About us
I inspect houses as if it were for my own family. I specialize in first time home buyers. With all buyer, I consider three factors; my years of experience, your needs and the specifics of the house to be inspected. With all three of those categories covered, you will have a great experience. Having conducted more than 14,500 inspections since 1995, I am highly trained and a professional licensed home inspector. My criteria for "highly trained" is hands on training and experience in electric, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and general construction. In short, I have had hands on experience in all phases of general contracting. Yearly training and continuing education are also required for continuing certification. We are one of the oldest inspection companies in New Jersey. Computerized reports with pictures are sent out within approximately 24 hours. View Master Home Inspections is one of several home inspection companies (that we know of) that performs abandoned oil tank property scans at steeply discounted prices with a home inspection. We also perform free termite inspections with a home inspection. We cover the north half of NJ. I worked in the real estate construction industry from 1974 to 1994. In 1995 I felt the need for a change and decided to put my experience to work in a related field. I thought, what better than home inspections. I decided not to leave the construction field entirely for the next couple of years and incorporated home inspections into my work week. After performing both services for two years I was receiving so much praise as an inspector that I quit the construction field entirely. My ability to evaluate a home properly has sustained me through the real estate market crash when many inspection companies went out of business. I have once again expanded my field by becoming a real estate agent in 2011. The three occupations I have discussed has given me more experience than most others in the inspection and real estate fields.

"Once again I am apologizing for missing the oil tank. I was there when the tank was removed and I did meet with the removal company and the town who inspected to certify the removal. You were out of the country at the time. As far as the French drain is concerned, it was not a French drain, it was a plastic pipe to redirect the rainwater from the gutter. The Oil tank company had no choice but to disturb it because the tank was partially buried beneath it. The oil tank company stated that they would repair it. I asked you to contact them because they needed your permission to access the property and make the repairs. I am sorry that you perceived my efforts as non caring even though I paid over $2,000 for the tank removal. The company could not access your property with my permission to make repairs, they needed yours. It would have only been a phone call to them which would have been a small effort."
"I am sorry that you were not pleased with the inspection. The report indicates that the attic has fiberglass insulation and the attic also requires ventilation. Under structural page, it mentions entering the garage attic and finding some rotted structural wood components. The roof was only 12 years old which is less than an average life expectancy of 30 years or more. There was no obvious reason for it to be changed. I may have missed some tape on the sink drain. Sometimes cabinets beneath sinks are so cluttered it is hard to see all the items. As far as the rodents are concerned, if there were any mouse droppings they would have been noted in the report. Anything can happen to a house from when the home inspection is done to when a buyer takes occupancy, which usually takes a few months."
