When removing my kitchen cabinets for mold remediation, we discovered that we had two layers of old linoleum beneath the cabinets, and our tile.  I brought samples from each layer to the lab at 4:00 pm on a Friday, and had the results within 2 hours.  I paid extra for the rush - without that it would have been $50 for the two samples.  ($30 for the first, $20 for the second.)  The rush fee was worth it to me to not have to wait for results, since we were going in to a weekend.  <br /> They were professional, prompt, and excellent in their services.  I recommend them highly, and would use them again in the future if testing was needed on something else. <br />

Their website had good information on how to (safely) collect samples of different kinds of material (popcorn ceiling, in this case). They mentioned that many testing "kits" available are nothing more than zip-loc bags and an instruction sheet, with the actual lab processing fees being extra - so it was appreciate that they encouraged me to use my own zip-loc bags and save some money up front. <br /> They processed my samples within a couple days of receiving them, and emailed me a report of their findings for each of the three samples - thankfully negative for asbestos, just perlite. <br /> Pricing was simple - a base rate for the first sample ($30), then a smaller additional fee for each additional sample ($20). Given the safety implications of removing asbestos impregnated material, or the cost of paying an abatement/removal company to take care of it, $70 was a small price to pay. <br />

<p>I took a sample down mid afternoon on Friday. By 5:00 pm same day I received an email with outcome of analysis. </p> <p>They were pleasant to deal with and very efficient. I would definitely use their services again and highly recommend there service. </p> <br />

I brought the sample in on Friday afternoon and received results Monday morning as he promised. <br />

<p>Their website contains clear instructions on how to take your own samples and mail them for next day report.  I followed their instructions and sent the samples through the local Federal Express (expedited for overnight delivery as I needed a quick reply).  And the Federal Express Office already had them in their data bank and said they ship to them often.</p> <p>To my delight, Western emailed me their report later the same day they received the samples!  The report was easy to read and understand.  Unfortunately, my kitchen floor did contain asbestos (their report detailed the type and quantity) so now I need to find the right company to remove it.  Another company gave me two other references for asbestos testing (about $400 each) before I found Western.  </p> <br />

It went great! I drove over at around 2pm yesterday and had the results about 5 hours later. Although one of the samples tested positive...that wasn't their fault. At least I know how to proceed now. Their response was lightning speed and would use them again! <br />

I took samples form 3 areas of the house, sent them on Saturday, Monday the report was emailed back. <br /> Very fast service. <br />

Sent them 7 samples of popcorn ceiling and plaster wall from rooms thru <br /> out my home.  Did not have to go further than the post office to do <br /> this.  It was very convenient being able to use the order form from <br /> their web site.  Within a few days a detailed report was emailed to me <br /> saying the ceiling popcorn had asbestos but the walls did not.  It was <br /> all very easy to do. <br />

I used them first for 7 asbestos samples. I mailed my samples out on tuesday afternoon and called them on friday to see if they had recieved them. The gentleman that answered was nice enough. He told me that my samples had arrived that same day (friday) and that they would have a reprt emailed to me by 6pm. True to his word my report arrived by 6pm. The report was easy to read. <br /> I then proceeded with my home renovation after the first report revealed no asbestos, but then I decided to have other materials tested. This time it was 3 samples and the mail system was a lot faster. I got my results 1 day after mailing them! Color me impressed! <br /> I had previously reached out to Aardvark Property Hazard Analysis (a different asbestos testing company) and their quote was $350 for 3 samples, plus $50 for any additional samples. Additionally, Frank at Aardvark was hard to deal with since he didn't keep his word when he said he would e mail me or when he said he'd come out to my house to do the testing. He stood me up actually. Any way with Western Analytical I got 10 samples tested for $200 as opposed to Aardvards $350 fee for 3 samples...you do the math. <br />

We were looking to purchase a home, but were worried about the possibility that asbestos had been released by the current owner of the home when she had some remodels done by an unlicensed contractor who did not have the acoustic ceilings tested (as required by law). I was instructed on how to collect samples by a contractor who specializes in overseeing asbestos abatement and remediation, who also recommended this lab. <br /> I dropped the samples off just after 4pm on Thursday and had an email with the results by 11:30am the very next day; less than 24 hours later. The staff was very friendly, showed me which areas to fill out on the submission form, and took the samples from me. I was in and out of the office in well under 5 minutes. Most of the time was spent filling out the very simple form. Fortunately, the samples came back negative for asbestos. <br /> If we ever need other testing done, we will certainly be taking our samples to Western Analytical Laboratories. <br />

Western is great!  Mike is so responsive and professional. He is willing to go that extra mile.  I actually dropped of my samples because it was on my way out of town, and I got the report within 24 - 36 hours.  It was very smooth and easy. <br /> The report was easy to understand.  Plus, I called Mike for with questions, and he was very polite and took his time to address my concerns.  In fact, he went above and beyond and re-tested a sample I was concerned about and provided me that report. Very accommodating and much appreciated.  Thanks so much for your expertise and help Mike. <br />

We used Western Analytical to test 3 samples of popcorn ceiling before we attempted removal. They were very professional as we corresponded via phone and email. The turnaround on the test was surprisingly fast. We got the results back the very same day the samples arrived at the lab, with details on each individual sample. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service (and thankfully, very satisfied with the negative test results!). <br />

The process went smoothly.  I sent them the sample in the mail, and got an e-mail two days later with the test report. <br />
