing. Did not know the level of placing sod as the sprinkler heads were low. Did not know the plants as which would be good in the sun or shade. Planted some too low in the ground and died. Some plants are now dying due to wrong location or not enough potting soil. Now reworking some plants to correct mistakes due to lack of knowledge of plants.

They did a great job. Prompt, flexible, and very easy to work with. All the employees were hard-working and the job was finished in one day. I was home but did not need to provide extra direction after the initial work plan was discussed.

It can't get any better. We love his crew. They did something that will last us for years. The quality of work is simply remarkable.

Nato met with us at our home multiple times to clearly define the scope of work and our expectations. He was willing to meet with us at times that worked with our busy schedules. His estimate for the job was $5K-$10K less than the two other estimates that we had received. The crew showed up on time, was respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. The brick and concrete work turned out especially nice. Nato was very flexible and patient when we decided to change the walkway design mid project. We selected plants based on his suggestions and by researching in books that he provided. We went with him to the nursery to select the individual plants. He also included some small jobs at no extra charge. The entire job took about 10 days not including Sundays. After the completion of the project we had some initial issues with our sprinklers that ZARCO quickly took care of. Nato is a flexible, honest and hardworking guy. We will definitely call him again when considering future landscaping projects.

This was a very good experience. We had to wait about a week longer than at first expected because his previous client kept adding work. Nato does not leave a job unfinished, but we didn't mind at all because we knew he'd stick with our job until it was done as well. Besides things were moving pretty quickly even so. His team is very friendly and all smiles, though all communication goes through Nato, which works out well. He was very cooperative with any small changes we requested. The paver seams are nice and tight, even around the circular concrete bases we installed beforehand in preparation for a pergola my husband built subsequently over the patio. The overall quality of his team's work is very good. His price was middle of the road (not lowest, not highest) and though expensive for us personally, was well worth the price. Seeing how hard his team worked each day (3-5 guys for two weeks) and the excellent quality of work. Quite frankly, I wish every contractor I worked with was like Nato, which is the greatest compliment I can give.

Nato was prompt in showing up for appointments, was totally conscientious and cooperative with every stage of the process from the first appointment through the 90-day maintenance follow-up period. He and his entire crew were always pleasant and anxious to do a good job, even giving time to include me in shopping for some plants and flagstones.

Nato did an excellent job. The backyard was completely clean and organized each evening. They did this job in record time. Furthermore, Nato has been extremely accommodating considering our problems with our neighbors and property lines. He was the perfect professional when our neighbor decided to come onto our property and start yelling at Nato about the replacement of our fence. There were a few things that needed to be added to the job and a few that needed to be adjusted. Nato was great with those request also. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again especially since he prices were so utterly reasonable.

Excellent. Very prompt in arriving for a survey and estimate. Started the work less than a week after that, and continued to work each day until it was finished. The results are wonderful. Nato is very friendly and knowledgeable, and has a great crew.
