I set out a "have a heart" trap for a few groundhogs that had decided to make a den under our screened in porch. The idea was to catch and release these animals and seal up all the holes they keep digging under my house. I borrowed a trap from someone I work with and set up the night before. Checked the trap this morning and it was empty, approximately 30 min later my husband called saying instead of the groundhog family, we caught a skunk. I called all over to numerous places and companies within my city and outside as well; and the only responses I could get were "we dont do that", "we only deal with domestic animals, not wildlife" after several "No's" my husband text me this phone number and I gave it a call. Doug answered right away and said this was something he could easily take care of. He said he could either walk me through it or he could come by and either release the skunk on site or transport it somewhere else. He also said it would be $50 to do so which I thought was extremely reasonable since I have no experience with skunks nor do I ever intend to. Doug also gave me the option of calling one more number in Oak Ridge where I live and said it was worth a shot and hopefully my tax dollars will pay for it. I called that number and they said they did not have a license do "deal with" wild animals so I decided to call Doug back and hire him. I called him around 12 noon at lunch to hire him and he got the job done by 1:48pm! Talk about fast service! He was extremely professional over the phone and via text, He was very punctual even earlier than what he originally stated, and he was very polite. I would most DEFINITELY hire him again and recommend him to all of my friends and family!

It went great they inspected our entire house then set traps. After he was sure they were gone they went under they house and got dirty cleaning up the disgusting mess that the raccoons left behind which included but wasn't limited to urine and poop. afterwords they sprayed this stuff that made my whole house smell nice.

We smelled a skunk outside and the smell would occasionally drift inside. Volunteer Wildlife Control came out and inspected our crawl space, under our screened in porch, and around the back deck. He didn't see anything but said skunks are known to wander from home to home and that he could come back so he set a trap. He left the trap out back for a few weeks but nothing ever went into the trap, but the smell wouldn't go away. The smell was very strong on one side of the deck so Doug came back out and began removing deck boards one by one until he saw a dead skunk. Doug removed the dead skunk and replaced all of the boards. Doug is so patient because I called many times complaining of the smell and he came out each time without hesitation. Doug is persistent, pleasant, friendly, and obviously loves what he does and will do anything to help you and solve the problem before it gets worse! I highly recommend Doug Ladd with Volunteer Wildlife Control!
I was able to see them in the traps, there were so many of them. He also repaired the structural damage. He cleaned out all the feces and close it off so no other animals wouldn’t be able to get back into the space at al. They were tearing off the siding and getting into the house. Six weeks after the main treatment the siding was loose and they came back out to look at it for free and didn’t notice any signs of new wildlife. I would get an A+ if I could.

Doug Ladd contacted me by phone and I told him what was happening with animals in my attic. I heard noises at night and a hole appeared in the eaves of the house. Mr. Ladd came and inspected the roof, the attic, the hole and the trees and yard adjacent to the house. He concluded that an animal or animals were gaining access to the attic by climbing a tree, crossing the roof and entering the attic through a small hole in the eaves. He also inspected inside the attic to see what signs or damage may be present. Thankfully, we acted in time so that no damage or feces or smells were present in the attic. Mr. Ladd left two baited live traps on the roof near the hole for three days. One raccoon was caught, which Mr. Ladd took away. After three days of no more animals in the traps, he repaired the hole with metal plates and finished with a coat of paint. It looks great and we have no more wild animals or noises! Mr. Ladd was very professional and thorough and knowledgeable in his job. I would heartily recommend this service to anyone.
The owner Doug was really nice and did a great job. He quoted me a price for sealing the house and for trapping the animals. I had done much of the trapping with traps loaned from animal control. I asked if he would do only the trapping and he agreed. The cost of the estimate was deducted from the cost of the service we purchased, which I appreciated.
He completed the sealing of the crawlspace on the first day, but he did not have to wood he needed to repair the garage. He purchased that and came back later in the week to complete those repairs. I have not had any problems since, but Doug told me to call if there were any problems with the repairs and he would come back to fix them.
It was a great experience. Doug is personable, easy to work with, and obviously takes pride in doing a great job. I would definitely look to him again if I have further need of pest control services.
