Excellent! Very fast and extremely Knowledgeable-I really like the fact that they focus only on roofing and they just they didn’t just come out and inspect the air my roof water was leaking inside the interior they went inside to actually see the water stain to see exactly what needs to be repaired. Most importantly they focused on repairing the area requested versus other companies who oppression me to replace the entire roof Versus focusing on the area with the issue

I hired "William Mackay" in January of 2019 to repair a leak in our roof and perform a full general/routine roof maintenance. Everything was great! I dealt with Ben Mackay. He was quick and great at communicating recommendations and how the work would be/was executed. The price was good too. It's been 2 years and the area where the leak was is still dry as a bone. I'll definitely use them again.

I would definitely contact William Mackay Roofing again! I was told by a different contractor who fixed some gutters, that I needed to have someone who knew how to fix flat roofs inspect my flat porch roof. After asking around, several people highly recommended contacting William Mackay. Brittany quickly scheduled for a technician to come out -- and the same day Mr. Mackay inspected my roof and emailed me the proposal. He answered all my questions (as did Brittany!) The work was scheduled quickly - and the installers/technicians completed the work in one day. Everything was cleaned up (old roof pieces, etc) afterwards. I was a bit wary about having anything done to my home with COVID-19 -- but everyone really seemed aware of social distancing. I was very happy with how streamlined this went, and how pleasant it was to work with William Mackay Roofing.

Amazingly well. All questions answered pre and post quote, team showed up on time and finished early. Couldn’t ask for more courteous staff and professionalism . Highly recommend. We spoke to other roofers but very glad we went with Mackay - especially given their commitment to timelines.

Fantastic responsiveness, especially with the rain coming in 36 hours. Good pricing, good professionalism, highly recommend that you include them in your next roofing project, or at least as one of your bidders.

I sought out three bids from highly rated Angie's list roofing companies. I eliminated one company that would not provide an estimate unless they could present it in person with my wife present (code for high-pressure sales). The second company was great, but did not get their bid to me until almost a week after they promised it. By comparison, Joe Makay got right back to me on first contact and every time I had a question. He was able to work my project into the schedule within a week and got got the entire large and complex job done in just two days. The end result was outstanding and well worth the price. I only rated their price as a B because their cost was somewhat higher than the other (larger) company that bid; however I went with Mckay because they were more responsive and customer service focused. I felt confident they would take good care of me and they did just that.

It went really well in general - it took me a while to get the money together to have the work done after I got the estimate, and although they emailed to check back in once - they weren't pushy at all. Everyone we talked with during the project was super nice, and the project looks great, and they cleaned up really well. They were also nice enough to look at a future project while they were here and give me an estimate.

Ben and his team of experts did a tremendous job and were able to get the work done on my tight schedule because the house was coming on the market. I was kept informed of the process by great photos of the work as it was being completed. I will definitely (and already have) recommend them to everybody on Capitol Hill.

Bill was fantastic. Very communicative and clear. He didn't sugar coat issues but was honest and fair in both the work and the price. The work was done very efficiently, and his crew left both the roof and the yard looking great. His crew was careful in their work so that everything looked great, even in the placers that were hard to see. I'll certainly be looking his way for gutters and anything else with my roof. I can't recommend him enough.

Great work! Ben supplied pictures of the work in progress and explained everything that was being done which showed the roof being pulled back to the "studs" and then how they put the new roof on. They also replaced the skylight at no additional cost. I will definitely recommend them in the future!

<p>Working with William Mackay roofing was a great experience.  I knew from my home inspection that I needed to have a membrane sealed on my roof. I called three roofers before the winter and during early spring and every one of them was slow to get back to me, or just not very informative, would charge for the estimate, etc...</p> <p>I called William Mackay based on the Angies List service reviews and I was not disappointed.  They contacted me immediately through the app.  They were available and they arrived on time.  They provided a free estimate, took photos of my roof, and shared them with me. They showed me exactly what needed to be done and they were straightforward - they did not try to sell services I didn't need. </p> <p>When I inquired about scheduling, they had space on that day's schedule - they immediately called a worker in and got to work on my roof. The maintenance was completed in a few hours. They took photos of the completed work and emailed both "before" and "after" photos with an in-depth explanation  of the completed work. </p> <p>Ben and Bill Mackay (sons of William) handled the job. Ben Mackay shared information on how to maintain my roof.  I'm a new homeowner and I bought a well-maintained house that is almost a century old. He shared info on the difference between newly constructed roofs and the materials used, and roofs like mine.  Bill managed the job. </p> <p>I paid a fair price but more importantly, I know that I can call them and they will do a great job.  They also stand behind their work. Family owned businesses are important - they rely on word of mouth and repeat business.  Highly recommend.</p> <br />

William MacKay Roofing is a family business.  I purchased a package from this company to have my roof inspected since more than 20 years have passed since it had been replaced.  The MacKays arrived promptly as stated when we made the appointment. The employees were very professional, my roof was inspected, and I was shown pictures of my roof with an explanation of the its condition.  Since my roof did not need to be replaced, I advised Mr. MacKay that I would call him to replace my roof when that time came.  I was very satisfied with the services provided by this company and would definitely use them again because of the excellent services that I received with this inspection. <br />

Technician was prompt, friendly, and efficient with climbing onto roof to assess its condition. Provided a wide range of recommendations to include short-term fixes and long-term replacement. I would use this contractor again <br />

It went great! He was done with the work in no time and the leak stopped, which is good because Snowzilla hit the area soon after. It's comforting to know that my roof is in good shape and ready for the winter season. <br />

The guys went beyond the simple inspection and caulking as described on the purchased Angie's list package.  They also cleaned the roof and removed debris from the gutters the morning of the blizzard.  Their straight forward honest approach and thorough answers to my questions is greatly appreciated.  I'll use them again in the future. <br />

It went great He works on an emergency basis. So I called him early and he was at my door within 2 hours.

It's really good. I can call him anytime like an emergency service. He was quick about it, and despite the fact I called him the previous evening, he was out there the next morning.

The Mackays arrived early, which they apologized for but was perfectly fine with me!  The maintenance package was an Angie's List deal.  Ben spoke with me inside while his brother and the rest of the crew were up on the roof.  Ben was very informative and helpful explaining what they were going to do up there, and about a longer term roof solution that I'd inquired about.  They gave me a lot of information without pushing any upsell services or sales pitches on me.  I appreciated that they are a multi-generational family business, with multiple family members on the job site. <br />

As best I can tell they did the roof service ok, and installed the snow catchers. The only problem was that at least 25% of the snow catchers fell durning the winter of 2015. I had someone else come out and reinstall them. <br />
