W/H Construction Now

Bill and his team were punctual, engaged attentice to detail and took ownership of the project. I hired Bill after having to fire another crew. I wish I had hired him from the get go. In total, he has done $60k worth of work for me across three projects.

It went horribly. Bill Hodges WH Construction Now, Convinced me He would get enough out of my insurance company from a claim on a water leak to complete $74,000.00 worth of work to the interior of my home. Bill Hodges contract stated he was responsible for removing items from the downstairs where work was to be done into climate controlled storage. Only 2 pieces of furniture was removed into climate controlled storage and some stuff packed up in boxes and put into my garage. I had to pay for the storage and packing and Bill Hodges never reimburse the expenses. I was to be in a hotel from 30 to 45 days while work was being completed which wound up being over 90 days and the job was still no where near complete or correct. Bill Hodges wanted all the contract money up front on start. Bill got a large portion of the money on the start but wasn't long before he started wanting more money even though for what he had already received was way in excess of the amount of work done or materials bought. Job started Feb, 2019, and the past couple of months it seemed like he was just sending over anyone just to have someone there even if they did not know what they were there to do. I finally went to the city inspectors office a couple of weeks ago and was informed by the city that Bill Hodges WH Construction Now, is not even licensed to do work at my home, and the contract amount of $74,000.00 requires a licensed Alabama State Home Builder which he is not according to the inspector. I finally got him out of my house when his worker he sent determined the job was done. about 2 weeks ago. The new flooring was installed improperly as told me by the manufacture of the product. The floor has damage numerous areas through out the house. There are numerous items not done such as Closet rods just laying in the floor / All towel bar set are falling off the walls the same day they were installed / Missing and damaged electrical cover plates through ought the house / electrical problems that never existed until after Bill hodges / Lots of touch up painting not done / Plumbing Issues / Damaged flooring / He had people that claimed to be electricians and plumber that were in fact not licensed. I have the city inspector coming to assess some of the problems, and having to pay licensed electrician and plumber to come inspect and repair problems. Even if the work had been done timely and properly the pricing was way over the top for the caliber of work. Bill Hodges guy he used for painting was very professional and courteous as well as the lead man he originally had at the start of the interior work until he quit because of the lack of materials and money for labor. I had to spend a lot of additional money because of Bill Hodges WH Construction Now, exercise common sense durring the work process. I had to pay to clean several expensive carpets, Had to replace an entire HVAC unit because they had let it run while working, and plug up with dust burning the system out. Also had to have all the duct work on all 3 systems cleaned because of the amount of dust and particulates in the system because they let them run. It has been a horrifying and extremely stressful situation. even now that I have been back in my home I am still unpacking and moving things to where they are suppose to be which is something Bill Hodges WH Construction Now, was suppose to do under the contract. It amazes me he can operate like this and people dont leave the bad reviews allowing someone else to fall victim to this contractor. This could go on forever with all the problems I have been dealing with dealing with Bill Hodges WH Construction Now. He portrays himself as a state licensed general contractor which he clearly is not. No general liability which he claims to be insured, and obviously not licensed in every city or county he claims he is.

WH construction William Hodges had his crew pull vines from the back of the house, do minor stucco repairs, and paint the exterior walls. The sucker roots on all the metal and vinyl parts of the area vines were removed where never pressure washed, or scrubbed to try and remove the still attached sucker roots all over the windows, soffit, or fascia. Bill said he treated the sucker roots with a special chemical that would allow the roots to just be washed off which I found to be an untrue statement. The painter did a good job and was very honest and professional but Bill Hodges WH construction Now Charged me $20,000.00 to remove the vines, roots, and paint the exterior which I later found was an extremely high price especially for How the back of the house looks. Bill Hodges also charge me and additional $3,000.00 for minor repair and painting a small shed where he had his workers pull my gate down between the shed and the house and took it for Mr Hodges which I never agreed to. I found out much later as Bill Hodges WH Construction Now was finishing up another contract that went horribly bad that Bill Hodges WH Construction Now Did not have General Liability insurance, or even licensed to do work in Fairhope according to the Fairhope city inspection department. The head Inspector for Fairhope explained to me that Bill Hodges WH Construction Now would have been required to Hold an Alabama state Homebuilders license for any work exceeding $10,000,0. Sadly I did not realize what I had gotten into till much later. I let Bill Hodges WH Construction Now talk me into overpaying for substandard work which I realized to late. I would recommend if you see this guy run the other way. Hes makes a good high pressure salesman but cant always deliver

W H Construction Now, Inc. is the only company you should ever need for ANY type of contractor work! I was looking for a reliable, honest, and knowledgeable General Contractor when I discovered William (Bill) Hodge Construction. Bill, the company owner, gave me a written quote within a few days of our very first phone call and the following day, he had workers on my roof inspecting and repairing damage. Bill and his construction crews are highly skilled, professional craftsmen and very respectful to me. The entire remodel is not completed yet, in fact, I truly believe it will be completed before the contract completion date and as budgeted even though I added more to the contract since our original signing. Some of the work Bill’s crews are doing are building new railings for my large upper deck, they are simply beautiful. Building new steps & railing for the outside stairs. Installing a security door with a keyed deadbolt accessible on each side. They are building a 9-foot long custom Island for my kitchen, installing new countertops and backsplash, and hanging pendant lights over the Island. Effectively repairing a large hole in the ground. Among some of Bill’s talents is that he has a great ability to choose matching colors, including paint and tiles. His professional painter is painting almost the entire house. Bill always keeps me updated on the project progress and always wants to be sure I’m happy with the project. I highly recommend this company and I’m so pleased and happy with their craftsmanship. I’m so happy with their craftsmanship, they are remodeling the master bathroom at another property. They have also repaired an extremely bad foundation problem at this property. Cut back tree limbs, raked leaves, pulled weeds, and hauled it away (4 truck loads)! I will definitely use W H Construction again! Why are you waiting? Call Bill !!!

Bill's crew performed a WIDE range of work, from full interior and exterior painting, exterior carpentry, new roof, kitchen counters, ceiling work, etc. Told him I wanted prospective buyers to have little or no items from their home inspectors, and wow, that is exactly what he did. Of course, he had all sorts of suggestions (all good). We did almost all what he suggested. Plus he was able to all work quickly.

The project got started a few days late, but once started it went well with only a couple of small obstacles that were able to be resolved quickly. Justin assisted with the purchase and delivery of all materials and I couldn't ask for anyone more hard working or helpful. He removed layers of old rotting flooring and reinforced floor joists, installed new sub-floor and vinyl flooring, installed new toilet and vanity/sink. He removed a 24" door, widened the opening and installed a 30" door, moved electrical wiring and switches and repaired interior wall to include drywall finishing and painting. He was very professional and accommodating

W/H Construction did a wonderful job on our termite damage remodel. His crew showed up within a week to give a quote and brought the job in on budget, and actually 2 weeks earlier than they had originally projected the job. His crew was courteous and Bill, the owner, was always eager to communicate with us as the owners the steps of the job and what would happen throughout the re-build. Mr. Bill and his crew treated our home with care and kept each work area clean and as dust free as possible. Bill also daily communicated with his workers and treated them each with respect and care. He thanked them frequently for their hard work and made sure they food and transportation each time they came to the job. He truly was an owner of Character and Honesty and I would highly recommend him for any of your remodeling or building needs and I will definitely use his company again. This company attention to detail and craftsmanship was outstanding. He was fair, honest, and did amazing work for us. He handled every step of the job. I have a friend that's in construction, and he checked daily to see how the work was going. The owner, William, sent me photos everyday to keep me up to date. The person who did the walk around said it looks great! I highly recommend him and I would definitely hire him again!

Very well. Carpentry work very good. Repair of home went beyond original expectations and extra work done at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner. Excellent painter. Very precise painting with very little clean up necessary and as a bonus the painter and Mr Hodge as well were very friendly,took suggestions well and were overall very pleasant to have around the house for a month. <br />
