Poor overall satisfaction Was very concerned about transparency... receipts and breakdown of labor was not given. Have to spent more more money redoing cabinets that don’t even have handles on them to open.

They were flexible and accommodating to change the plans. On some things we felt they did a good job but on others not so good.

They did a fantastic job. They were very great to work with and they went above and beyond. Cleaned up very nicely. Were very personable, and were always on time.

 Initial work was good, installation timely and workers were generally neat. Salesperson extremely friendly. There was a problem with their electrician disconnecting my air conditioning, but I was able to reconnect it myself after some investigation. Work was completed in early July.  The company was very responsive UNTIL I PAID THEM IN FULL. Now I can't even get a call back and they are not standing by their one year warranty. <br /> In the fall, I went to turn off the shutoff valve to the outside water tap via the access panel and was unable to turn it because the basement ceiling was jammed up against the turnoff valve.  It took 3 phone calls to get them to come out and fix it.  I was very concerned that the water tap would freeze and leak in the basement. At that time, I mentioned that there was a crack in the corner of the basement walls that they constructed.  I told them it was ok to wait on this and fix it after the winter, when everything had settled and while the work was still under the one year warranty. <br /> I called them in May 2014 to ask them to come fix the wall.  In addition, there was a nail pop to be fixed, the access panel was extremely tight and difficult to get off, I found a broken light fixture and I had noticed that the walls at the top of the staircase were rough and needed to be sanded and repainted.  I got a call back from the salesperson who said they would be out soon to fix it. <br /> Nobody came.  I called again in July and left message that it hadn't been fixed.  Salesperson called me back, very upset it hadn't been fixed and said someone would be out in the next week.  Still nobody has come. <br /> I've called every week since then (sometimes twice a week) and left messages, as well as e-mailed them.  My phone calls and e-mails have not been answered as of today, September 12, 2014. <br /> To stand by their warranty would have involved 1/2 day of work maximum, a gallon of paint and a $15 light fixture.  I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. <br /> <br /> <br />

Serge and his team were always on time, completed the job much quicker than originally quoted, and always cleaned up before leaving each day.  Everything they did was very professional.  I would highly recommend this company. <br />

Cita and Serge did a first-rate job for us. They delivered a great new feel for our house - on time and on a tight budget. <br /> <br /> From providing a detailed estimate to final cleanup, they were reliable, professional, and courteous. <br /> <br /> Cita was a great help in selecting materials and finishes, providing excellent guidance in working through the many choices to be made. <br /> <br /> Serge led all the work himself and was on site the vast majority of the time. When electrical service problems required extra work, his crew worked through the weekend without complaint. He made helpful recommendations, but left big decisions to us after he provided the facts and his opinion. <br /> <br /> They also stand by their work and word. A couple of minor problems came to light after the job was done, and they were quick and effective in taking care of those. <br /> <br /> A kitchen remodel is immensely disruptive and a bit stressful simply due to the inconvenience. Serge made sure to stage work to provide the best practical interim solutions and to get services and appliances working as soon as possible. In addition he and his crew are simply good people to have around.

We enjoyed working with Cita and Serge again.  Cita helps with the front office and the overall design and would meet us at each supplier to begin the selection process. She gave us helpful suggestions on selection of the materials, but ultimately left the choices up to us. Serge also has a critical eye and was a good voice of reason. Serge and Ray worked hard each day and always cleaned up each day to put the house back into some semblance of order. The work was done fastidiously and with personal pride and completed in a very short time frame. They did not demolish until supplies had arrived, and kept some of the appliances functioning as long as possible, even by reinstalling in a temporary condition. They are friendly people and easy to work with. Everyone likes our kitchen when they see it.

Very well. They were responsive to my calls and very helpful in the planning process. They did a good job of staying in touch with me. Once on the job, the workers were quick and courteous and professional. Once they got going, I had a few changes to the plans and they willingly went with my new ideas. Cita helped steer me through the design process, which was difficult as this was my first big remodel. Serge did some excellent unusual carpentry work to make a custom cabinet. I highly recommend Ventura!

    I searched over a month on Angie's list for a contractor and met with at least three contractors for an estimate and to gauge how receptive the contractors were to my needs.  I finally settled with Ventura Remodeling after a visit from Serge and Cita.  They were pleasant and understood exactly what needed to be done.  I signed a contract with them in mid-May 2010 and they told me that they were going to start soon because they had a large project coming up and they were just finishing up another.  Serge estimated that time to complete the project to be 7-10 days.  This was important since I only have 1 1/2 baths and both will be renovated.  I had also explained that I took the entire month of May off from work to be available during this remodel.     Their other project became delayed and they did not start until about June 2010.  The estimated time for completion then became "about 2 weeks" and then finally three weeks.  They did not finish the project until four weeks later on July 12, 2010.     Initially, the remodel went well.  Serge was very careful about putting plastic sheeting over the carpet and cleaned up every night as promised.  However, I noticed that his workers had used some of my personal tools to complete their tasks (i.e. wrecking bar, carpenter's square, etc) and didn't even put the items back where they found them.  During the middle of the renovation, they were inadvertently locked out of my house.  I was out of town at the time and didn't receive the messages until several hours later.  However, my neighbor also called me and said that she and two other people witnessed the tile guy and the other workers pushing up and against my garage door forcefully to the point where damage was obvious.  When I returned home, I did notice damage to my garage door and brought the issue up with Serge.  Serge asked his tile guy and the other workers if they did push on the garage door and they denied doing so.  I also pointed out the damage to the garage door panel and he said that it appeared to be old damage.    Towards the end of the remodel, I noticed damage in the kitchen ceiling which was consistent in the area where the damage was to the half bath.  It appeared that during the renovation of the upstairs bathroom, the workers punched through the corner of the kitchen ceiling.  I pointed this out to Serge and once again he stated that this was old damage.  I insisted that it was not and he patched the area up with some spackle.     At the end of the remodel, I inquired if the tiles and grout were sealed (I contacted the tile shop where the tiles were purchased and they said that sealant was a must) and Serge said that the tiles did not need to be sealed.  I did a little more research and everything that I read/heard strongly suggested that the tiles should be sealed.  I contacted Serge again and asked him if he would seal the tiles.  Serge said, "no" at first, but then later agreed to seal the tiles.  He also asked that I leave the final payment when he came back to seal the tiles.  When I came home from work, the check was gone and I could not tell if the tiles were sealed or not.     I felt that the project ended on a very bad note in that I was extremely frustrated and angry because the incidents became a "he-said-she-said" situation.  Serge even went so far to blame his partner, Cita, for some of the issues that came up (regarding timing, budget, etc.).     Overall, Serge and Cita completed the work I asked for (and even went beyond by installing a doorbell and a light fixture; they also upgraded the countertop to granite "at no fee"), but I felt that I should have had a better experience.  Looking back, I would like to say that it was worth the cost, but since they wouldn't provide an itemized statement (they charge per job, not per hour), I guess I'll never know.

They were very professional. They reviewed everything ahead of time. They stated exactly what they were going to do. They fixed the price and they did not change it. They did a few extra things and more importantly the work was very much quality work. The reason I know them is because they did my parents patio and they did a nice job there. They did good work. It was a good price. They did everything in a timely fashion. I would use them in the future.

The results look great. Cita was helpful in helping me choose the design. Serge and his crew worked on Saturdays. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship were outstanding. Serge phoned with project updates. They also did extra touches which were above and beyond like installing the appliances (not in our contract) and meeting the installers so I did not have to leave work. My home was in good shape in their hands. They even were great with my cat. I will hire them again in the future.

Cita was prompt and helpful in every way. The home looks like new! We definitely would use her services again. Getting approval on a loan was slow, because of new regulations; this caused an unanticipated delay in doing the work.

Ventura Remodeling Inc was a pleasure to work with Cita and Serge helped us with the complete design work for our kitchen which was not an easy project to design. Cita assisted me with all the material selections which turned out beautifully. Serge is a master builder with incredible craftsman skills. Both Cita and Serge made sure our kitchen project met all our expectations. We could not have chosen a better company and would recommend them to everyone.

Ventura Remodeling was an absolute pleasure to work with. Serge and Cita were very professional and personable from the start. Intitially, Cita assisted me with all the material selections and did a great job keeping me within my budget. I was completely statisfied with all of my material selections. Serge and his team worked dilligently to complete the remodel from start to finish, and they created a unique and efficient design. I left Ventura Remodeling in charge with total access to my home while I was on vacation. I don't have words that discribe how pleased and excited I was upon my return to see such a wonderful kitchen. This is a company I trust implicitly and look forward to doing business with them for many years to come!

We had one little mix-up on the scheduling, but that was my fault. They came right out when they said they would and did the estimate. They were very professional. I showed them everything I wanted to do and they answered all my questions.

They were definitely an A; they were very good. I would use them again in the future.

We were very pleased with the final product. Serge and Cita were a pleasure to work with and we would love to work with them again in the future. Ventura's bid came in a little higher than the other bids we received, but we felt that they were very personable and seemed much more willing to go the extra effort to give our bath the unique touches that we were wanting-and they did!

Excellent workmanship. I am detailed oriented and can honestly say that everything was done extremely well. I have recommended Ventura remodeling to my friends and family.

Cita and Serge were great to work with in all phases, from start to finish. We interviewed four contractors and they were one of the two finalists. We went with them based on Angie's List reviews and a gut feeling or vibe that they were who we wanted to hire. We made the right choice. They used their expertise to help focus our choices in bringing a 1970s kitchen into the 21st century as well as matching the details (woodwork, door trim, etc.) with the rest of our older Arts & Crafts home. The overall plan accomplished our goals, their suppliers were professional, helpful and friendly and offered plenty of choices on materials. The work went smoothly and on schedule, and Serge and Cita were always reachable if questions arose (Serge and a helper were there every day doing the work; there was no anonymous crew who invaded the house every morning). There were very few surprises, and we easily worked out the inevitable snags that come up when undertaking such a project. They limited the pain by keeping the kitchen sink hooked up through about 99 percent of the project and even brought in temporary countertops so we could at least get some use out of the kitchen as things proceeded. Serge and Cita are very professional but also work on a more personal level, as well. By the time they were finished, our dog was best friends with Serge, and once Serge even played soccer with the neighborhood kids in the back yard. Folks are blown away when they see the results of our remodel, and I would glady recommend Ventura to anyone looking to have any type of remodeling done, kitchen or otherwise.

First, we had the bathroom remodeled in the late summer, the owners are very easy to work with and great maintaining communication from beginning to end. The bathroom was completed in 6 days once work began. Unlike many contractors that my family has used in past projects, the workers were present and working from 8-9 am every day until anywhere from 5-7 and on Saturday. We were so pleased with the end result that we had our kitchen remodeled beginning around Thanksgiving. From start to finish, once work began, the process took 2.5 weeks, with workers again there for long hours every day of the week. In both jobs, the main contractor was present with the workers for most of every day. The end result on both projects is amazing, especially in the kitchen.
