Work was started and over time money was paid. Work was performed for the most part by employees who were learning their craft with little supervision. some materials for the job were required to be paid in advance and were never delivered. Work I was told needed to be performed to be compliant with the city was false (per the city). Contractor, especially toward the end) was not communicative. (no response to my calls or texts). Contractor walked away from the job unfinished with moneys having been paid for materials and work not performed. According to the CSLB web site, contractor let his license expire 11/22.. Contractor web site state he is licensed and I have an estimate for work from him using his license number that has been issued since the license expired.

I have written only a few reviews, and most were good. So, it's easy to say that I'm writing this to warn people of a predator contractor. I hired the company to complete my home's $150,000+/- remodel. The least of the problems was that they were months late completing the project & grossly over budget. I was short on cash & preparing to sell my home. They offered to finance 35% of the project for a 10% premium. I have it in writing. When it came time to close escrow on my home, they put an additional lien on it for tens of thousands of dollars. They claimed the agreement was 10% per month, not 10%. I naturally got distraught & when I spoke with James, the owner, he said your escrow can close tomorrow, or we can argue about this for months destroying the closing of escrow. It was a slick way to steal money. I want to sue, but the contracts have an arbitration clause. I'm just warning people, don't trust one thing out of their mouths. They'll offer you something to screw you later. When I told him I would write a negative review if he did this to me, he said that he would respond and tear me down as a person and sue me for attacking his character. We'll see what he does because he knows I'm telling the truth.

We needed a stair railing replaced, and James responded right away with a quote that was affordable. His team got the job done on time and within budget. He delivered exactly what I requested, a sturdy and stylish railing. Would definitely hire again.
