V & J Contracting & Roofing was one of 8 companies that I contacted to get quotes to build a deck off my back porch to the pool we had installed in the fall the year before. Being the 1st time we needed to hire a professional to come in for a major build we were quite nervous. Jason came out to site the deck and take measurements. I felt good after meeting him personally. My wife and I were happy with the quote. Jason was very quick to return any call ore text I sent him. I was at work the week they worked on my deck and my wife was at home. Everyone there was considerate and treated my family nice. The deck come out beautiful and was exactly as we wanted. The only negative thing with the deck experience was something that was not in the control of any one and it was the rain that pushed the build back, however Jason was in contact with us and we were kept informed of this and all. My whole family enjoyed the deck all summer. We were happy built the price, the build and the crew themselves. When It is time for our next project Jason will be my 1st call.

Perfect. This is too easy. It has gone perfectly for ten or twelve years, no problems. I have recommended them to neighbors who have also used them and everyone has been happy.

Overall, very pleased with the work and would hire them again. There were a few minor fixes that were needed at the end but nothing unexpected given the size of the project.

V&J's owner met with me to review the scope of the project and was very helpful in discussing options for materials and various project considerations. Once we agreed upon contract terms, we agreed on a start date for the work and his personnel began work on that date. V&J's personnel did a great job. They worked hard, were great craftsmen, paid attention to detail, kept me informed about progress and issues, and were a pleasure to deal with. I am very happy with V&J's work, would look forward to using them again and will recommend/refer them to others.

From the very start, Jason was very responsive to all of my questions and walked me step by step through the entire process. He was able to maximize the use of the space we had to work with and his crew built us an amazing deck. Even our building inspector said V & J would build us a great deck and he was right. I highly recommend their work. <br />

They had a crew of workers that each took on their specific task on the project.  First removing carpeting, floors in bathrooms and old hardwood floor in kitchen and entrance ways.  Very professionally handled throughout the project.  Very skilled workers.   <br /> They also painted our closet doors.  Fixed a wall and painted where needed.  Great job with that. <br /> Removed all carpeting from steps and also did a great job with hardwood floors on the steps.  New banisters for steps were installed.  Stained and finished.  Beautiful. <br /> Decent size project took them approximately 8 to 9 days. <br /> Not only do they do excellent exterior work on houses but fantastic job with inside work. <br />

I bought this as a package of f "The Big Deal".  My biggest problem was a gap under the front door at my rental property.   My tenant told me that this is much better.  For many of my windows, they told me they were too old and would have to be replaced which is probably legitimate.  They sent me a quote which I considered on the high side from past experience so I did not use them for that.  They were prompt and professional. <br />

This the second time I've worked with Jason, He replaced windows on the second floor and installed sofia and fascia on  front and back porch back in 2012. Did a great job and cost me only 10K. So I used him again on a bigger project, new kitchen and downstairs bathroom as well as replace the ceiling in the living room. I did the demo on kitchen and bathroom myself to save some bucks, but he came in laid everything out and how long the project would take. He started on time and as we moved through the construction, I made several changes which he accommodated without issue and gave me a clear price adjustment on the additional services. He brought everything up to code in both bath and kitchen and his plumber and electrician were there on time to keep project on schedule. Start to finish was 4-5 weeks. This was my daughter's house and I plan to use him for my kitchen remodel next year. <br /> Price was great and affordable (22K) and his crew were all great guys. <br /> If your getting quotes, get one from this guy, by far cheaper than most contractors. <br />

It was ok. I had a Big Deal. I had the service about a month after I bought it, but that was my scheduling, not theirs. This is a young company. He went out of his way to do what was right.

I didn't quite realize how temporary their fixes would be but they did what they promised.  They were very helpful in adjusting a lock so that the door would close after adding the weather stripping. <br />

The team did a great job. They arrived on time and were very professional. We've gotten many compliments on the room. I would definitely recommend them for all construction work.

Jason and his crew were great! They started and completed the job exactly as Jason stated in the contract. They were always on time and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this crew.

This company did a fantastic job.  They just completed the pool deck today.  They fit my job in after the person who was supposed to build the deck hurt his leg.  I am very grateful!!   I have searched long and hard to find a dependable contractor, after many bad experiences with others, I am pleased to say that I will be using them in the future.  I have already made arrangements for them to come back to repair some drywall and replace molding.   <br /> Their pricing was very reasonable and the finished product exceeded my expectations.  They cleaned up after they completed their work.  They made sure that the wood they left overnight was moved to an area so that my grass was not damaged.  I highly recommend them!

Very well.  Not much of a story to tell.  They provided good estimates and work statements,  did the work well.

They were great.  they removed all our old windows and installed our new ones with screens.  They were very clean, showed up on time.  The price was way under what all the other guys were offering. They were very punctual and left without us know they were here.
