I initially contacted Ken through Angie's list, about 18 months ago. I he did come and refinished my tub, and did some tole work. He said he guaranteed his work for two years. A year later the tub was yellowing and cracking. He came out again, put another coat on, which immediately started bubbling and peeling off. I also asked him to put I. Three new windows for me. Inside they are fine, but he did not finish the outside.

Ken came back to tighten kitchen sink faucet 10 months after finishing the job and being paid.  We expect and appreciate that kind of dedication. <br />

Ken is a skilled professional who is very respectful the homeowner and their property.  His work was very high quality, his price reasonable, and he was easy to work with.  I'm extremely pleased with the work Ken did and have already started my list of future projects.  Ken makes helpful suggestions, always cleans up before he goes home for the day, and is very knowledgeable about the kind of work he does.  I highly recommend Ken!! <br />

The job went well. It took longer than planned but Ken was very professional and I'm pleased with the results. I had a couple of things I asked if he could do which hadn't been in the work order and Ken was flexible and gladly did the work for me. <br />

Ken showed great creativity in tiling and fixing our shower.  We had discovered a leak when replacing our bathroom floor; and several different contractors told us they could not fix the situation because we had a 'custom shower'.    <br /> <br /> Ken basically rebuilt the 2 outside walls of our shower?solving the problem.  He was very easy to work with and has great ideas! <br /> <br /> Oh, and best of all... it looks great!   We are very pleased. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

Estimator called to schedule a time to meet.  He was approximately hour late but apologized for being late.  Was very professional and courteous.  Discussed options and recommendations for scope of work.  He called the owner after we stated work was too expensive and arrived at a price we liked.  We have reservations regarding a large oak tree and protecting the roots.  The next day we received a call to assure us how the roots will be protected with a special membrane.   <br />

He does good work but he's extremely busy and it's difficult getting them to the house. The work was top quality but it's difficult for him to do the job because he's busy with other businesses. I think it's a reasonable price.

Helped make decisions without being pushy

<p>Ken is very easy going and flexible, but he needs to talk more to the owner when there are situations that may need correcting or explaining before going forward or leaving.  Why I say this is I had a small bathroom floor so I bought a small roll of linoleum which he stated was really thin instead of saying something it tore when he tried to put it down.  Ken forgot instructions to the Lyons shower door which I had sent to him earlier, and I noticed parts of door were not on correctly.  I told him just ask I could have produced the instructions.  Ken did a great job with the fan, shutoff valve, fence post, vanity, & drywall.  I have found that my interlocking shower which is not supposed to have caulking inside- does in one corner, and is not aligned on the outside.          </p> <br />

Wedge Construction (Ken McCallon) was very prompt and courteous and the fact that he was finishing a project that we started ourselves did not deter him. He even took the time to correct some things we initially didn't do to his standard which was very much appreciated.  We explained our goal was to have the new aluminum railings  match an existing fence and he made it happen. Wedge Construction wasn't the lowest bid we received but he took my calls or promptly returned them.  Some of the other bidders were very slow to respond and I had to "chase" one bid down for almost two weeks.  I pretty much knew that contractor wasn't going to get the job but I always like 3-4 bids to make sure everyone understands the scope. As a rule I eliminate the lowest and highest bid and Wedge Construction was right in the middle.  His bid included purchasing materials, tearing out the old wood and removal.  His workmanship is guaranteed for two years which was another great advantage that no one else offered.  <br /> <br /> While Ken was working on the deck we had another small project going which required a new bathroom vanity to be set.  I asked him if he was interested in doing that for us and he took a look and gave me a very reasonable quote and did it the next day.  Once the onyx was set and plumbing installed he came back and trimmed out the bathroom as well. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> I cannot say enough good words about Wedge Construction and will definitely be using him again when needed.

It went well.. we had water in our basement and had to have some work done in order to get it back to where it was. Ken came in early may to start the job and took the bar out and and the drywall that was wet. He then had to come back after we got the asbestos out of the basement. He did a great job and I would use him again. He put in new electrical and drywall and put our bar back.. there were some issues with the bar not being level but he came back with no argument to fix it. Drywall looks great <br />

Wonderful Job, professionally performed. Very Fair priced with great quality and Great attitude. Would Highly recommend and <strong><em>WILL USE AGAIN IN FUTURE PROJECTS.</em></strong>

Ken Melalon was early for the estimate and installation He came in to measure and design the first day and it was complete withing a week. He was non-obtrusive and clean.
