We hired West Lake Pool and Spa after gathering several quotes from local companies. They were the most responsive when I first reached out. Mark was able to come by within a day to give me an in person quote and job estimate. He was able to order the pool heater quickly and have installed within a few weeks of our inital job request. The installation took one day and we were impressed since he had to rearrange some of our other pool equipment in order to fit in the heater. We are extremely pleased with his work. I would strongly suggest this company to other pool owners, and especially if you are needing a pool heater installed.

Great service. We had company arriving on the weekend and wanted the replacement heater installed by Saturday. There was a supply issue with the 400K BTU Pentair I wanted, so they installed the more expensive Jandy for the same prices. Because of the delay they came out on Saturday morning to do the installation. They then noticed the spa was not producing bubbles out of the jets. They came back about a week later to fix the problem. They spent about 30 minutes only to find the spa was not plumbed properly. Even though I offered to pay for their time, I was not charged because they "couldn't fix it".

West Lake Pool and Spa maintained my pool for almost four years. The service was pretty good back in 2013-2014. Over the time service quality declined. Some repairs they suggested and made (such as web gasket replacement on the filter) lasted just a couple of months. Then gasket started to leak to backwash pipe, and I found that only when water dropped below skimmers and pump began to run dry. They initially told me that my autofill doesn't work, but I found the real cause and pointed to them. They fixed the leak by replacing the gasket. The repair lasted just a bit beyond warranty expiration, and I had to pay extra to fix it the second time. About year and a half later I had the pump run dry again, but this time water level was right. When I notified them, the owner even did not bother to send a technician. Just stated that this is my responsibility to fill out the pool and my autofill have never worked (which is not true). This time I finally decided to terminate the contract with Westlake Pool and Spa and did that. I also called a specialist that diagnosed leak around pool filter head where West Lake Pool and Spa installed gasket a few times. The leak resulted in the air in the system, which stopped water circulation.

Called to get 2nd opinion after 1st estimate was $1000 to fix pool heater. He checked the pool heater and said no power was getting to the heater transformer. Checked wiring found problem and and fixed it. Charged $75 for the service call. He was on time and explained what he was doing. Saved us $1000. Would definitely recommend him.
