Master Sweep

I hired DJ in the spring of 23 and in the winter called him as I had major leaking around the chimney, he told me he would come out but never did and did not return calls or texts. I put on a new roof and had the bottom of the chimney revealed. Today I was shown by video from my roofer the shady work that DJ did. The damage it is doing to my chimney brick work, not to mention the damage to the interior of my house, and he is not returning my calls. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!! I trusted him completely, and now I am so disappointed in my myself for hiring him, and allowing myself to be taken advantage of. I am also so disappointed in him, Dennis Doran, owner of ChimneySweep. I gave him a great review and he even has pictures of my chimney and roof on his site . Ignore that review, he did a terrible job and it is causing damage to my home!

DJ is a super nice guy!

Owner of Master Sweep, DJ, was the only one of many people we have called. No one else would tackle our job. DJ treated our problem, a frozen gas valve, as his own. DJ and his team of hard working employees removed bricks from our fireplace to access the valve. Since the bricks were over 45 years old no one had a match. DJ thought of using Bricks that would match the mortar on the fireplace. He went shopping and found us beautiful bricks that really look nice! Thanks DJ! If anybody has a fireplace problem and thinks it will cost a ton of money to have it fixed, CALL DJ!! He is the answer to you problem and won't give up until it's fixed. Thank you DJ for all you did. Very good communicator and helpful person. Suggested some other things I can do to my home and also taught me how to not have a puff of black smoke come out into my home by burning newspaper first and hearing up the chimney. Went above and beyond.

DJ call to explain they were running behind at the prior customer's home, but upon arriving proceeded to clean the fireplace, He inspected the chimney as well.

DJ and Pete went above and beyond to rebuild a chimney toppled by a recent tornado! Because of a setback in the weather, they (Pete and Nick) chose to work through the weekend to get the job done. Truly appreciate them going the extra mile. The end result was better than expected! Price was fair, work area was always kept clean and the craftsmanship is amazing. Cannot say enough about how fantastic this company is!!! I definitely will recommend them to everyone!

Pete was very helpful and thorough.

They cleaned the old brick wall free of charge. They put in topsoil between the front steps and the driveway wall free of charge. They went out and purchased bricks to complete the project. I live at 5613 Dover Drive, Lisle. Feel free to inspect the front steps and the north side retaining wall.

DJ was incredibly friendly, thorough, and very knowledgeable. He repaired my chimney both inside and out. I also required the installation of a vent for my water heater as I never had a liner installed. House is well over 100+ yrs old. He kept me informed on all processes and completed work in a timely manner. His assistant Pete was as professional as DJ. I will hire Master Sweep again and recomend anyone that needs work done to use this company. 5 STAR Quality Work!!

My front steps were unsafe and needed replacing. DJ Doran accepted the challenge and designed the brick layout for new steps. He and his assistant, Pete cleared the rubbish and installed safe, sturdy and beautiful brick steps for me. DJ was extremely pleasant to work with from beginning to end of the project. He setup the schedule, explained each step of the project, allowing for questions and completed the work as planned. He and Pete were on the job early and put in a full day. It was a pleasure to have them take on the work and I highly recommend Mastersweep for any masonry project.
