It went fine.  He does great work.  I've used him before.  I recommend him.

My tenant called to say that he had no electric power in the front half of his apartment. I called Wade and he came out that very afternoon to determine the cause of the problem. I have an old six flat apartment building with fuse boxes and a lot of the original electrical wiring and it took three hours for him to trace where the short was. He replaced the wire and restored electricity to the apartment. I appreciate his responsiveness and the fact that he was very thorough. He explained the problem to me and what needed to be done. I've used him before and would use him again. NOTE: He also goes under the name Chicago Electrical Services. <br />

Wade Wilson did an excellent job. He is thorough and explains what he is doing and doesn't milk a job. He's easy to reach and schedule appointments with and that can be a challenge with some providers. Excellent and our official new electrician. Found him here on Angie's List so thought I'd pay it forward.

Underground cable in conduit failed. Called and set apt. Showed up on time (even though I was running a little late). Ran through options before committing to performing work. Very professional. Fixed a few unrelated minor items as well. Extremely happy and will call again if needed. Highly recommend.

I've hired Wade Wilson twice but this is my first review.  We own a house in Chicago that is tenant occupied while we are out of the country.  I do all our home repair business by phone, text and email.  The pros and cons of dealing with Wayde are: <br /> Pro: <br /> 1. very fast response and scheduling time <br /> 2. communicates well <br /> 3. schedules the appointment with tenants for me based on their availability <br /> 4. reasonably priced and fair <br /> 5. our tenant asks for him by name.  Said he was very professional and courteous.  <br /> Cons: <br /> 1. he forgot to bill me for the first service.  He now takes credit cards via smart-phone and billing is immediate.  <br />

Work went well. This is the second time we have used Wade and he was as thorough as he was the first time. <br />

This was our third time working with Wade and his crew. As always, we were beyond satisfied. He's the best! <br />

They blamed the existing wiring already in place. Their work left my upstairs apartment without "ANY" electricity, and recommended a complete re-wiring. I had been renting this apartment for 3 years with few issues, so I was not ready to accept their recommendation. Wilson Electric came in, had the entire job analyzed and repaired in less than an hour. After this event, I had several other things upgraded with good results. Wilson was great!!

<br /> <br />Wade was great.  Contacted me within 5 minutes after I sent the Angie's List request out.  Came over, did the work, and I couldn't be happier.  I will call him in the spring when I need some outside electrical work fixed, too. <br />

Wade was very responsive and that too on a day when it was snowing heavily outside. He was very polite and was willing to even give a general consultation on some general questions I had post the service. Service was excellent!  Wade was very responsive and followed up quickly.  it is best to contact him through e-mail, but he responded quickly. <br />

Wade was really quick to respond.  I was having a new washer/dryer installed that day and found out I needed another outlet installed.  Wade was able to come in and get the work done the same day with no issues.  I would definitely recommend WILSON ELECTRICAL SERVICES. <br />

We recently bought a chevy volt and the charging station that came with the car wouldn't work in our garage.  We knew it wasn't the system as it worked on every other outlet except where we needed it-in the garage.  another electrician had come out a month or so ago and changed the outlet, which worked for a day.  Wade measured the voltage, which was good, and the ground, which was fair.  He figured the outlet needed a new ground wire.  He had to figure out where in our yard or house the ground was coming from, which in of itself wasn't an easy task.  His thought was the ground somewhere underground was compromised.  He fished a new ground line from the garage to a box under our porch, again, no easy task.  And, what do you know, that was the problem and now we have an electric car that actually can be charged and run on electricity!  He also changed the outlet to include a breaker and bring us up to code. Price was fair, even though I gave him a B on that, hey, who wants to pay more than $10 for anything, so I never give anyone an A on pricing, but again, for the service it was fair. <br /> I called Wade the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, he called fairly quickly and came out to match my schedule on Wednesday.  He was professional, smart and great to work with, I would recommend him highly to anyone and would use him again in a heartbeat.  Very pleased. <br />

I contacted Wade over the phone and he asked me to submit my question over email so he could respond with a proposal.  He was quick to get us back the cost estimate and we were happy with the price so we decided to move forward with his services.  We scheduled and confirmed an appointment for a Tuesday night at 6 pm.  Come Tuesday night, Wade did not show up for the appointment.  We got in touch with him via text and he said his calendar messed up and could we do the following night at 6 pm and he would discount the services 50%.  We said fine and he did come the next night to install the pendants.  The quality of his work was good and he was friendly.  I decided to pay him the 100% of quoted price because I felt bad that his calendar messed up the night before. <br /> Given he did good work, we then had Wade look at some outdoor condo lights as we need them fixed and wanted to give him the business.  He said he would get back to us in a week with a quote.  After three follow up emails over the next three weeks, Wade never responded to our request.  I was also going to refer him to a few family and friends but have decided against it as his responsiveness is not adequate.  I would rather give the work to someone else that values getting back to people. <br />

Wade was very personable on the phone and promised me a quote before the end of the night on some routine electrical work.  I never received the quote when promised.  The next morning I messaged Wade again about the quote and never heard another word from him.  Not a good way to conduct business. <br />

Wade was courteous and professional.  He arrived on time and was done within an hour.  Communicating with him regarding what I needed done and scheduling a time for him to come out was easily done via email.  I also felt Wade gave me a reasonable price for the work I had done.  I would definitely call Wade with any electrical issues in the future. <br />

Great!  Wade is very nice and personable.  Made me feel as though I was living in a small town and our local electrician came over.  He identified and fixed the problems within 1/2 hour and the price was extremely reasonable. <br />

Wade was able to come out and do an electrical inspection for our home purchase.  We were concerned  that there was knob and tube wiring and we wanted other electrical issues checked out. Wade came out and walked me through the issues he identified and how he determined there was no knob and tube in the house.  However, Wade said he would follow up with a written report and an estimate for the work that needed to be done.  Despite several follow-ups, we never received a written report or estimate.  It would be hard to authorize work to be done without that, so, sadly, I can't recommend. <br />

I called Wade for an estimate on Monday and left a message.  He returned my call within 2 hours, and had availably the next afternoon.  Since I already had the receptacle and dimmer switch (I did not have a voltage meter and after trying and failing to correctly wire the receptacle without it, I called him) his quote was his standard fee for coming out ($85).  Wade correctly wired the GFI receptacle, properly added spacers to the outlet so it was flush and secure against the bathroom mirror and then offered and did the same with spacers to the other outlet in the bathroom.  Though I did not initially ask him to replace the dimmer switch I had, Wade said he would do so and since it was all roughly within an hour, he did not charge me anything additional.  Wade was punctual - actually arrived early - friendly, professional, clean, and did great work.  I will not hesitate to use and recommend Wade for future projects. <br />

Wade scheduled a 3:00 appointment.  He called well in advance to say that he was held up on his prior job and revised the appointment for 3:45.  He arrived at 3:46 and had the repair complete by 4:15.  He was well versed in current Chicago code and took the time to check a couple of unrelated items for code compliance.  Price was as quoted.  Affible and knowledgable. <br />

We rent our condo (thanks economy!) and the tenants called stating that they were progressively losing power in one of our rooms; first the light, then some outlets, and now more outlets.  They told us this on July 3rd, right before they left town!!  Scared that there was a big problem, I found Wilson on Angie's List, emailed, and got an immediate response back and scheduled for July 5th.  The electrician showed up on time, quickly isolated the problem and fixed it.  He did some additional exploration just to make sure the problem wasn't larger than we thought; luckily, it wasn't.  Great experience with this company, and will certainly use them again. <br />

Best electrician I have ever used.  Responded right away to my call.  Call the day before to confirm and ready for this:  he arrived on time!!!  Was very professional, very clean and outstanding job.  Mr. W.  also helped me out by coming out on a Saturday.   I can't thank him enough for all he did and the job was superior. <br />

First, let me point out that I am not at home while completing this form, so I may have to go back and correct the date and cost when I can look at my files.  Wade was asked to put in circuit breakers to replace the fuse panel that came with this 1953 house. The work was done quickly, and Wade noted that he could check all the outlets as well as note other things that could be upgraded if we wanted to get everything up to code. We also wanted to replace several ceiling fans and add more circuits. We asked for an estimate on the things that could be done.  After that, it's been all summer of emails and calls to get an estimate. Wade claims he emails it, but it is never received, and not in the spam filter....so we are just stumped.  My husband sent an email to Wade and asked Wade to "hit reply to this email," and then called to let Wade know an email was sent.  Wade tells us he emailed the estimate.  All we can surmise is that he is typing in the email address and using, perhaps, ".com" as the extension instead of ".net"....which was why we asked him to hit "reply" to an email that we sent...so that we would know he was using the correct email address.  So we are as much in the dark as anyone, especially since Wade talked to us about how important good customer service is to him.  Since the whole summer has gone by and we need this work done before the holidays, we are contacting another service provider on Angie's list. And I gave a grade of "average" to Wade as lots of providers on Angie's List can swap out fuses for circuit breakers....it's the other work that would have been the icing-on-the-cake and allowed us to decide if Wade was an above-average electrician. <br />
