"Waterscapes is under contractual agreement with this member for their property. Waterscapes negotiated a reduced price with the clients and neglected to remove the detailed line items regarding the construction of the driveway project. Although the price was lowered, due to our oversight, we became responsible to complete the driveway to the original spec. Not noticing the error, we proceeded delivering a driveway based on what we thought we had agreed to in the revised contract. Unfortunately for us, it was in fact still in the contract and we had to commit to redoing the project to meet the documented terms of the signed contract at our own expense. We also moved to our next job and later found out that there were several punch list items that the clients wanted to have adjusted/corrected. This is not unusual to go back and take care of a few things to delight the customer and we were happy to commit to getting the list completed. The member would not accept our commitment that we would be back to correct the driveway at our expense and take care of the punch list. She has truly over communicated with us regarding exactly when we would be back to get this completed. We had a full schedule of contracts to execute and we knew we had to commit to her a mid-December date to try and finish this work if the weather held out. Unfortunately the weather has not held out and the temperatures are now freezing and we are expecting a large snow storm for the weekend. For all intents and purposes, it makes absolutely no good sense to lay a driveway in this weather. We missed our opportunity to correct this contract this season, but have made a serious commitment that we will be there, tentatively in mid-April when the ground has totally thawed and will complete all work to the specification of the contract. We fully admit that we did not complete the job to spec and we are committed to correcting the situation come spring. We cannot understand why the member would think that we would not do everything possible to make her happy and correct our serious oversight. We are running a business and we get our jobs based on referrals and happy customers. We screwed up on this job and we are going to do everything possible to make her a believer that Waterscapes owner Carl Campbell is a man of his word. We will deliver and cannot understand while we are still trying to make this right, she feels the need to trash our name in a public forum. Did she mention the things we did do right or the many communications we did have with her?"
"We originally performed a lawn installation in the fall of 2003, and returned again in the spring of 2004 to make some additional improvements at no additional costs. Upon completion of a job, we give all of our customers the necessary information they need to make sure their lawn grows in lush and green. We can not guarantee the success of new lawns because it is solely depended on the maintenance from the customer. Unfortunately, the member did not properly maintain his lawn and he was not happy with his results. We have been in business for over 25 years and know that there are certain customers that will never be happy. We tried working with the member as much as we possibly could, but eventually parted ways. We pride ourselves on our commitment to customer satisfaction and as you can see from our many testimonials on our website, we have a very high approval rating from our customers. We will continue to stand by our promise to work directly with our customers to ensure that all of their expectations are met and exceeded. Thank you."
