Verengo did the installation. The installation seemed to have been fine. Unfortunately after the recent heavy rains we found out that the panels had been installed improperly. This resulted in the complete collapse of the ceiling in our house in one bedroom and ancillary damage in others. They sold the lease on our panels to a company called SunRun. They sent out several people to look at the roof over time and put up tarps to temporarily protect the house. All of these people (their people) told us the solar panels had been installed improperly and this caused the damage. Unfortunately one of the groups that installed the tarps installed the tarp incorrectly and attached it to the ceramic tile capstones on top of the roof. When the wind started blowing hard, the tarp came off and it pulled off a bunch of these tiles. We found the tarp and the clips that were holding the tarp, as well as several of the tiles in our pool later. After all this, SunRun sent out their insurance companies adjuster. He told us SunRun was in fact responsible for the damage. They agreed to pay for all the damage, except for remediation. This means they are trying to say it is our fault our house had damage and may need some types of remediation. It seems odd that they agree that they are responsible for all the damage, but they say they are not responsible for remediation of other problems the damage may have caused like mold, etc. If you are thinking about getting solar panels for your home, beware! Make sure you include the possible damage and destruction that can be done to your home by faulty installation and the irresponsibility of the companies that own your lease. One last note. They are not supposed to charge a monthly fee if the solar panels do not produce a certain amount of electricity. They have been charging us every month. The solar panels have not worked for months, but they continue to bill us. I have never had a worse experience with a company. They admitted complete responsibility but they refuse to make things right.

We were had. We were sold the panels, they didn't work properly or save money. A Verengo engineer came to the house later and said we never should have gotten them; we didn't have enough exposure to the sun. When we contacted the then-CEO, he said our house wasn't right for the panels but the mistake was part of the company's "growing pains." No sorry, no refund (partial or otherwise). Just tough: it's your problem. This has causes us thousands of dollars.

Unhappy with My original Contractor , I contacted these folks to see if they serviced other Companies Installations. After being assured that they were the proper choice. I accepted the Large Service Fee because I'm a believer that you get what you pay for. <br /> What I got was an attempt to sell me a new system Saying there was nothing to be done to fix mine. <br /> My System is being repaired by another Company as I type this. This was Nothing more than an expensive lesson of a 1hr. Service call by two Techs (one qualified) arguing with each other. This was an Upsale pure and simple. I'll pay the bill, but Be Careful with these folks. There are better choices to service your system. <br /> <br /> <br />

There are many factors that do play into the cost of the system and what you will be charged per kilowatt hour. We try to get you the lowest rate possible since that will provide you with the biggest of savings. Looking at your agreement, it appears that the solar system was to cover a majority of your historical usage. Since the rate you pay for the solar production is locked in and you know exactly what you will be charged every month for the duration of your solar agreement, you get the luxury of not having to pay much of the utilities ever increasing rates. They were an "A". The price was, I actually called around a couple different companies, so I'd give it an "A". The quality was a "B" because they had actually come out. There was a short one of the thing, the guy actually was just here today to fix it and the system wasn't running for about a month. Because of that, the only reason I noticed it is I have in the log on and see that the system didn't seem to be generating any energy. So, actually I have to call them to talk to them about that part of it. When we did have that problem, they were out here pretty quick. I have the system installed on my house so I would use them. I would recommend them to somebody else definitely.
