We hired William Brantley to renovate two bathrooms and our living room floor in January 2023. He only showed up to work 37 hours in 6 weeks, completing approximately 35% of the work. For these 37 hours, he demanded $7,400 in payment, then claimed he couldn't finish the job because he didn't have money for gas. He claimed he had to take a job over the weekend to get more money and was supposed to come back to work the following Monday, but never came back. He left us without a usable shower in our home for 2 months while he claimed he had been hospitalized with COVID, though photos of him were posted on Facebook almost daily (not hospitalized) with captions saying things such as how hard he had been working at other contracts. In addition, we discovered he had another client order drywall, didn't use it on her job then stole it from her and sold it to us. He misrepresented himself to be a licensed contractor, which he is not. We caught him in a multitude of other lies.

"I was hired on 1/21/23 to perform work on your home and on 2/12/23 payment was requested to be made for additional materials and labor which you refused to pay . in the contract it is clearly stated that if you refuse payment at any time for any reason service can and will be stopped due to non payment. This is section 2 of the contract therefore i was forced to stop working on your project because of lack of payment . even after this happened i reached out throw text to your husband on May 18th about coming to complete the project at which time i was informed my trailer was chained on your property and i was not allowed to come get it . you were holding it there and later it was towed to by a tow company and help there at the impound lot . Also i am in fact licensed contractor and angie's dose a great job of checking all this information to make sure everything is correct. also you did not even hire me from Angie's list in the first place so i am not sure why you are on here . unfortunately due to your inability to reach out to me in a timely manner and your inability to pay as stated in section 2 of the contract i am sorry to say we had to terminate our contract with each other ."

I have approximately 30 years experience working within the construction maintenance industry and have lived in my single dwelling home for 35 years. Due to health issues I am slowly accepting the reality that I no longer can handle many general maintenance issues in maintaining my home, as I could 10 years ago. Hence I am relying more and more on contracted services through Angie's list. Recently I hired a contractor called wab renovations for two separate projects, foundation work and HVAC ductwork. The owner, Mr William Brantley Brantley, out of Newberry South Carolina provided excellent service, great quality of work and demonstrated above average knowledge and expertise within his field of construction. I found his pricing to be competitive and reasonable in his scheduled services reliable. I found that Mr brantley's team to be professional, thorough and pleasant. most importantly, he was able to communicate well and listen and understand my concerns effectively. Didn’t clean up after. Didn’t guarantee their work when outlets stopped working. Said they would get a permit on Saturday , when county offices were closed. If you hire them I would recommend getting a detailed description of all work, count outlets and ask for receipts of material purchased.

During Covid Period, Will and assistant asked first if they needed any special equipment to come in. We are older folks and they were polite cleaned and put every thing back together on my Kenmore Range. Required more training than I had to repair. I would use his company again if needed. Reasonable Rate for work done.
