Didn't show up when he said he would but otherwise cut the tree down in an acceptable manner.
I initially purchased a Rick of Firewood and was delivered and stacked for $65. I asked for an estimate of the removal of a maple tree in the front yard and an Oak tree in the back yard. The estimate that I received for the tree in the front yard was $400 which was $700 less than the estimate that I received from another company. The received estimates from $2500 to $1700 for the Oak tree which was in a very difficult area where the crane and trucks could not be used so it all had to be hauled out by hand. The oak tree was split and dying and leaning towards the house. I told Chuck that I had been putting it off because I couldn't afford to pay $1700 to have it removed. He told me that it was a real danger and saw the trampoline in the back yard and said that he would hate for something to happen to the kids if it were to come down. He charged me $600 to remove the large oak tree and did excellent work as promised. He also brought some Cherry and Hickory wood for me because he noticed that I had a smoker when he delivered the firewood the day before. I can't say enough about his service, professionalism, and charging what I could afford because he was worried about my kids safety. I have referred him to several neighbors and family and all gave glowing reviews. He also followed up the next day to thank me for the business.
As of right now, very unhappy. Right now $199 is a lot of money to not have any work performed.

They were prompt and professional. They did what they said they would do and gave us an amazing price. I am so pleased with how much better all the trees look and the service I received. They went out of their way to accomodate our needs. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again. I found them on Angies List and I am so pleased. My first experience & won't be my last. Thnaks!!!!

On July 3, we returned home from an out-of-town weekend to find that the full-grown Bradford pear tree in our back yard had split in half. Because the damaged tree was laying on my and my neighbors fences but was well away from the house and any other hazards, I felled the remainder of the tree myself and broke damaged portions down into manageable pieces. However, I was left with an entire tree's worth of brush lying in my back yard, plus the 4' tall trunk I left standing to facilitate stump removal (if needed). I had purchased firewood from Chuck last winter, so I immediately thought of him when looking from someone to perform the brush removal. I called to make an appointment 7/9, and he swung by late that same afternoon to provide an estimate. For the same price as a Waste Management Bagster (that I would have had to fill myself) would have cost, Chuck was would cut the trunk down to ground level and and remove/chip all of the brush. I agreed with his price, and we settled on 7/13 for him to come take care of it. He was running a bit behind of Friday, but promised he'd take care of it Friday evening or Saturday morning. As I was heading out of town Friday evening, either was fine with me. When I returned home late Sunday night, the tree was gone, with nothing but the stump and a little firewood left behind.
Good price, solid service, and extremely easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to use Chuck again.

The work went very well. In four hours they removed a tree which had previously dropped a larger limb onto my house.
The climber would climb a main branch with a chain saw. He would cut off the smaller branches and let them fall where they would be picked up and fed into a shredder. On the larger branchs, he would tie a rope so that a man on the ground could control the descent of the branch.
Then the climber would saw off the main branch in sections small enough for a man to carry. When all the branches were off, he would cut sections the main truck from the top down.
When the main truck was short enough to be safely felled, he would cut it down. It would then be cut into slices small enough to
be loaded by two men into a truck.
After the wood was all loaded, the men spent a good hour raking the yard and cleaning the driveway.
I was quite pleased with the job they did.
