I decided to purchase my firewood from Walnut Ridge Vineyard based on positive reviews from other members and limited reputable alternatives for firewood delivery (I did not want to go the Craig's List route).   <br /> The service and responsiveness was fantastic.  I called on Monday or Tuesday and they were able to deliver the wood on Thursday.  Arrived just as planned and they dropped the wood exactly where I asked them to. <br /> However, I am very disappointed with the quality of the wood.  Their website advertises "our wood has been dried for years and will not disappoint you the next time you go to light your next fire".  Well, I've burned 4-5 fires now and every single time I have trouble with the wood.  At first I thought it was just my technique, but the wood hisses and smokes excessively every time.  I have a hard time starting and maintaining strong fires. <br /> Unfortunately, I would not recommend Walnut Ridge for firewood. <br />

They were extremely responsive and professional.  I called them on 9/17/14 and they delivered the wood on 9/18/14.  Wood was delivered on a palet and very quick and easily taken off the truck and put where I wanted.  Used the wood for our new fire pit several times so far and it burns wonderfully.  Very good quality wood.  Much more wood in 1/2 cord than we have gotten from other providers.  Thanks so very much to Walnut Ridge Vineyard - we have found the place where we will always use to get our wood delivered. <br />

When I called to order wood, I got a return call immediately.  We scheduled to have the wood delivered on a Wednesday (it was a surprise Christmas present for my husband who was out of town).  I waited all day for the delivery...no one showed up.....I finally called and left a message.  Later that evening I got a call back that there was truck problem so they would deliver on Thursday (the day my husband was to return home!)  Again, I waited all day, they finally showed up around 6:00 pm......It was a very rainy day so they could not put the cord wood where I wanted to put it without totally tearing up my lawn because of the rain (the day before was a beautiful, dry cold day that was perfect for driving on my lawn.....it was also the day the wood was suppose to be delivered). I was very disappointed. <br />

<p>I found out about the cordwood sales from someone who works at the farm.  The girl was telling someone about their firewood and how it is already stacked and cut up so we decided to try them out.  I have to say the service was really great.  Usually when we order wood they bring it in the back of a pickup truck and throw it in our yard and then my husband has to stack it up himself plus I've noticed that it doesn't burn as well as it should, he usually takes about an hour to get the fire going. This wood was really nice though, it only took my husband a few minutes to get it burning and it kept going the entire night without any issues.  When they delivered our wood I was really surprised when I seen that they had it on pallets on the back of a big flatbed truck with a trailer attached to it and a fork lift machine on the trailer.  Our driveway and yard are very steep so I was nervous about them bringing the wood down the hill but the guy who was driving the machine had no problems at all bringing it in and putting it under our back deck on the patio right beside the doors that go into our basement by the fireplace.  We did give the driver a tip because we felt that he deserved it after how easy he made it for us.  They also gave us a free bottle of their bloody mary mix which was so delicious that we are ordering more for gifts and the wine we ordered is just as good.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good deal on firewood or even a good christmas gift with their wine and bloody mary mix.</p>

The service was great.  I called them around 10am and recieved my cord of wood by 1pm that same day.  When they delivered they brought the wood on 2 pallets and a machine so that they could unload the wood for me.  I did not have to stack it myself either, it was already stacked for me so all i had to do was tell them where I wanted it.  This was probably the easiest order Ive ever placed for anything.  The wood burns really well too, its not wet like alot of other wood Ive ordered before.  Great service...Thanks from a now lifetime customer (or as long as I still have a fireplace) <br />
