Shortly after having the roof replaced we started noticing issues with the cooling of our home. Knowing that I'd unit was just recently replaced the ac unit we thought it was more than likely leaky or old duct work so we hired a company, rip out the redesign and replace all of the duct work, but unfortunately that still didn't fix the issue. After doing research, we decided to replace the soffits thinking that it could be a ventilation issue. We also did several other things the only thing left was the roof. We decided to reach out to Westchase and they sent a guy out that looked in the attic for 2 minutes and said Ron would be in contact. When he called he stated that there were no issues with the ridge vents and recommended a solar attic fan. We decided to hire an impartial inspector to take a look. The inspection revealed 2 major issues the first one being a baseball size hole in the roof decking that was covered up and the ridge vents weren't allowing hot air from the attic to escape. Ron and the owner Oz came out and Had no excuse for the hole. As Ron is laughing he condescendingly said the only way the ridge vent was causing our problems is if it was installed upside down. Oz Inspected the ridge vent opening & says it was cut incorrectly & therefor was not allowing the hot to escape. Not wanting another sub par job we made a warranty claim with Owens Corning. We Got A platinum preferred contractor with Owens Corning to come out & they came to the same conclusion that Oz did on the ridge vents. Owens Corning Paid for 3/4 of the repair estimate, but stated the hole was not covered. After the ridge vents were fixed it resolved the issues we had with the cooling of our home. We contact Oz on 6/11 to request that he paid for the hole to be repaired and to request compensation to recover some of the money that we had to put out because of the negligence of his company, which he said was fair and asked how much compensation we were looking for. I told him I would talk to my husband and get back to him. I sent him an email requesting the amount of compensation we were looking for in addition to the amount of the original repair that was not covered. The estimate we provided Oz included proof that it was the repair estimate that was submitted to Owens corning during the warranty claim process and proof of what Owens Corning paid and would not pay so he knew we were being honest. A few days passed and I received the following text from Oz, "Hi Angela, I received your email, I wanted to let you know that I am not ignoring you. I have some personal problems, going through some tough time. I will be contacting you. I hope you're having a good weekend. Thank You OZ" to which I replied "Hey Oz, I am sorry to hear that, I didn't think you were ignoring me. I will keep you in my prayers that everything works out the way you need it to." After not hearing anything for 2.5 weeks I send him an email explaining my kids were going back to school in just under 2 weeks and we needed to resolve this prior to that time. Within 1.5 hours of sending him the email I got a text reply stating the he had a family member that passed away, that he was under a great deal of stress, and that he had a medical emergency the prior week and that he would be in contact asap. After giving my condolences and well wishes I asked that he put me in touch with or have whomever is running his business while he recovers contact me. Here we are, 2 weeks later and any all of my attempts at contact have gone unanswered from anyone at Westchase Roofing supply. I don't expect a company to be perfect, but what I do expect is honesty, integrity, and to resolve any issues in a timely manner. I gave Oz plenty of time and I was extremely patient, kind and understanding, but it is obvious they took my kindness as a weakness and now I am forced to take legal action. Just beware of what you are getting into with this company.

We hired Westchase Roofing Services to have our roof replaced. Ron, the salesman, was professional, kind and knowledgeable. We decided that even thought they were the most expensive the 40 year transferable warranty that was included and backed by Owens Corning and the fact that it covered any wood that needed to be replaced sold us. The crew, which was hard working and friendly ripped off and replaced the roof in one day without incident. Shortly after we started noticing issues with the cooling of our home. Knowing that the condenser and air handler had been replaced 2 years prior we thought it was more than likely leaky or old duct work so we hired a company, rip out the redesign and replace all of the duct work, but unfortunately that still didn't fix the issue. We installed a digital thermometer in the attic and noticed that the attic was excessively hot. After doing research, we decided to replace the soffits thinking that it could be the ventilation of the attic. After doing several other things the only thing left was the roof. We decided to reach out to Westchase and they sent a guy out that looked in the attic for 2 minutes and said Ron would be in contact. When Ron called he stated that there were no issues with the ridge vents and recommended that we have a solar attic fan installed. We did some research and found that according to the Owens Corning website an attic fan would not be needed as long as there was an adequate amount of soffit and ridge vent for the square footage. With this information we decided to hire an impartial inspector to take a look. Upon the conclusion of the inspection, we found 2 major issues the first one being there was a baseball size hole in the roof decking that was covered up instead of replacing the wood as the contract stated and the other issue was that there was little to none of the hot air was able to escape at the ridge vent. With this new information we again contacted Ron and he and the owner Oz Taysun came out within a few days. When we showed them the hole they were speechless and said there was no excuse for this, but they would have it fixed. As Ron sat in my living room telling us how a ridge vent works and when we asked him if he was saying that there is no way the ridge vent could have been installed improperly he laughed and condescendingly said, "if it was installed upside down." Oz knew we were upset by this and asked if he could go into the attic and take a look. When he came down from the attic, he stated that the ridge vent opening was cut improperly and therefor was not allowing very much hot air from the attic to escape. Ron immediately started back pedaling and didn't know what to say just nervously laughed at everything. Afraid of another sub par job we did not wanting them to do the repairs and we made a warranty claim with Owens Corning. We had to get another roofing company that was also a platinum preferred contractor with Owens Corning and they came to the same conclusion that Oz did. Owens corning did pay for the repair of the ridge vents which was 3/4 of the repair estimate, but stated that they would not cover the hole that was covered up. After the ridge vents were fixed it resolved the issues we had with the cooling of our home. Excellent. Alex came out and showed me different designs for my roof, explained the quality of the complete roof replacement and the excellent materials used. Very Professional as were the workers who came very quickly because of a cancellation of another job. They did excellent work and cleaned up the area professionally. I am very pleased with my new roof and I am glad I chose Westchase Roofing for the job. The price was a bit more than I was expecting but the excellent work eased the sticker shock. Thank you Westchase Roofing!!

Oz did a great job replacing our asphalt shingle roof. Wood and supplies were all included in his quote. His crew was excellent and worked tirelessly in 90 degree weather. Site cleanup was meticulous. He even provided an Attic Breeze solar powered attic fan. He uses Owens Corning roof products with a lifetime manufacturer warrantee. Customer service is of paramount importance. His quote was consistent with other quality vendors.

I wish I could give this company 10 stars. They are OUTSTANDING! To start out, the salesman helped me out so much and answered every question I had, he even answered the phone late in the evening to answer all my questions I had for him and didn’t mind one bit. Right after I met with the salesman to get a bid, he had my job up and running 3 days later. He also checked in with me when the job was complete to make sure I was satisfied. The crew was absolutely amazing, they got the job done so quick and were so polite. They also did an amazing job cleaning up I haven’t found a single nail or any debris from when they were here. Everything turned out exactly how I wanted and way quicker than I expected. Thank you westchase roofing!!!

The work was astonishingly great! Salesman Alex was thorough, confident and complete in presentation and explanation of the quality of Westchase work and Owens-Corning roofing. The price was fair, the guarantees of service and warranty excellent and the performance totally efficient. The roof project was completed in several days, with efficient policing of the yard and surrounding, to the effect that when they left the only remaining feature was the best looking roof in the neighborhood, and no ugly nails, paper, wrappers etc to be seen. (That should be expected, but often does not occur) Everyone was impressed by the effectiveness and neatness of the final roofing product. Thanks West chase!

Company was very professional. Job went as proposed, hard-working crew removed old roof and replaced it with new asphalt singled roof. Job took three days. Warranty was excellent: 25 years on workmanship and 50 years on shingles, transferable one time. Cleanup was fine. Payment not required until job was finished.

Very well. Alex did the estimate on time and went over options and answered all my questions but supprisingly didn't go on the roof (which the others did). Westchase was the only estimate that included everything, including wood and was in the middle of the estimates I received. The dumpster and crew arrived when they said they would and took the two days they had originally estimated. Sergio came out both days and was the company representative while the work was going on. There was some questions, a skylight that had not been on the estimate as it is mostly covered by trees (they seem to use satellite images to estimate) and a small section of flat roof which was on the estimate hadn't been in the work order. The skylight Sergio asked about and offered to remove it and close the hole. I declined and they redid the flashing and resealed it. On the flat roof I pointed it out and they did re-roof it, adding a "ski slope" away from the wall to direct the water off better. At the end of the second day, after completion and clean up the lead roofer show me photos of the work, including the sections of new wood an the peel and stick under-layer, and walked around with me before the crew left. Sergio arrived a few hours later to do a final inspection, show me the pictures and finish sealing the skylight (which needed to be done from the inside. I was impressed that even with wood decking and ceder fascia replacement and the skylight, the bill was exactly what the quote was for, with no extra costs. The next day I ran in to the city of Clearwater inspector coming down off the new roof. we chatted for a few minutes and he said they looked like they had done a good job and passed, which I found reassuring. The next day it started raining hard, and continued for 3 days. No leaks (which was an improvement from the old roof). I have been very happy with the work and the cleanup and have been up on the new roof as I painted the fascia that had been replaced. Westchase also included a wind inspection who contacted me the next day to set up a time to inspect, and provided a report which I'm filing with my insurance company.

Other A reviews for Westchase Roofing are true. Mr. Oz Taysun had worked around my schedule to get the job done. He answered every question that I had. He offered me the top of the line products and I am glad I took his offer. The technicians who took care my roof are very technical, very detail oriented, and very hard working. After researching several roofing companies we hired Westchase Roofing. Lenny came out and sat with us and gave us a very professional presentation which explained the roofing process and the materials used. He even went over our different color options and pointed out which of our neighbors had which pattern. We felt very confident in choosing Westchase after sitting with Lenny. He was very friendly, professional and courteous. This company also included some materials that you would have to pay extra for with the other companies. We thought the price was reasonable based on what all was included. The Crew that came out, were all very friendly and worked hard all day. Cleaned up after themselves and even came the next day to finish the clean up and to ensure no nails were left behind. Very fast and quality work! The dumpster that was sitting in my driveway did leave some rust behind but we called them and they came the very next day to get it out. So far we are happy with our roof and think our new roof looks great.

We had excellent, professional service from the initial quote until the job was completed. We requested quotes from 4 different roofing companies. The others that came out were either way overpriced, sketchy about the details of their work, high pressure sales or just sloppy in general. When Westchase came to our house they brought samples, explained in great detail what their plan for our roof system would be, and there was zero pressure to commit and sign. Plus the items that Westchase includes in their offer far out weighed the others' quotes. Westchase is very upfront with what they are providing to prevent any unexpected costs at the end. The crew that installed the roof were very friendly and polite. Their professionalism was as if they were installing their own roof and took extra special care on the job. I was worried about finding trash or nails in the yard after the job was completed, but they all came off the roof to clean the entire property and left it in better condition then when they first arrived. We even got a chance to speak with the owner of the company when he came to deliver some supplies to the job. He's very friendly and nice to talk to. You can tell that everyone involved with Westchase really takes pride in their work. We've heard about Westchase through a friend that had used them about a year prior, and after seeing how great they did our roof, we passed their info onto our family and friends to use. Very thankful companies like this still exist!

Our Salesperson Ron was very responsive and gave a thorough presentation on the materials used. Although it is a busy season, they were able to get our house onto the schedule sooner than quoted since we had an active leak. The crew worked very hard and got it done within 5 days. Everyday the crew was very conscientious about cleaning up mess, rusty nails, etc. This crew worked hard in very hot, humid conditions. I would recommend this company to my friends/family. This company was a little more expensive than the 3 others we received quotes from. I believe it is due to superior materials used and crews that have longevity.

Overall excellent workmanship and a very experienced crew. The roof was completed in 1.5 days and cleanup was well done, did not find a single nail. Though they are not the cheapest, the quality materials and all inclusive price is worth it. As others have said, you may have to call them to stay in touch prior to the service but once they arrive, the job goes smoothly.

In August of 2016 the previous homeowner had Westchase Roofing install a new roof. In Nov 2016 we purchased the home and the Platinum warranty for the roof was transferred. In April of 2018 we had a huge rain storm and within a couple days that is when we noticed our wood floors were wet and started to mold and trying to buckle. Naturally I called our homeowners insurance, and did some investigating, thinking it was a pipe in the wall that broke. We personally could not find the leak, we had our insurance hire a leak detection service. It took leak detection 3 hours to find that it was actually a screw left behind in the vent stack by the roofing company before they hammered the lead boot in place. Which in turn made a hole in the lead boot. Now upon finding this, we found that as the water was able to get in, it would trickle down onto our pressurized pipes. Which is why it lead us to believe it was a broken pipe. However, that was not the case at all ever. It was the screw that punctured a hole in the lead boot upon installation of the roof initially. And given certain rain conditions the water would get in and into our walls all unannounced to us until this April 2018 rainstorm. Upon leak detection's report, we contacted Westchase Roofing. Terrell from Westchase contacted us back within 24 hours and he had one of his employees come out and fix the boot. He stated to us during this visit that it was their fault and that he would "Get with the powers that be as to whom was going to pay for the damage inside that this caused. Weather it be the owners of the company or they would put a claim into their insurance company." I verified that information back to him. We waited a week to hear an answer. And then contacted Terrell again, via text messaging, as that is how he has communicated before. He did not respond. My husband proceeded to call and leave a voicemail a couple days later on a Monday. Terrell did call him back within 24 hours, and told him that they were waiting to hear back from Owens Corning. Whom had nothing to do with this, as this is a workmanship issue. Now we are here a couple days later, with a response that is very unethical and unprofessional, that they are refusing to fix the damage that this has done to the inside of our home. We have over $60,000 of damage, between wood floors, kitchen cabinets and a load bearing wall among two other walls all with mold inside. They are responsible for this damage and what they did. I wouldn't hire this company if my life depended upon it. God forbid this happens to you! They would leave you with hundreds of dollars of damage and tell you its your fault! You really want to risk that?
Response from Westchase Roofing Services
"We regret to hear that you have an issue causing damage to your home. We do take these matters very seriously, and moving forward we do hope to speak with you in a less public forum to resolve the issue at hand for the sake of everyone involved.  As a company, our reputation means a great deal. Word-of-mouth is how our business thrives, one customer at a time. Over the many years in business we have satisfied thousands of families with our quality, hard work, and salesmanship. We have elevated ourselves to perform to the highest quality standards in the most difficult and dangerous of conditions day in and day out to produce the best roofing systems in the marketplace today. We are not only well received in the local communities, we are highly respected by area Purveyors, Owens Corning, and contactors throughout the country for our consistent performance of excellence. Upon receipt of your call and speaking to you we responded by addressing an issue of concern and repairing it within 24 hours.  Our previous records indicate more than 15 sheets of plywood was replaced on this home where several pre-existing leaks were throughout the home. We are also aware of timelines of install leading to the sale of the home, and your ownership. In our opinion, the extent of damage you convey reaches far beyond a drip of water running down a pipe boot. It is also our opinion,  the physical damage reaches far beyond a month in time. We are aware of flooring damage that you conveyed to us existed upon moving into your home 18 months ago and was thought to be done by a fish tank owned by the previous owners. We feel our response time and repair time to your call was prompt and effective. By design, this is to minimize the extent of damage that can be done to a home over time. If you feel the leak has not been resolve, please don't hesitate to contact us. We implore all of our customers to read their warranty to discern their rights as a customer and ours as the contractor. The warranty for your home is the Platinum Protection Roofing System Limited Warranty. If you do not have a copy, we can provide it for you. At this time, we have many questions unanswered, but we do request that you return our calls, or have your attorney call ours so the matter can be resolved promptly. We further request that you govern your self accordingly and refrain from slandering our company name on public forums as our forensics takes precedence. Respectfully, Westchase Roofing Services Inc."

This roofer came recommended from several coworkers. Initial contact was a bit challenging. It took 3 calls over 2 days to get a response from someone who could schedule an appointment for a quote. We initially quoted 4 different companies and decided to go with Westchase because of their all inclusive pricing plan for wood replacement and a solar powered attic ventilation fan. The price we were quoted was the highest, but not by much. We were told by the representative that it would be 2.5 - 3 weeks lead time when we signed the contract. At the beginning of the second week, we had no contact so we called to get an update on the status. Again, it took several calls to the main line to get a response at which point we were told the scheduled start date had been pushed a month to the right. We expressed that was unacceptable, especially given that we would have never known unless we called. Later that day, we got a call back stating that the start date had been moved a week to the left (now a month from signing the contract, instead of 2.5-3 weeks). Once work was due to start, the dumpster and materials were delivered the day prior. The crew covered essential items around the house to prevent damage (A/C, plants, etc). They used blowers to clean off the roof which made quite a mess in our and our neighbors' yards, but that was promptly cleaned up. Work was completed by 8PM that day (1450 sq ft house). The crew was very professional and did a great job cleaning up nails around the property. Overall, we could not be more pleased with the roofing crew's professionalism and quality of their work. The administrative side could be a bit more responsive/punctual. We'd hire this company again, but I'd make our expectations a little more clear.

We had both the roof and the facia replaced. After three estimates, we chose Westchase Roofing based on their knowledge and professionalism, along with their competitive pricing that included a great warranty. Once we signed the contract, we were disappointed in the communication there after. We had to continually call them to receive updates on the progress. Our calls were mostly returned, but often at the 23rd hour. We are happy with the overall quality and speed with the roof replacement. We are very unhappy with the facia replacement. The facia boards we received were very poor quality. Though we continually tried to contact the company about the boards, there response was "to let them finish their job". They did not address or correct the poor quality of the boards. Currently we have facia that is wavy due to the varying widths of the boards. It has hand prints that were not washed off, so it looks dirty. The gutters have been replaced partially and what has been replaced does not look like what we originally had. We would recommend them for roof replacement. We would not recommend them for replacing facia.

This company was excellent to work with from start to finish. Ron was excellent - he presented the services clearly and without pressure. The price was fair for the quality of the roof purchased. The workers did a high quality job on the roof. They spent a lot of time cleaning up at the end of each day so there was no mess and no nails in the driveway. At the end of the project, the owner came out and inspected the roof himself. He showed me pictures of the work in various stages, including pictures of the replaced wood and pictures of the entire roof in sections after it was done. This is a first class company and I highly recommend them.

They were wonderful. Ron, the salesperson had the patience to explain (multiple) times the process, the product and the warranty. At the time of install; I met with the project manager prior to the install to let me know what would be going on that day. Oz, the owner came by to meet me as well. At the end of the day, the team went into my neighbors yards and picked up any debris that blew (it was pretty windy) into their yards. I was totally impressed with the entire process and team. This is a very professional, friendly, efficient contractor.
