William did a great job. He told me everything that he was going to do from priming to painting the finishing touches. He was very professional and friendly. He was a stickler for detail and a perfectionist . His price for this work was very reasonable for me. I was very happy and I feel I have a new house. I will plan to ask him to do other paint jobs as they come up.

Will did an amazing job painting our home. We called Will in a panic after someone ruined our kitchen walls claiming they were a great painter... we ended up with thick drip marks on the wall, paint on the ceiling, trim, floor, everywhere! Will stopped by, immediately knew the job was not done by a professional and explained the process to correct the botched job--sanding, primer, and then repainting the ceiling and walls. Will also painted our living room, stair way, and upstairs hallway. When he told us he doesn't use tape, I didn't know what to expect... but his work blew us away! We now have a beautiful sunny yellow kitchen, a nice beachy front door, and the thresholds are shiny and new again too! We also love our newly stained and sealed deck. In a world filled with dishonest and lazy people selling their services, Will is not only honest and hardworking, but he's also detail oriented and extremely talented. You will not be disappointed by Will. He's a great communicator, always on-time, and we look forward to having him paint the exterior of our entire house next spring.

Excellent. William helped every step of the way and added valuable feedback and knowledge. The bathroom looks great. William works carefully and really takes pride in his work and workspace. We were very impressed with his attention to detail and pride in his craft. Materials were very fair if not exactly at cost and the high quality paint he used really made a difference. As we continue work on our home William will be our first call.

It went very well. William Arena is a thoughtful, ethical man who gives great value for the price. He was always on time, or called when he couldn't make it. The job was completed in a timely manner, and I was very pleased with the work he did. We are planning to have him paint the front of the building before fall.
We had a bedroom that required a lot of prep work since it hadn't been painted in over thirty years and had a good amount of wall-paper glue residue that had simply been painted over. William did a very thorough prep job which included sanding the walls with orbital sanders and priming the old, oil paint with an oil-based primer. All seams at the baseboards were caulked and minor blemishes on the walls and ceiling were filled and smoothed. The job came out beautifully, and I'm fussy. William was timely, professional and communicated well.
Will is a good guy, who means well, and he tries hard to please, but he is a bit careless, and does not have a lot of experience with other than routine tasks. And he refused to accept responsibility for a major mistake.
I hired Will to paint the ceiling in my living room, hall, and 3 bedrooms. There was a good deal of water damage in some of the rooms, and a few dents in the ceilling. He did not quite capture the technique to match the texture of the ceiling, but with some prodding and my suggestions, he kept redoing it until he got it right, generally
Apparently he never quite got the technique, because we went thru the same drill in each of the rooms. Most came out ok after a few corrections, which he performed only when prodded.
There was a bit of an issue of neatness. He managed to get a light spatter of paint on a few pieces of furniture that were uncovered, and on the floor (I did manage to get it off relatively easily, but it should have been better protected). He threw a used drop cloth over my bed when painting the ceiing, and I found the bed covered with a "dandruff" of dried paint chips. He had painted the whole living room and hall before i noticed that he had got paint on all the walls. He said "Oh, I thought you were going to paint the walls"... Well, I did paint them, but I had not been planning on it.
When he went to do the bedrooms, I told him that I was not planning on painting them, so could he please tape the walls before painting. Unfortunately, one of the rooms was wallpapered, so it really did need masking. It took nearly 2 weeks to finish that room (he was sick, then I was away...) and when he got done, and pulled the tape off, the top of the wallpaper came off with it. Not just in one spot, but all the way around the room, a colossal mess. When I asked his what he was going to do to do to fix it, his response was "Me, fix it??? it was your idea to use tape!!" Of course, he is no longer working on this job... As he was packing his stuff out, he had the nerve to claim that I fired him just because I did not want to pay him.
Actually, after repeated efforts, the work that Will did came out fine (except for things like destroying my wallpaper). Some rather severe water damage and dents were successfully covered up. I really have become quite fond of Will, and hope he finds his niche. But he does need to use more care, and to take responsibility for his mistakes.
"Mr [Member Name Removed] was a very challenging customer. With my initial consultation with Mr [Member Name Removed] it was discuseed that I would repair a few places on the ceiling that had indentations and then resurface with a sand like texture to match what has been there for the past 30 years. I properly prepared area and discovered many other indentations throughout the entire ceiling areas in the home that was not covered in our agreement. Without charge I patched those areas as well and applied the sand finish coat. Another contractor that was on site also agreed with me that it was almost impossible to match the texture that has been there for so long but I did a great job coming as close as I could. One room had very old wall paper and Mr [Member Name Removed] insisted that I use tape on the walls when painting ceilings. I reluctantly proceeded knowing it could be an issue when removing tape and Mr. [Member Name Removed] was aware of that. After finishing what I know to be a great job I removed the tape as cautiously as possible but some of the wall paper was also removed. Something we both knew was a possibilty. In conclusion, I completed many free task for Mr [Member Name Removed] including repainting a kitchen ceiling that was painted by someone else, covering water stains on the basement ceilings and patching and repairing many ceiling indentations that was not a part of our original agreement. Mr [Member Name Removed] did not pay me the full balance. I stand by my work, quality and professionalism as witnessed by my other very happy clients. Please read my other reviews."

Waters Edge showed up on time and worked with us on picking the proper stain for the fence. They managed their schedule very well working around the weather as it permitted for outdoor painting. The attention to detail and quality of the job was superb. I highly reccomend their work.
It had been nearly 20 years since the interior of my very old house had been painted, so there was a lot of prep work to do to repair cracks and such. William spent a lot of time doing this and it shows in the final result which is excellent. He is very good about showing up on time and communicating about scheduling etc. He takes a lot of pride in his work and pays careful attention to detail. In addition he is a genuinely nice guy, someone I did not mind having in my home for the couple of weeks this work took to complete. Highly recommended.
My husband and I were impressed with Mr. Arena's attention to detail and the superior quality of his work. He meticulously prepared the walls and area around the windows before painting. The walls look fabulous, not a streak or brush line to be seen! After finishing his work the room was left clean and neat with no sign of paint or dust. I would highly reccommend Mr. Arena for any type of painting, indoor or outdoors. He approaches his work like an artist would.
William was excellent and knowledgeable about his craft. He consulted me on what we should do to accomplish what I wanted. He worked on the deck for a few days and it came out unbelievable. He was pleasant to talk to and very friendly. Would hire him again at any time.
Painting a house like ours is by no stretch of the imagination an easy task. A Civil War era house, the clapboards are delicate and painting a surface with other layers of peeling paint had to have been a tough tough endeavor. Will just came here with this great attitude and knew how to treat the surface and what kinds of paint would work with with our particular scenario. He also really handled the moldings and trim really well so that they are actually the elements that pop more than the flaws. Will is really an artist but he's also a serious workhorse. I can't tell you how many days he would come here and totally give it everything he had. Also, he's a modest person of high moral character and we really enjoyed getting to know him and felt great having him be here so often. I am so looking forward to working on other house projects with Will of Water's Edge Painting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

It went very well!
Will called every morning to confirm his arrival time. He called every evening to let me know he was leaving if I wasn't home. Will is trustworthy and cares about his clients.
Will's work is impeccable. He makes sure the walls are prepped, cleans up afterward and is proud of his work. He likes making people happy.
iHe painted "samples" on my walls to make sure I would be happy with my paint selections.
He provided everything for the job, all included in the price.
I highly recommend Will Arena, Water's Edge Painting for all of your painting jobs, interior and exterior.
