It went well at the beginning and then it was down hill. We never knew what day of the week or what week Mike would be here. We paid 6 month in advance for twice a month service. Finally we decided to terminate his services. We are still awaiting a refund for services not rendered. We have not had a response from him for over a month concerning when our refund will be mailed. For sure, we could not recommend him to anyone.

We had problems. Service was received from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays. (you never knew when they'd be here)

Often the serviceman would turn on the Polaris, which had already been turned off by the time clock. But the service man did not turn the Polaris off before leaving. When I got home I found the pool motor off (because it had subsequently been turned off by the time clock) and the Polaris motor still on. That eventually caused my Polaris motor to burn itself out. I talked to the service man about this several times, but the next time it would be another service person doing the same thing.

Eventually, I'd healed enough from surgery to go back to doing my own cleaning. I informed the owner that I was paying the last month's service (September 2015) and would discontinue service as of October 1. The owner did not completely read my notice and discontinued service in September. He told me time and time again he'd be refunding the month's fee of $109 for services not received, but that check never came.

It was pretty standard pool service. They did an adequate job, not spectacular. The deal was for pool service. That's what they provided. I was gonna have them do some other work around the pool, but I didn't feel very confident in their ability to do that, so we just stuck with the cleaning. They just weren't really responsive. Like I said, I was gonna have them do some additional work, some actual repairs with the pool, but they just weren't responsive. They weren't timely in getting back to me on that.

Great. I have a large pool and they gave me the same special rate for the added cost for extra linear feet.
I have a contract with them. I have talked to him about some repairs that haven't been done yet. They seemed good in the beginning and the pool is clean.

Originally started working with them through a Big Deal. I liked the owner and he was helpful with a few issues on the pool, but things went downhill after I hired them for the monthly pool service. The pool was kept clean pretty well, but I came to find out from my energy bill that they had re-set the pool motor to be on for 8 hours a day without consulting me. I was concerned about this lack of communication as well as the fact that it appeared they had ripped the solar pool cover and didn't tell me. The owner never returned my call about this.
The technician did a great job. He arrived on time, explained exactly what was to be done, and was very professional. My pool tile looks as good as new.
..After Mike Baker's brother installed the two new pumps and filter systems and removed the Poolsweep pumps and separate timers (at a cost of over $2000) the Poolsweep never worked properly. He would have to send his men weekly to adjust the settings and clean the pools (which the Poolsweep was supposed to be doing !).
After a few months of this he retired (apparently for health reasons) and turned his business over to his brother Michael Baker of Whirlpools. In April 2014 I contacted him to remove the pool covers on both pools and restart service. His men apparently had never removed a pool cover before - it took them over an hour to do what normally takes 15 minutes - I had to show them how to do it. After two months the Poolsweep was not working and the pool was dirty. I got Angie's prepaid $25 deal with Lynch's Pool Service and Mr. Lynch came over and said it was too big a job and he didn't understand why the Poolsweep pump was removed in the first place. I called in Michael Baker to complain, and he agreed that he did not know why his brother had removed the Poolsweep pumps. He offered to put back my pump at a discount for $500, and I agreed. He also agreed to replace the pump and timer at my daughter's pool.
He delayed this for two months (he said he was looking after his sick brother( when my daughter had her pool replastered. We asked Mike Baker to have his man come in daily in he crucial weeks after replastering to add acid and brush the sides. He came once and brought 2 bottles of acid and Baker charged us $97. for this "service" because he believed his man rather than us ! He also did not replace the Poolsweep pump because he said he was looking for a used one cheap..
After a few more weeks of this I told his man to stop coming in late July , whereupon Baker presented me with a bill for $677 for services rendered during the months I was asking him to replace the Poolsweep pump. In August I bought a used Maytronics pool cleaner for over S500 for my daughter's pool, but it didn't work well, so in September I paid $700 to instal a new Poolsweep pump and timer installed. Two weeks ago Mike Baker threatened me with a lawsuit unless I made a settlement offer. My offer was that he owed me $800 (including $300 for my pump) or I would tell all on Angie's List. He has not responded
Response from Whirlpools
"Where do I start. Simply not true. I serviced two of his properties and he didn't have the money to pay and racked up three months of service and never paid. If he was unhappy why keep us for three months"

They sent someone who was a bit too young, and didn't do a very good job. The owner eventually made it right, and redid it all himself.

Rain or Shine, these guys come every Thursday to clean, balance and inspect our pool. Even during the nasty storming weather, he comes to pull out the leaves and makes our pool water clear again. The only part that I can mark against them is that during the summer months, they are a little heavy handed on the chlorine and makes our pool almost up to public pool standards, however, I have never asked them to back off on it either. I'm sure if I asked, they would be very prompt to make sure that the pool balanced to the lower levels of chlorine. I would definitely recommend them to others.
Had to let old pool guy go after lack of response to service call requests on green pool. Had whirlpools come out to help us assess and fix the situation and provide basic training/information on our pool setup so we could try to maintain pool ourselves. Was helpful and informative.
The contractor went above and beyond in repairing my pool system, even fixing other problems he ran across without charging. Afterward, Whirlpools provided a free cleaning. Very satisfied with all the work performed.
Although he was a very pleasant and conscientious young man, it was clear he did not have a good working knowledge of hot tubs/spas. He came back on several occasions to try and figure out what was wrong. He informed me my circuit breaker was good when in fact that was the problem. I would be more inclined to utilize him for pool services.
My experience was good. He did the work well and explained what I needed to do. He did some testing and told me how to better maintain the pool myself for the future.

They were prompt and courteous. My generator hadn't worked properly in years but still beeped every minute or two. The guys disabled it, which was my main reason for the service call, and checked and adjusted the pool chemicals. They gave me some suggestions for different kinds of chlorine generators that might work better for my pool.
