We gave a$6000 deposit in August 2018. No plans/drawings/work done until November. We had to go into litigation to recover the damages.....do not recommend this company. He is a crook.

We interviewed several pool companies and based on the good reviews here hired WR Pools on 5/21/18. John the salesman was of course very nice and laid everything out. He said we would have permits within 6 weeks. Gave a $4900 deposit and now one year later still no pool. We had a variance issue that took two months to iron out. Communication is terrible and when John actually responds it is just another story. We still need the equipment, diamond brite and pool decking installed. I don't know how they received any good reviews.

I don't like to write bad reviews, BUT this is the typical Florida scamster company. 1) NO LICENSE WITH THE STATE! 2) NO LEGAL BUSINESS ENTITY WITH THE STATE! 3) They will lie to your face and STEAL YOUR MONEY! 4) Every timeline they give you for construction WILL BE A LIE! 5) WITH NO LEGAL ENTITY THEY HAVE ZERO RECORD OF POOL EXPERIENCE, ZERO! 6) THEY WILL USE A QUILIFIER, THIS MEANS THEY DON'T DO THIER OWN WORK GOOD LUCK GETTING WARRANTY! 6) If you give them money after finding out on SUNBIZ they have no entity or checking with the DBPR for a pool contractors license. YOU deserve to get robbed like us! PLEASE do research on the companies you do business with, it only takes five minutes to verify this information. I hope Angie's List requires this in the future, we wouldn't have been scammed.

"We permit and complete pool projects every month. License and insurance info is on file at over a dozen municipalities. Some customers do not understand that unpermitted structures on their property can seriously slow the permit process. It's easy to throw out lines Like "good luck on your warranty" when you owe money for work completed. We have few warranty issues at all, and seek to resove all quickly. As you can see from the ratings scale, most customers are very happy with our work."

I have compiled a more accurate record of events for foreseeable legal purposes, but here's a quick summary. It has been 5 months since we paid the deposit to start. 8/27/18 We paid the deposit and John (the salesman) said we'll get the plans to the engineer the following week. After about 6 very frustrating weeks of me begging to get any kind of status, the drawings are completed. A couple small adjustments to the drawings and they are ready to submit for a permit. I'm promised that "they will make up the lost time in the Quick build" and the permit should be done in a few weeks.. After a few weeks - nothing, after month- nothing, after 6 weeks I breakdown and call Wanderson (the owner) and express how disappointed i am that all I've gotten is a run-around for 3 months and nothing has even started. Miraculously, a day later I'm told they are digging the hole the next day and spraying the shell the following week. So within a week they dig the hole and spray the shell with some mistakes, but the owner assured me he'd fix those. 12/20/18 As the shell is drying and the concrete guys are leaving the owner tells me it should take a few more weeks to finish due to the holidays, but the hard part is over. So 1/09/19 after a few weeks with nothing done and no one showing up, i call the owner. He says I gotta get this done and they'll be there tomorrow. He has dropped off 1 guy with a shovel and a wheel barrel twice since then that removed some bushes and dug the plumbing trench. It's now 1/31/19 (basically February) with nothing really done and the owner hasn't answered the phone the last couple times I've called, so now I'm writing this today. I'm an easy going guy and this is my first bad review of any company. I should have done it earlier to protect others on Angie's List, but I kept giving WR the benefit of the doubt. Like I said before there is a lot more to this, if anyone wants more info or has a question email me imv75@aol.com I'll update with any new events.

It has not gone well. Construction has been delayed several times and the company does not proactively call to explain the delay. We have had to chase. Two weeks ago, John stated digging would start this week. It did not. If you are in negotiation with this company, I would recommend that you consider other options. After contacting the owner, he personally took responsibility and excavation will start immediately. He also agreed to accelerate project completion. We're feeling more optimistic

Terrible experience overall. I really don't like posting negative reviews on AngiesList, especially for a company like this where the owner is a nice guy. But I feel it's my responsibility and I owe it to other AngiesList members - and you should do the same! I'm sure we've all hired "A" rated providers and our own experience is nothing like all the rave reviews on AngiesList...so we need to post all reviews for the benefit of all! Anyway, a really bad overall experience here. It started with the sales guy John. He comes off as the trusting grandfatherly type - you'll be ready to entrust him with your life. Unfortunately, he's a wolf in sheep's clothing and nothing more than the rest of the shady sales individuals in S. Florida. We talked extensively about the work to be done, and it was not done. I actually wanted to pay MORE for certain upgrades - we were moving into a new house and converting a dilapidated lap pool into a much larger pool. So I wanted to pay more to really make it a unique pool - I told John time and time again I didn't want it to look like every other pool people have - so we agreed on water features and river rok upgrade so that the color of the pool would really pop. But, they forgot the water features and the color was strandard diamondbrite and the same dull light blue color in 98% of pools out there. Later John said since it wasn't in the contract he had no knowledge of it - he said we discussed this in detail in his van....which was completely made up - I didn't even know he HAD a van! The first 7-8 weeks were a nightmare. Workers would show up one day, then not show for another 5-7 days, then do 1 day of work, then not show for another week, etc...All this time I'd call John to see what the deal was, and each time he promised they'd be there the next day - and they weren't. After a while I actually thought this was some kind of joke. There were many other issues too- one being that they had to move my A/C handler on the side of the house so they could get equipment in my backyard. John assured me this was no big deal and they'd replace the air handler the same day. Sure enough, several days later I was calling John begging him to put the air handler back as we had no A/C!!! Also, I realize your yard is going to get beat up when you put in a new pool - but they absolutely destroyed the grass on the side of the home and the backyard. See attached pics. One of the pics shows how they created their own little dirt driveway on the side of the house (keep in mind the "before" picture would've shown fully grown green grass). The other picture shows that my entire backyard (not just the pool area, but a good 40+ feet area around the pool) was completely dirt. I had to get the entire yard sodded when they were done.....Multiple delays, lies about finish times, etc....John initially told me the whole project would be 5-6 weeks, it wound up taking several months....After a couple months of lies and chaos I finally got the ownder, Wanderson, involved. He is extremely difficult to reach. But when I finally connected with him things did improve a bit, at least from a timing perspective, and that may have had to do with my reminding him I'm an AngiesList member and expect to post a full review when this is finally finished. He at least came back after the pool was finished to add the water feature - which I still paid for, of course....He is a nice guy, and I think he means well, but he has absolutely no idea what his sales guy John is doing or telling people. Also they sub-contract, so Wanderson blamed some of the issues we had on the sub-contractors. I could go on and on, but this review is already too long. Oh one last thing - the final picture I posted is from one of the first days on the job when the workers actually showed up - they drained the pool and left my kids new pool floaties (that were given to us by a friend as a little housewarming gift) in the bottom of the pool with the debris, along with the workers' empty bottles and lunch trash which they continued to do on an ongoing basis..... PS...Every time I suggested I'd go down to Lighthouse Point to meet John at their "showroom", he insisted he'd meet me somewhere to save me the drive. I truly wonder if the showroom even exists.

"Re: Customer Complaint We strive to make the pool construction process as positive as possible. We have to assume the pool has been operating satisfactory for 8 months. I do not believe the customer has contacted us for repair or warranty work. The customer closed on their home in Delray Beach 10/17/17 after a delay. This project involved a conversion of a lap pool to a family entertainment pool. The pool was increased in size by 87% to approximately 900SF. There was substantial demolition and equipment replacement. We provided numerous deck options so customer could maximize value. The pool fill was started on 1/5/18. We wish the project had moved faster. Diamond Brite Super Blue was part of the contract from the beginning, with the option to upgrade to River Rok Pebble Finish for $2,365. Contract dated 9/27/17 Option Twin Sheer Arc Waterfalls $1500. On Sunday 1/7/17 the following texts were received: 12:00 PM “Is it Diamond Brite Super Blue It looks white to me” 12:11 PM “The brochure you gave me shows diamond brite super blue as a blue speckled pattern. As to the air conditioning: Text received 11/15/17 “I will be replacing the AC unit you removed that is currently in the garage. When can I get a new unit in there? Worker discussed, specifics unknown. Text sent 11/20/17 “Hi Bill I was not sure if supervisor relayed you czn put air in. Also I can stop by house later and bring tile and coping samplesThx john Customers contractor unavailable to install so we scrambled to install in holiday week. We certainly wish we could have reinstalled quicker. Superb, had some minor delays along the way due to holidays, but owner kept us informed and worked with us well. The milestones established in the contract are perfect and spread out the payments to 6 points. Owner was on-site weekly to ensure progress and always asked for feedback regarding the work, conduct of his employees and if we had any issues or concerns. We made some minor changes along the way, and owner worked with us without additional charges. I would hire this company again on the spot! Even after the pool was completed, the owner came by continuously to ensure everything was working and checked the water balance and cleaned the filter. The owner and staff are very polite, considerate and really go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction.

It took a bit longer than anticipated, but it turned out beautifully. They were responsive and sincerely aimed to please us throughout the project. The owner was on hand and personally saw that the job was completed to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company!

The finished pool exceeded our high expectations. Ours was a complicated job with extensive design, mechanical, and electrical upgrades; were there slight delays and issues along the way? Of course, but most importantly, we never had any doubt the end result would be 1 in a million, and it was. Wanderson, the owner, is fully accountable at every step of the way, and he never fails to make good or deliver. If you need him, he is there, and he will make good on every promise and expectations. We cannot imagine using anyone else, and WR Pools gets out highest recommendation.

We were very happy with the results. The work was done pretty much on schedule, though it took longer than the original estimate of three weeks (which may not have been realistic). Overall, the workmanship was excellent and where we did see some imperfections or things we wanted changed, they were fixed immediately. The pool looks great. W R Pools was competitive in its pricing and they and their employees/sub-contractors, with a few minor exceptions, showed up on time and as planned. We very much liked that Wanderson, the owner, was involved some of the time, even though he may have already had employees and/or subcontractors on the site. He was accessible, responsive if we had any issues, etc. John, his salesperson, was the first of five companies to return our call and did so on a Saturday; none of the others did so until the following Monday and one company never responded. Work was done in Weston, FL but did not want to share specific address.

Communication with the salesman from day one was exceptional. Once the pool construction began it was 2.5 months from start to completion . When any issues arose they were promptly addressed and handled by the builder. Any concerns I had and the builder and salesman were always a phone call away. Communication was exceptional. At the end of it all the pool looks great , and most importantly the family is happy. Would definitely recommend WR pools to anyone looking to build a pool.

Other than it took a little longer than we hoped for, the workmanship and quality was excellent. Any problems (very few) were handled immediately and without question. They redesigned our waterfall feature and a wall behind our outdoor kitchen far surpassing our expectations

On schedule and on time. Wanderson and his crew at WR Pools were amazing. Our pool was finished and complete on time. Since the completion of the pool if we had any questions Wanderson or someone in his crew would be out the next day if not on the same day to answer or show us.

Beware! WR Pools is not a legitimate company. They took our deposit and disappeared. We are now taking legal action. Do NOT hire this company, do not ask for a quote, do not get involved with them at all. We signed a contract and paid a deposit with John B. Davidson and Wanderson Rodrigues (who we never met) of WR Pools for a standard pool construction in February 2017. John informed us he was working with the City of Miami's permitting office and that there were complications (this is common), but after more than two months of us constantly calling him for updates and only receiving very evasive and sketchy information ("It should all be through permitting by the end of the week," then "next week," etc.), we called the City of Miami's permitting office directly in May 2017 directly who informed us that the permitting process had not even been begun for our property and there was no application on file at all. When we learned that no action had been taken and that John had been lying to us for months, we contacted him and informed him that since WR Pools did not uphold their end of the contract they needed to return our deposit immediately. Since this hasn't happened yet, we are now working with our lawyer on the next steps for taking direct legal action with this company.

We had several discussions with Ms. [Member Name Removed] on [Member Information Removed]’s point of view on the pool’s location. They maintained that the pool could not be located in the preferred spot due to setback considerations. We pursued the clients preferred location because It could be argued the pool could be located there and it met setback requirements. Our engineer spent a number of weeks trying to resolve the issue. At the point we thought we had the issue resolved MS. [Member Name Removed] indicated that She no longer wished to proceed with her swimming pool. Setback issues are normally resolved in a much faster time frame. We are sorry we were not able to resolve these issues in a satisfactory time frame. We were in the process of issuing Ms. [Member Name Removed] a refund when this complaint was filed. We will be happy to resolve this issue by issuing a full refund of deposit. For her to get refund she needs to sign a hold harmless letter This letter protects WR Pools This letter affirms the issue has been completely resolved This letter stops any further action on her part At this point the letter has to be right, an attorney can provide a letter for you to use, You just need the correct letter to send not any representation. Call me in the morning with questions. She gets her deposit, the issue is resolved by The letter (very important) People can be vindictive so WR Pools Needs that letter detailing that the complaint has been resolved completely. If the issue ever comes up again The letter shows all issues are concluded. Note: that letter does not need to be mentioned in your response. Angies list will give her your response. They will also tell her it’s a great Deal for her. The process of letter for refund can be worked out shortly."

Choosing the best contractor for our large pool and deck remodel was a very serious job for us. We interviewed 6 pool contractors and planned to keep going until we found the one we could trust and provide the best work at a fair price. We found that with WR Pools and Spas. From sales with John to construction with Wanderson (owner) and his crew was excellent. Wanderson was hands-on at our project from beginning to end. It was very important for us to see the integrity and quality of the work that was performed. Our project took approximately 4 weeks to complete. They continued to keep things moving along during the 4 week period. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone stressing over the "pool project." It's hard to find a good and honest contractor these days and one does not need to worry when hiring this company. Thank you Wanderson, John, and crew....We are enjoying the beauty of our pool and deck.

The quality of the work was very good , the only improvement they need to make is to better coordinate when the work is done it took a little longer than expected. I would recommend WR pools the owner is involved and checks the work to make sure is done right very responsive and returns your call any time you call him.

WR Pools & Spas came highly recommended to me by a friend in the Construction Business to solve a drainage problem. I interviewed 5 companies to find the right solution, and Wanderson (the owner) gave me confidence that his team could solve the problem promptly and for a reasonable price. They did such a good job, I had them do my pavers on two separate decks: one Travertine pavers, and the other concrete pavers. Both turned out beautifully. Wanderson and his crews are very customer service oriented -- they're polite, communicative, responsive, responsible & trustworthy. For all my renovation projects in South Florida, WR Pools & Spas have been my favorite company to work with. I only wish I'd found them before I installed my Swimming Pool -- I would have chosen them without hesitation.

Wanderson and his crew came to us after a horrific experience with another pool company had through neglect and poor work left us in terrible shape. I wish we would have started with WR but thank heaven they came. The owner cares deeply about every detail and did a fabulous job for us. I have referred them to my friends with total confidence.
